For anyone looking for a "budget-conscious" Beach-Side Studio, this is for you! This 1950's apartment building is located steps away from the beach access with a home located in between the apartment building and beach.

If you are traveling light (with no need for an over- abundance of space) this Beach Side Studio is just perfect. We are located just steps away from the beach, with no streets to cross.

The Studio has a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a small eat-in kitchen and a full bathroom.

The bathroom has a combined bathtub and shower with a hand held shower head. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to cook a meal. We have a full size refrigerator and a gas stove.

Off street parking is just outside your front door.

We also welcome longer term stays in this efficiency apartment.

I've allowed for 3 guests just in case a couple may have an infant or baby. But there is only one Queen Size Bed for sleeping, no other bedding arrangements would work in this studio; it is ideal for a maximum of 2 adults.
Again, the beach is a short one minute walk with no streets to cross!

We are also pet friendly (with a $49 fee)

This Studio Apartment is one of 6 units in this building. The building was built in the 1950's, and as such, many of the the windows, systems and appliances are dated.

We are proud to offer a beach side apartment that is clean, comfortable and provides all the necessities - Smart TV, WiFi, Full Kitchen, Bathroom and best of all - the beaches of the Chesapeake Bay!

We have off-street parking and are close to a brewery/BBQ restaurant that is walking distance. Fishing from the surf is excellent, and the beach is also pet-friendly.

These are older units and do show some of their age as many of the vintage gas stoves remain, as well as the cast iron tubs and sinks. Some of these tubs and sinks may have a bit of rust, but all has been fastidiously cleaned for your use! We are proud to be able to offer such low-priced beach side studios, but we also want our guests to have the proper expectations. These units are clean, but will show "age" with some rust stains on the bathroom appliances, windows that may not open and close properly, flooring that is a bit worn, cracks in the plaster on the walls and/or ceilings, and appliances that show their age; if you will find these issues bothersome, please look for a more contemporary place for your vacation.

If, however, you prioritize being conveniently located to the beach where you plan on enjoying the majority of your vacation, we believe you will be happy here. You will also enjoy a clean, comfortable bed, a large Smart TV (use your own internet streaming), cool air conditioning (window units), WiFi and the personal comfort of being able to bring your furry friend with you!

Please look at the pictures prior to booking; perhaps you will appreciate some of these vintage pieces left in these older properties as much as we do. Thank you for your interest in our Studio; we look forward to hosting you!

Great location

This place was perfect for my boyfriend and myself to stay for a few nights. Since we were busy at the beach and doing other fun things during the day, it was a nice and clean place to lay our heads. I’ll be renting here again!

The location was great. The stay overall it was a below average experience, the main thing was it was not clean. The floors were sticky, the utensils, such as plates and cups were not cleaned properly. The instructions are also outdated. After having a heck of a time attempting to retrieve the initial check in email that I had never received, which also could have been a forwarding issue with the booking site. It also did not have check out other than stating they were inside the studio but they were not. Now this would have been fine, but when I asked the host how to proceed with check out (over 24 hours before) I never received a response.

Close to beach

Could be so much cuter if someone would just paint walls, looks like they are melting, smells like smoke, is NOT ocean front but close. Someone’s pet chewed all legs of unique wooden furniture. Walls are SO SO thin, can hear people walk around upstairs and their TV noise competes with your TV noise. Window A/C unit right at head of bed. Very loud. Nice beach vacation, relaxing, just plan to sleep on beach because too much noise otherwise. Apartment is right next to road also so you hear street traffic all hours day and night. TV is also just a smart TV. There is no local channels or cable news. The president was shot and I had to listen to coverage on my Sirius on my computer. I do feel it was overpriced, but it was only a walk from the beach so that is priceless

This place had it all!

The only nice thing about this apartment was its proximity to the beach. It was a short walk over a sand dune from the property.However, it was not a great stay. The bed was very uncomfortable, there was chipping, paint all over the room. The apartment smelled awful of what to me smelled like a mixture of cigarette smoke, and cats. They used a dish towel as a curtain for the bathroom, and the tub backed up with water. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the room was noisy from the street outside. This was because the windows were open with air-conditioning units. Problem is, the air conditioning units were too small for the windows, and on the side of the air conditioning unit there were cracks on the sides of the windows where the draft, and insects were able to get in. There’s a huge furnace apparatus in the middle of the bedroom that is not shown in the pictures, and there were huge dark stains on the one chair in the bedroom.I complained to the host, and he sent a cleaning crew in, which did unclog the tub. Their answer for the dirty chair was to throw a blanket over it as shown in my pictures. There was no place outside to spray off your feet after the beach, so the tub clogging is due to sand being washed down the drain. I asked a few times for the host to check me out after the first and second day, and issue me a refund, and was ignored, although he told me the property was in very high demand and he could easily re-rent it. Bad stay.

The fine print

Just because this property is listed as an ocean view studio that is just steps from the beach, don’t expect to be able to see any ocean from this property. In order to access the beach, you have to go through the back parking lot/alley/driveway, between two houses, up a slight incline, over a wooden step- type structure with a missing plank, and then down a hill. Warning: Be very careful on this step type structure, because I still have a massive bruise and sore hip and thigh from where I fell one week ago. Speaking of fall hazards, the bathtub does not drain properly. Therefore, by the time you are finished a shower, you have about 2 inches of soapy water lapping around your feet and ankles. The combination of this soapy water and the slick bottom of the bath tub surface, can make turning inside or stepping out of, can be slippery. The listed microwave and blender are nonexistent as well as the carbon monoxide detector and the batteries for the smoke alarm. .Air-conditioned means that there is a window unit in the main room, a fan in the kitchen, and nothing in the bathroom. Speaking of nothing in the bathroom, there are no electrical outlets. . I would have hated to see the cleanliness of this property if the “enhanced cleaning procedures” were not in place. The windowsill in the bathroom, the only available flat surface besides the top of the toilet tank, has layers of dirt and grime, especially in the corners. The shelves of the kitchen cabinets are sprinkled with something.

Not nearly as clean as displayed on the site. Do not recommend whatsoever. Dirty knives, unclean kitchen, questionable bedsheets, dust EVERYWHERE. A large space heater takes up the majority of the right side of the bed. The place is far too expensive for the quality. It is displayed as much better than it really is. Also carries an odd and unpleasant smell. The window above the bed leaks and doesn’t keep cold air out. Beach was in-reach. Literally right behind the house. Parking was easy but shops were a bit of a drive, nothing unreasonable however.Shower was cold. No hot water to speak of.

Great stay, pet friendly

Husband, myself and our dog enjoyed our stay. The place was as described. Not directly on the beach but just a short walk between the beachside homes and over a dune. Seemed to be a great location, the beach area was not crowded at all. Dogs happily playing and owners respectful of others. The place was comfortable, nice kitchen area, Cold frig, all your basics met. I would recommend you bring extra towels, just basics are provided. The a/c was a bit loud over the bed but it made for cool sleeping. We had packed a small fan and glad we did since the A/C was in the main room and it helped move the air into kitchen. A small fan was also provided. We would definitely like to return

Accurate Listing- Budget friendly, pleasant weekend beach getaway

Property owner was responsive- love the easy-to-access, dog friendly beach. Unit was perfect for 2 people and our dog, but definitely no more than that. Between the window AC unit and close proximity to the road, could be a little noisy, but overall it's a cute, affordable spot thats kept well-maintained for its age, and everyone nearby was very friendly and respectful! Would stay again.

Cozy and Convenient

Honestly, this property had everything we needed...but we are an easy to plase group! A kitchen, all the utensils you would need to make yourself a meal, Bathroom had a nice shower with good water pressure, And the bed was basically comfortable. There were some dusty spots and places where I questioned how long it had been since being cleaned but for having our own private beach just steps away and access to all of the cute restaurants in the area, it really was absolutely worth it and I would certainly stay again! My only negative comment is that We stayed in unit one and I will say there are some really sharp nails by the bathroom that my children cut their feet on... that seriously needs attended to! Overall, cozy and convenient!

Older small apartments turned into rentals

We suggest looking elsewhere near the area if plans are to stay more than for just an overnight. Clean linens, bedding & towels but only Window unit AC, needs fans to circulate air, and power strips cords needed for outlets, nice to be a few short steps to the beach. The brewery and Restaurant located just a few steps from there is great!

Honesty is the best policy

It's a nice little place but it's to close to the road. Just the noise alone from the street was a distraction. Where I was most upset about was the cockroaches in the kitchen. I understand that old buildings may have a few bugs. This was unacceptable. My husband and I never get away due to many reasons, so we where hopefull. I did contact the owner and she offered to come by and take care of the bug infestation. I do thank the home owner for at least trying to take care of the bugs. Honesty, when renting this unit should be made clear. Thank you.
