The Neighborhood:
The road to the cabin is STEEP and one lane.
Keep in mind these are winding mountain roads. Many of the best attractions are spread out. You will spend a lot of time in the car. The park is gorgeous but timely to navigate for first time flat-landers. There is no Cell Service once you're in the park so be prepared with maps or screen shots. There are no cabins inside the park other than the ones you may pass on certain hikes that are 100 years old and not inhabitable. It's a national park since 1934.

PIGEON FORGE: 8 Miles 15 minutes.

It is closed to cars and open to runners and cyclists Wednesday and Saturday mornings until 10:00am Early May to Late September. Gorgeous views, wildlife, and a pretty good chance you'll see a bear.
CLINGMAN'S DOME: 34 Miles. This will take 3-4 hours round trip. There are plenty of amazing hikes at Newfound Gap on the way up such as Andrews Bald and "The Jump Off" and more hikes in the Clingman's Dome area. Those less adventurous should at the very least check out the observation tower at Clingman's dome.

Getting Around:
If you want to stay on the flat lands this cabin is not for you. Our cabin is at the top of a mountain off of a historic one lane logging road. Your car will not have any trouble getting up and down, we just like to make things perfectly clear. If you want the view you have to drive up! It's paved but there are pot holes. You will need 4 wheel drive if it snows. No refunds are given for weather so please check the forecast before you travel. 4x4 and Groceries if you're lucky enough to get snow.
We do NOT like 4 star reviews that says “the road was steep” or "there are potholes" as we have mentioned the road multiple times. If you don’t want to go UP do not book this cabin. If you are adventurous you will love it!
We are in a small neighborhood of cabins on a paved road. You will have privacy when you're at this beautiful cabin.
Other Things to Note:
**NOTE: The road is STEEP! We're NOT KIDDING! Some people don't seem believe us. Trust us, we’ve been to the cabin before ;) It IS steep and there are pot holes. This is a logging road that is not maintained by the county so we are on our own to pay for repairs which are very costly. This cabin is not for the less adventurous type. To us, it's part of the experience. You want to come to the mountains don't you?? If you want to be near shopping and flat roads this is not for you. If you want to be near the park with a breathtaking view and hiking near by... look no further! Please. We do not want to hear about the road. It’s a mountain. There are potholes. Be aware of what you’re purchasing. Thank you!!
The fireplace is shut down April 1 to October 1 as with every cabin in the area.
The cabin is in the woods. You will likely see and hear critters. The roof is metal. There is no attic. If a squirrel crawls on the roof you will hear it. If it’s raining you will hear it. If you see a bear during your stay whether in the park or in the driveway do not feed it. Stay away from it. They are dangerous. Bears are RARE!
The hot tub is for guests 21 and over only. Alcohol is not allowed near the hot tub. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or you are pregnant. Use the hot tub AT YOUR OWN RISK!
We do not offer late check out or early check in.
Soaps, shampoos, toiletries, condiments, zip locks, charcoal and coffee are NOT provided
Please message us before booking more than 4 people!
Pets are NOT allowed. If you sneak in a pet of any kind you will be charged an additional $175 and you will likely be asked to leave.
Absolutely no fires! Unauthorized fires (including candles) will be charged $100 plus damages
