Grandpa’s cozy house was built with love by grandpa in 1951 and has been completely remodeled with all the comforts of home. House is conveniently located 2 miles from Morphy Lake State park; half mile from the Santa Fe National Forest, 5 miles from the Carson National Forest, both with excellent hiking trails; 10 miles from Pendaries Resort and Golf Course, 15 miles to Coyote Creek state park, and half hour drive to Sippapu and Angel Fire Ski Resorts.
Grandpa’s Cozy House is located 4 miles south of Mora which hosts 4 Restaurants.

Private and quite

Great stay was quite and peaceful, the home was clean and remodeled, No Wifi service but Cell phone service was great.

Great spot for Work Crew

The house was close to our jobsite which was super convenient. It's an older house but they have done a great job sprucing it up and having the conveniences of home. We were so happy to have a kitchen for our week long stay. Thanks!

Great location near Mora, NM

We stayed in this rental during a recent visit for a family celebration in Mora, NM. This property was perfectly located just a few miles from our family's property. All in all, the house is as advertised. It is an older home (as most are in the area), but well-stocked and appointed. There was plenty of room for our family of four, and the beds were comfortable. We did have some minor issues with the cleanliness of the unit upon arrival, and there were a few bugs, but being in the mountains, that is to be expected and didn't deter from our stay. The property owner responded quickly to communications and was attentive to our needs. One thing to note - if you visit during the rainy season (monsoons), the roads in the area can flood following a heavy rain storm, including those to the house from Mora, so use caution.
