Pool and views were great! The unit 105 needs work. Not a very well decorated. Furniture very uncomfortable. Very drab unit! The kitchen faucet was broken as well as the trim across the floor. Other than that, we still had a good time. After all you’re in Hawaii! Oh also the floor was very dirty. Our feet were black just walking accross it. Thank you

The door that brings you outside at the lahaina was broken with a label of not to open because the guide splits in two. The reason of booking this place was because the view was great but I could not enjoy it.

Kulakane 5 star licatio

Loved it. Perfect location, right on ocean with first floor access to ocean, pool. Seemed to attract good people. Turtles showed up everyday. West Maui is perfect. No need to drive too far to great beaches. Nice access to the boardwalks along resorts if you like to walk or run.

Clean and Simple

The unit was clean and simple. Easy access to the pool and steps from the little beach. We sat on the wall each night watching the sunset and the turtles swimming in front of us. We were a little surprised there was no air conditioning in the room but the fans and cross breeze at night worked fine. People around were very nice.

Great property managers, but the apt needs work

The bed was comfortable, but the apt had a damaged screen that they fixed as soon as they could. The carpet was dirty and should be replaced if they are renting the condo. If you don't spend much time there, it's fine, it is ocean front and has a beautiful view. The owner and manager were responsive and let us have a later checkout because my husband got sick which was nice.

Needs updated

Lighting throughout the unit needs updated. Cooking utensils also needs updated. Vented windows will close at time making a very loud noise. Really disturbing in the middle of the night. Lock on Patio door does not work. If you move the door back and forth, the lock lever will drop down releasing the door.

The only good thing about this unit is outside

We stayed at this unit for two nights before moving to another building. The only saving grace was outside. My kids loved the little pool, and I loved having coffee on the lawn every morning. The inside is a different story. I felt uncomfortable the moment we walked in. The walls were dirty, there were ants all over the kitchen (before we even brought food in), the ceiling fan had exposed wires, the screen door handle was broken, the walls were filthy... It was horribly run down and dirty. I would not have stayed another night if we had a longer reservation. I was really disappointed.

Mold... Mold... Mold.. but a beautiful view..

Our view was great... The grounds were very well kept.. the on site staff is very friendly... But the second we walked into our condo, we had the over whelming smell of mold... We ended up having to switch resorts due to our boys being sick since the second day of arrival. I contacted Becky about the mold and she said she had "a contractor look at it and it wasn't mold", infact, just peeling paint! ;( If you are brave enough, you be the critics when you smell and see it for yourself. 🤮 PS... Don't look under the bathroom sink, back window sill in bedroom,or under the bed.. all are absolutely disgusting and extremely unsanitary... I wish I could post the pictures I sent VRBO and Becky... VRBO was overly accommodating once reported and they witnessed the images of the photos snapped!

On Oct. 25, this guest left me a message saying that he checked out 1 day early due to mold "all over the unit". He had already stayed for 10 nights and hadn’t contacted me once during that time. I immediately went to the unit with an associate and inspected the entire unit, specifically under the kitchen and bathroom sinks and around the windows (because he mentioned these areas). There was no mold evident anywhere. I responded to the guest, who disagreed with me and asked for this to be “made right”. I asked this guest why he stayed in the unit for 10 days before reporting this matter. He said that he didn’t discover the mold until the 10th day (as opposed to what he has written above). I agreed to contact the owner to discuss this matter. I also called HomeAway (HA). I explained that I thought this guest was seeking compensation for something that didn't exist. HA suggested that I take pictures. I not only took pictures, but I also scheduled a contractor to go to that unit the following morning before it was cleaned and check for mold. He reported no signs of mold anywhere in the unit. After discussing his findings with the owner, I sent a message to the guest indicating that since no evidence of mold was found by the contractor, we considered this issue resolved. A few days later, this guest sent a complaint to HA asking for a full refund. I then contacted HA and sent them my photos and a copy of the contractor’s report/bill. HA did their investigating and reported back that my evidence was sufficient, the case was closed and this account remains in “good standing”. Several days ago, this review appeared. When I questioned HA, they told me that they are not able to remove reviews unless I can show them explicitly where the guest said “in writing” that if I didn’t compensate them, they would post a negative review. We have many repeat guests to this unit and this is the first time anyone has ever claimed finding mold. The areas under both sinks (bathroom and kitchen) are completely dry and mold-free. Under the bathroom sink, the back wall is cracked, but there is no mold. The wood trim around the windows is aging, paint chipping, etc., but there is no mold there. We sincerely believe that this guest was disappointed that the owner didn’t agree to pay for his vacation accommodations after spending 10 of 11 nights there. We encourage you to read our many other positive reviews prior to this guest’s stay and others that have come in since his stay.

Not our cup of tea

Let me say first that I have been coming to Maui for over 40 years and have stayed at a variety of places on the island, from 5-star luxury hotels to vacation rentals (such as this one) to family homes owned by locals. We stayed 4 nights, and the view is pretty unbeatable. The location is pretty great as well, as it's within walking distance to everything you'd need for a comfy stay in a rental condo. I said it's not our cup of tea because while I thought I knew was I was getting into after looking at all the photos several times, well, when we got there everything was much older and run down than it looked in the photos. It's like staying at grandma's house, with all the furnishings, decor, kitchen goods, and most of the technology from her time too. Thankfully the unit had wi-fi at least (how can you not in this day and age). That push-key combination lockbox at the front door that is so antiquated and fiddly, and having to walk around with a key that you could lose were a bit of a pain. The bed was comfy to lay down in, but if you're beside another person and they move at all, the whole bed moves with them. The living room and patio furniture were totally uncomfortable and could use a deep clean. The bathroom is only big enough for 1 person to be in at a time. And the biggest gripe I had wasn't with anything inside the unit but should be stated because people staying there should be aware: the groundskeeper starts his work at 7 am each morning and makes noise and chats with people right outside the bedroom window. There's no way to avoid hearing this noise unless you're hard of hearing or you wear earplugs -- and even with the earplugs I could still hear him doing his thing. I understand people have to work, but maybe he could do other things around the property that aren't right near the bedroom windows where people are trying to sleep during their vacation? Even with the view and the location, I wouldn't stay here again.

We are so sorry that this guest was not completely satisfied with their stay. Our guests' satisfaction is very important to us. Most of our guests who stay in this unit are very happy, and we have plenty of repeat guests. As this guest points out, the view and location are both fabulous! As for the lock box, this is standard for vacation rental properties on Maui which are not in the front desk programs. There is a lock box located right on the front door of the unit. There is a four-digit code that opens that lock box, where a key is found inside. That code is given to our guests upon receipt of their final payment. When our guests arrive, regardless of the time of day or night, they can simply let themselves into the unit. We also provide two additional sets of keys inside of the unit in case our guests wish to carry a set with them. Of course, our guests don't have to carry any keys and can simply use the lock box instead. The bathroom is a standard size and has a vanity sink/cabinet, toilet and walk-in shower. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, carving knives, mixing bowls, cooking/baking equipment, etc. The carpets and upholstery are cleaned on a regular basis. Finally, there are posted quiet hours. However, this guest may have heard other guests talking outside in the parking lot. I just spoke to the front desk and was told that lawn work never starts as early as 7 AM. Again, we are extremely disappointed that this guest was not completely satisfied, and we take all feedback seriously. Look around. Nicer places to rent out there

The listing detail you have now is not the write up you had in July. Had I read what you have now, I would not have rented. The condo is deplorable. Not bright or inviting at all. I’m sure all the landscaping will look great when its done. But you still have to go back to the condo. The furniture iis old, dark and uncomfortable. I have nicer more comfortable furniture on my patio. Your Costco drapes don’t brighten up the place at all, and look terrible. A foot and a half to long. Cannot open up the length of the sliding glass door or the window. Did not even finish the ceiling after hanging the drape rods. Holes from the old rods not filled, and the and the ceiling above the drapes unfinished. The tangled mess behind the T.V. was a joy to look at. You mention to lock the doors when not there. Two good pulls on the sliding glass door and it opens. All the butcher block knives and not one could cut a tomato. No sharpner. The plates and bowls are cheap plastic. The plates all have knife marks. Five or so wine glasses, a couple tall glasses but no drinking glasses at all. The place looks cheap and I would be embarrassed to rent it out.

Great place to stay

Construction was about what we expected and when workers after hours noise got out of hand it was dealt with immediately!! Location was great and condo had everything we needed and bed super comfortable. Only complaint a few packs of salt and pepper and sugar would have been nice to start out with as there is absolutely nothing

Property should not be put on rent!

Feel cheated as there was construction going on in the backyard where the view to the ocean was supposed to be ( the pictures are completely misleading). Construction workers start early and once they are there you can’t even open the blinds unless you don’t mind not having any privacy. The view which was the selling point- all I could see was fences and a dumpster. The access to ocean which was supposed to be there was blocked off due to construction. Very bad experience. Please don’t rent unless the construction is complete. And even then I think there are a lot of better properties at a cheaper rate. Never coming near this property ever again.

Great location/not so great overall

My husband and I had planned this stay for back in April. In Aug we received word there would be some construction that could block our view and access to the seawall/ocean. It stated that the first floor would be impacted the most due to view blockage. They offered us 30% or we could cancel. We had already booked flights/rental etc so we took the 30% off that stated we would be refunded upon check in. When we got there we indeed were sadden by lack of view. Construction started earlier than stated. The workers stayed in the next door unit so we could hear them loudly at times. Also we booked this room specifically because of the listed AC. I have a condition that causes night sweats and a month before our visit we read reviews stating there was no longer AC but they could provide fans. It helped slightly but it was still uncomfortable. We also heard that the all the units were given 30% off. If they clearly stated the first floor would be impacted the most I think we should have been given slightly higher discount then the rest. Lastly not only was our refund not given when we arrived it took them an additional week and a half after we came home for it to be processed after I had to message them twice. We love Maui and have gone twice this year and this was our first visit to this property. Although the location is great we may have to find somewhere on next visit.

Superb ocean-view relaxation spot

I stayed here for 2 weeks and loved it! The patio was my favorite part. On most mornings, I saw a rainbow in front Molokai. Everyday I saw surfacing whales in the distance throughout the day and sea turtles directly in front of the sea wall. The condo was very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked by the management company. The property is conveniently-located to many sights, stores, and restaurants. Some shops and restaurants are in walking distance. The community of the building is a mix of residents and visitors and everyone is very friendly. The management team was very helpful and responsive to questions. One small drawback is that the footsteps and movements of the neighbors above are clearly audible. Also, please note: the listing includes air conditioning as an amenity but that is not accurate.

Great location, amazing views, would definitely recommend

Easy to find, you walk to a beach access and some shops. Great communication with the property manager, very comfortable beds, amazing views and the people here are very nice.

Fantastic!

Couldn’t have asked for a better view. Absolutely beautiful! Our second week here was not as we expected due to the Coronavirus. We did not leave the condo much during this time but you really didn’t need to. We will be back for sure.

Beautiful spot!!

Condo was cozy and the view from the lanai was AMAZING! We saw whales, turtles and sea lions just out the back door. Gorgeous sunset views too! About 10 minutes from Front Street. My only suggestion: perhaps updating bedding would be in order as the comforter had yellow staining. Condo was clean and and well stocked with beach items (chairs, towels, cooler and snorkel gear). Mahalo for a great stay!

You get what you pay for

I have stayed here before and for the money , the location can’t be beat. If you are looking for high end With lots of amenities , this is not it. The condo is a little “tired” but it is adequate and was fine for me
