The kitchen was really small and because of the lack of storage space it was not stocked very well. There is no dishwasher, so you have to wash dishes by hand. The dish drying rack was a rusted metal rack that didn't hold many dishes and if you didn't stack them right, the dishes came crashing down. The microwave's display didn't work so you couldn't tell how much time was left to cook. The shower was about 3'x3'. If you are taller than 5'6", you'll probably have to duck to get your head under the shower head. There is no vent in the bathroom. The futon couch is very uncomfortable, but that is the only place to sit if you want to watch television. The house was clean, but it had a stale odor to it. I burned the provided candles the first week that we were there to try to mask the smell. The owners were nice, but you're living in their backyard, so there's a lack of privacy. You have to open and close a large heavy gate to get your car to the back of the property. There is no view from the rental house. The Indian River is across the street and that has a nice view. There is a pier that goes out over the river and there are some chairs to sit on at the end of the pier. There is also a 10-20 foot area where the handrail is broken on the pier, so you have to walk past that. The town of Fort Pierce was really nice and has a good variety of restaurants. The harbor area is a nice area to walk around. The beaches were clean and most had showers/restrooms.
