Condo, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps a maximum of 8)

Considered by many as the “best located” condo in the Chateaux condominium complex. The unit a 4 bedroom unit that sits on top floor of the building with unobstructed views of the Crested Butte mountain resort. It is tastefully decorated and has every amenity to make your vacation enjoyable and fun.
This spacious condominium has been completely renovated with personal touches throughout. You will also have access to a common washer and dryer. This four bedroom unit has two queen beds with their own bathrooms allowing for a comfortable time away from home. The third bedroom or (kids room) has a sitting area with large leather chair, Smart TV with surround audio and controls. The large bunk bed, with a full size mattress on bottom and twin on top. The third bathroom is between the third and fourth bedroom. The forth bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser and large closet. This would be great for two families or group of friends that want to vacation together and save! The condo offers two smart TVs and DVD players. As an added bonus we offer all guests FREE in-condo wireless internet and cable.
This top corner Chateaux unit offers amazing views of Mt. Crested Butte and its slopes. This is a third floor unit with a walk out balcony that overlooks Gothic Rd and the resort. The building is located directly across from the pool, sauna and hot tub. It is conveniently situated across the street from the slopes, its 5-10 min walk to the lifts or enjoy a free bus that stops just steps from the building’s front door. The bus called the “Mountain Express” can take you and your party from the slopes or down into the charming town of Crested Butte for fun shopping, fine dining or enjoying a movie. It’s within easy walking distance to several restaurants, shops and the convenience store (liquor/groceries/deli). You will also have 2 non-covered parking spots at the front of the building.
Crested Butte offers World-class skiing in the winter and spring. Right across the street from the condo is the ski area that has shops and restaurants along with The Trailhead Children's Discovery Museum where you can take a break from skiing and sights and activities around the base of the mountain. Crested Butte in the summer and fall is also amazing with lots to see and do. Enjoy visiting during the famous Wildflower or Arts and Crafts festival. Or enjoy the wonderful town park, a mile up the road, for youngsters to swing, slide, and dig while parents play a little tennis on the community courts. Multiple artists perform at the park in the wonderful town of Crested Butte in the spring and summer for FREE, just bring a picnic and a blanket! At this quaint little park, there’s a covered picnic area to eat or to sit back and soak in the stunning views of Snodgrass and Elk Mountains.
In addition to all the activities in, and around Crested Butte, one of our favorite things are the number of very good to excellent restaurants!
Some of my favorite restaurants in Crested Butte are Secret Stash Pizza (dining in or delivery), Paradise Café for breakfast or lunch, Teocalli Tamale or Mikey’s for something fast, Elk Ave Prime for a great steak, Ryce for Asian food, This doesn’t begin mention the fun nightlife to be had!! All you have to do is stroll down Elk and take your pick!
The location of the condo is a given for snow skiing in the winter, but don’t forget about the fantastic trails up that same mountain on your mountain bike in the summer! The Chateaux offers ski and bicycle storage too.

Crested Butte is one of the last true, unspoiled frontier towns in the west, really truly amazing! The views can’t be beat and the local hospitality is generous and friendly. It may be the last of its kind . It’s a charming town that will inspire you with its natural beauty.

Great location. Walking distance to base of ski resort. Free shuttle is 50 feet from front door. Hot tub and heated pool were a nice bonus. Would definitely stay again.

Nice stay, right across from the slopes

This was just what we needed for our family of 7. Nice place to stay, wonderful view, and plenty of space for all. Great amenities, both in the apartment and outside. Loved the hot tub and pool--great to have access to after a long day of skiing!

Excellent location and comfortable setup

We had a great experience. The host was very responsive to any questions or requests we had. The only thing I would note is that there is no door from the room with the bunk beds which can get a little tricky with younger kids' bedtime.

Great location

We loved the location and the pool! This is a big place and we had a lot of room for 4 adults, 3 kids and a baby BUT the bunk room is not a private room. If we had known that, we would have brought sleeping mats for other rooms. Since it’s open to the rest of the house, it didn’t work for kids to be there or the adults couldn’t stay up. So one couple had to give up privacy and hope of sleeping in and sleep there instead. Heads up you’ll need to bring a sponge, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, etc. Think about what you would bring camping. However there were other dishes and cooking things, including a crockpot!

Great location, 4 bedrooms

It is hard to find a 4 bedroom unit at a reasonable price. We had 2 couples and 2 singles so 4 bedrooms, 3 baths was perfect. The room with the bunks does not have a door but worked for us. Nice sunny unit facing the mountain with beautiful views. The microwave was not working. A property manager stopped by promptly but couldn't fix it. He did however reset the hot tub so it warmed up. Walkable to mountain or easy bus trip. Kitchen is well stocked - oddly lacking a can opener. We cooked 4 meals. Our group would stay here again.

Great view, location and room.

Very clean. Well stocked with kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc... Comfortable seating for 6 people. Comfortable beds. The balcony was terrific in the morning. We would stay here again.

Great Location and Comfy Accommodation

We had a group of 7 stay here and it was great. The condo was comfortable, with good sized bedrooms and a great balcony overlooking the mountain. The common pool and hot tub were a plus, and the convenience to the bus was perfect. Would absolutely stay again when we come back to Crested Butte.

Condo was clean, well stocked and had plenty of room for my whole family. The building is an older building so lighting in the bedrooms was a little dim. Lots of snow while we were there so the shuttle to the slopes would not run to the chateaux, so the walk to and from the slopes was a little rough. Having 3 bathrooms was great, plenty of beds for everyone and plenty of sitting room at the dining room table for everyone to eat together.

Quiet, central in Mt Crested Butte, about 10 minute drive to town of Crested Butte. No elevator, so be prepared to haul bags to third floor at altitude! Coin washer/dryer on second floor, not in unit. Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen.

Perfect location

Booked Chris' unit for a mountain biking trip. Great home base location for daily excursions. Access to the property was a breeze, and Chris was very responsive with any questions we had.

Would choose again

The unit is very up to date, outfitted, and well located. Chris was outstanding, easy to contact, and helpful. The property is on the older side but once you're inside the unit, that is a non-factor. There's good proximity to the communal hot tub. The shuttle systems work well. It's an easy walk (downhill) to the base, especially if you've stored your gear at the base and not carrying it. Coming back...take the shuttle, which is very efficient. The only complaint (which applies to many condos I've stayed in) is the lack of an elevator. The two flight walkup inside the building at altitude is an effort, especially with luggage or gear. Overall I would definitely recommend, and stay again.

Great location, walk or short bus ride to base of Mtn.

Incredible views of Crested Butte Mtn. Some people walked the short way to/from mtn., while others took a quick bus ride that comes every 15 min to the condo. Condo was well stocked with kitchen items & toiletries. We felt very comfortable and had an amazing Spring Break while staying here. The only complaint is that the WiFi was rather slow. Called Chris, who called the Mgmnt company. Chris responds very quickly and we would rent from him again, if we went back to Crested Butte.
