The resort, located 200 m from the sea, features a swimming pool, tennis and pétanque courts, and a playground for children. The villas and other buildings are spaced far enough apart to allow for comfortable use of the resort’s outdoor areas. Parking spaces are right next to the entrances to the houses but are not located in the middle of the complex, which is reassuring if children want to ride their little bikes or play outside. Carro is a small fishing village that hasn’t yet been overrun by tourists, but it has several nice restaurants. The harbor is less than a 5-minute walk from the residence. Carro is a 15- to 20-minute drive from Martigues, known as the “Venice of Provence”—a picturesque little town bordered on one side by the sea and on the other by the Étang de Berre, and crisscrossed by canals. Marseille isn’t far away either.
