Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location was great, 10 mins down the freeway from Flag in Katchina Village. Loved the big front porch. Set up was great. Plenty of parking. Chris was very responsive. Very quiet community. House needs some TLC and the kitchen should have been cleaner. We were there for a month and I would say it's set up for more short term stays. There was no dresser in either bedroom downstairs and 1 bedside table which I used for a tiny dresser. Kitchen pots and pans were limited with only one pot having a lid. Rustic is good but the interior could use a little polish.

Nice cabin in the pines.

We were very happy with our stay. House is well equipped and well maintained. Quick drive to town. Our dog was especially pleased. Nice fenced in backyard for him to play in. Two excellent places for dog walking (Pump House Wash and Kachina Wetlands) are just a couple of minute drive away.

Clean cabin, adorable Christmas decor, quite neighborhood. I would recommend for small families. Check in and out is super easy, no fuss with the locking door system and code. Also provided sufficient amenities. Large fluffy blankets, Clean towels , shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and tons of cooking seasonings. The location is awesome if you plan on going to Arizona Snowbowl, Sedona, or DT Flagstaff. Everything is reasonably close.

Whispers from the Pines: Chris & Heather’s Homestead Tale

Greetings, traveler. In the heart of Arizona’s woods, Chris and Heather’s paths converged, much like two roads in a yellow wood. With a bustling blend of five young souls and three spirited dogs, their home is seldom quiet, yet always warm.

By day, Chris navigates the intricate mazes of healthcare, a beacon for those in need, while Heather, with a heart vast and boundless, reaches out to communities, sowing seeds of hope in the non-profit realm.

Yet when dusk paints the sky, their spirits roam free. The pair, much like wanderers in nature's vast poem, tread on paths less traveled by. Be it the ancient tales whispered by European stones or the Rockies' grandeur, they listen, they learn. And with every step in the wilderness, they find solace, often in the company of their young ones and four-legged companions.

Not just wanderers, they're seekers of life's finer joys: a plate telling tales of distant lands, wine echoing ancient traditions, and the mirth of discovering a local eatery's secret.

The Peaceful Ponderosa Cabin is a reflection of their love, dreams, and adventures. It’s not just wood and stone, but memories and moments, woven with care. They've carved a niche in the woods, where nature's song and home comforts dance in harmony.

Now, as the evening draws near and the pines whisper tales of yore, Chris and Heather extend a hand, inviting you to be a stanza in their ongoing poem. To find, amidst the trees, a story of your own. Welcome, dear traveler, to their haven in the woods.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

In the gentle embrace of Arizona's woods, we found our sanctuary. The neighborhood, with its winding trails and whispering pines, beckoned us like an old friend, inviting us to settle amidst its timeless tales. As if nature itself had etched out a space, waiting for souls like ours to discover and cherish.

Morning here greets with a symphony of birds, while evenings unveil a tapestry of stars, each twinkling with its own secret. The streets, lined with mature trees, cast dappled shadows, playing with light and shade in an ever-changing dance. It’s this tranquility, the subtle interplay of nature’s elements, that first ensnared our hearts.

Yet, it’s not just the serene backdrop that won us over. The community, with its warm smiles and knowing nods, speaks of an understanding deeper than words. Neighbors are not mere acquaintances; they become custodians of shared memories, of barbecues under the open sky, of spontaneous gatherings on dew-kissed lawns, and of tales told around roaring fire pits.

But perhaps, what we cherish most is the balance this neighborhood strikes. While it cradles us in nature's lap, it never feels isolated. The rhythm of life pulses vibrantly, with children's laughter echoing in the distance and dogs playfully chasing the winds. Trails beckon for quiet contemplation, yet bustling markets and cafes lie just a stone's throw away, offering both convenience and charm.

In this harmonious blend of solitude and community, of wild woods and human touch, we've found our anchor. A place where every corner resonates with a story, every breeze carries a memory. It's here that we've learned the true essence of home – not just a dwelling, but a feeling, deep and profound. This neighborhood, with its silent woods and spirited folk, is where our hearts truly reside.
