Absolute NIGHTMARE

I wish I could give zero stars. I booked this for one of the busiest weekends of the year in St. Simons. We got to the house at 11pm. We had not received check in instructions but I thought there would be something at the house. We couldn't get into the house because it was a scam! After spending the money on the house we all had to go find hotels. DO NOT BOOK! The host wouldn't respond and my friends and I were stranded.

No stay

This was by far the worst experience and very inconvenient. The host did not provide the check in information and could not be reached. I reached out to Vrbo the morning of my stay to inform them I could not get in touch with the host. After checking the reviews I see the past two reviews were in reference to not getting check in information. THIS HOST NEEDS TO BE REMOVED!!!!!

Left us stranded

My friends mother passed away and we were coming into town to attend her mothers funeral after driving 14 hours the host never sent check in information we were calling VRbo back and forth and missed her mothers funeral we had a car full of kids and were left stranded check in was at 4pm VRbo didn’t find us a hotel until after 1am THIS WAS A DISASTER DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM ! the number on file for host is also disconnected!

Needs Work

Walls need painted. House is roomy and has some recent updates but needs work especially on doors. Tubs were clean. Slow water pressure. Plenty of hot water for our family. Neighborhood is not good. It's 26 minutes to Jekyll Island and maybe 7 minutes to Target and restaurants. Fire ants got in the kitchen. They entered in from the ceiling. There was an empty can of bug spray in the cabinets so we sprayed Windex to kill them. We had to put all of the snack food in the refrigerator so the ants wouldn't get in it. A good interior painting, a few maintenance repairs, and it would be acceptable. I think an alarm system would be nice. They did provide cable and that was nice. My youngest grandchildren liked the outdoor space. Towels were fluffy and new. The queen size beds were comfortable.

Night mare

When we arrived the guest bathroom door was leaning towards the closet across the hal and had it knocked off hinge. The kids room had no sheets on the beds, they were in the closet floor in a pile. No dishes in the cabinet they were in the dishwasher and still dirty. The washer was dirty and the laundry room sink was full of sand. The house was nice just dirty. There were roach bugs in the kitchen and left over food in the fridge. The stove was dirty. I spent most of the time cleaning.
