We are ready to welcome you to our Ocean View Double Suite located at the beautiful Forest Dunes Resort in the heart of Myrtle Beach!

Our suite can sleep up to six guests.

FOREST DUNES RESORT AMENITIES
The Forest Dunes Resort has so many options for the whole family or for a couple on a romantic vacation. As a guest at our suite you will be able to relax and enjoy your vacation fully with our array of water features and guest amenities.

*Each adult will be provided a wristband at the time of arrival. Wristbands are needed to access pools; each adult will need a wristband for pool deck entry. Wristbands are also needed to access the lobby from 10pm ‐ 7am and access the fourth-floor parking garage crosswalk and stairwell.

*There will be a $50 charge each for lost or damaged wristbands.

Great Amenities and Location but Room needs Cosmetic Updates & Better Check In

No one at the check in counter when we arrived (around 6 p.m.), tried calling the number provided but no answer. After about ten minutes, a lady walked into the office and I was able to check in. She was very friendly and got us checked in quickly. The hotel itself is wonderful, with a kids pool, outdoor pool, hot tub, indoor pool AND lazy river. The best part is the Buckets restaurant inside. Great staff and really good food and drinks. There's also a playground a couple blocks down, and it's all right across from the beach. The suite itself needs to be repainted, the pull out couch is not comfortable, and the toilet connected to the bedroom makes a very loud noise when flushed. We love this place, but will probably look for a different room next time.

VRBO dates not accurate

When I arrived my reservation was not booked for the Correct dates. I had proof of two payments for the date that I arrived. It took 2 hours after traveling 2 days to find us a room. I feel like Vrbo should have done more than say “I’m sorry” for this very stressful mistake on their part! Not sure I will be using VRBO again! The Forest Dunes property was in a wonderful area though. The property was kept very clean. We did enjoy our stay on the resort after the very shaky start!

NEVER AGAIN!!!

This is my 3rd visit to MB in 2 years and by far the worst!!! Upon entering the property, the walls appeared as if they have not been painted in YEARS. The baseboards are filthy, there is dust 3 inches thick under the beds as well as trash. The beds are hard and u comfortable. The shower curtain falls down every time you move it. The sink fixtures have so much hard water stains that it looks like Anthrax on them. The plumbing in the 1/2 bath makes a loud churning sound when you flush the toilet. It sometimes makes the same noise when you use the kitchen sink. The ceiling in the hall off the kitchen is leaking and moist to the touch and on the bricks of caving in. You can barely move around in the bedroom it is so TIGHT. You can barely get into the closet. The stove is rustedand broiler hanging. The garbage disposal smells like feces. The balcony door is very hard to open/close and the handle is about to come off. And last, there are 18 floors and only 1 working elevator. These are things not expected at a "RESORT". I will never recommend this establishment to ANYONE!!!

FRUSTRATING stay with many annoyances, feeling ripped off with little recourse: AVOID

Summary: had I seen more recent, accurate photos of the true condition of this particular unit, or seen it in person first, I would NOT have booked it. There was not one major issue, but rather a very long list of minor annoyances that we tried to ignore over a 5-night stay; the final straw was getting locked out of the room on the final day because our door keypad code expired a day early. Kudos to the local management of the property who handled several of the issues--and I really should have reported these as I encountered each one. But THERE ARE SO MANY, I realize now just how BAD it was. Kitchen sink faucet handle fell off, completely not screwed on at all. The walls have several years of wear and tear without a repainting. Baseboards and walls are dusty, haven't been wiped down in months/years. All bathroom sink fixtures are pitted or stained with a white crust. Balcony door won't open without extreme amounts of force, wasn't really safe to use. The cabinet drawers in the living area slide open on their own because it's not level. Lamps in the bedroom were not in the correct outlets or not plugged in at all, which means the light switch at the door did nothing. One lamp cord in the bedroom was heavily damaged, missing a ground pin jammed in the outlet. Missing decorative picture in the living room, with two bare hooks sticking out of the wall. Floor in the unit seems to have not been swept/mopped consistently, with notable sand on every floor surface. The newer of the two pans in the kitchen has a handle so loose it's nearly falling off. Kitchen faucet drips, even after the handle was fixed by maintenance later in our stay. The bathroom shower curtain rod won't adjust and falls down easily. There are no door stops, so the walls are slightly marred by the door knobs, with the interesting side effect that you can lock yourself out of a room when the lock button bumps into the wall. Under the beds in the bedroom, we found an empty Dasani bottle and some random boards. Bedroom dresser has 3 different style of handles--really? Ceiling fan light switch doesn't work, so to get the lights off and run just the fan you have to unscrew the bulbs. The beach was great! This unit needs work; the more time I spent on the beach, away from the annoyances, the better.

Great location!

Loved the location and views. Bedroom is very cramped, wasn’t a huge deal to us though. This particular room definitely needs new paint! The walls throughout it are in pretty rough condition. Overall, we had a good time. We loved being able to walk right across the street and on to the beach!
