Welcome to Jumper & Jackhorn, an AvantStay two-home Buyout!

With Snow Summit ski resort only a stroll away, this serene cabin nestled amongst fragrant pines offers a dreamlike setting for your idyllic escape to Big Bear. The interior is open space living at its finest, with soaring high ceilings, stone wall accents, and generous windows that frame the perfect view of snow falling outside. As the sun rises, head to the veranda and breathe in the crisp mountain air with your cup of freshly brewed coffee, then continue the festivities outdoors with an apres-ski BBQ feast or stargazing from the steamy hot tub. The cozy living area provides a haven after a day on the slopes with plush sofas and a fireplace to settle in for a movie or game night with your crew!

Jumper (Cabin 1/A) has a full outdoor dining set in addition to some patio furniture just off the deck and a bbq and spa. Jackhorn (Cabin 2/B) has a smaller deck with two chairs and the BBQ on the deck, and the hot tub just off of it.

Nearby Activities: Snow Summit Ski Resort, Big Bear Alpine Zoo, Oakside Restaurant, Teddy Bear Restaurant, Big Bear Lake.

Home Truths:
- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Please note that we do not provide firewood, so you will want to bring your own.
- This home does not have AC.
- This home can accommodate 16 people but a maximum of 14 adults.
- Please note, all persons (including infants, children and visitors) at the home are counted towards the total occupancy of the home. Guests cannot exceed the permitted occupancy at any time.
- Use of outdoor spas and other outdoor activities are prohibited from 10pm - 7am.
- No amplified sound is permitted outside at any time.
​​​​​​​- Indoor sound cannot be loud enough to be audible at the property line.
​​​​​​​- Guests are responsible for disposing trash at local dumpsite in accordance with City of Big Bear policy. Charges may apply if left on property
- Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.
- AvantStay plows and clears the driveway and one pathway to the front door. We provide shovels for guests to use should they wish to clear paths on any other part of the property.

Each unit has parking for up to 3 vehicles in the driveway.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

You will be asked to sign a Big Bear Good Neighbor Policy prior to your stay.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.

We have good experience with these house, kids love and enjoy their stay but just scare of spider, I recommend to the big group of family for this vacasion cabin at Big Bear

Nice Place

We rented both cabins and had a solid stay. The cabins are located right at the base of the ski hill so excellent access in the winter and great city access in the summer. But places have all the amenities for cooking your own meals and staying with friends. The place is managed by a 3rd party so you get requests for contracts outside of VRBO, lots of pre-trip emails, etc. If we had any issues they were quick to reply. Thanks! Marc

Perfect for large groups

The two cabins were perfect for our large group of 14 people - 3 couples and 8 single people (one person slept on the couch). The cabins are clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed having two separate cabins - one as the main hub for hanging out late and the other for people go to bed early. We were all able to eat meals together in a single cabin. At one point we needed more blankets and Scott was quick to drop off even more than we needed. I’d love to book these cabins again.

Will rent again!

Location is basically walking distance to snow summit! 5-10 min drive to stores/groceries /restaurants. Parking was easy. Renter was easy to contact. Cabins were clean, well stocked with dishes and there was fresh ice was in the freezer. Tv easy to use. Fire place easy to use. High chair and pack n play were clean. Hot tubs, grills, foosball, games, guitar, couches and rooms were all clean comfortable and up to date. Felt safe, lots of space and easy to check out. Didn’t have to strip beds and wash sheets only start the dishwasher and take out trash. Where you take your trash was a short drive. My family and I loved the spot so much we talked about how we definitely need to come back!

Great Family getaway!

I was a bit nervous to book for 4 families totaling 13 people and a pet. Since I read previous reviews about noise complaints! We had no issues eventhough we were loud. We did follow the rules. Enough rooms for every families. We enjoyed having separate houses going back and fourth was no issue for us. Our only issues was housekeeping not cleaning a pullout bed that had stains! I reported it and haven't received a call back. Other than that it was a vacation we'll worth it. Everything was close enough. Our family and kiddos had a great, fun and relaxing time. Thank you!

Great stay overall. Clean and lovely with lots of close activities to do.

Would have been perfect if not for the dramatic neighborhood who called/texted for a noise complaint 2 times in less than 10 minutes just for us talking at a normal volume as we were literally moving from one cabin to the other (15ish feet away) to prepare for sleep on our first night there. We weren't even outside the second time. Property management communication was 11/10 though
