Welcome to Candy Beach House!

This new construction home in Broadkill Beach is ready for your vacation stay! This large open floor plan home with a private elevator has plenty of room for you to spread out. The great room has a seating space with a large TV for movie watching. This area is adjacent to the dining space and large kitchen with a great island for food prep or hanging around for conversation. One level of bedrooms with a master en-suite bathroom as well as two bedrooms that share a hall bathroom. The top floor has the master suite with large bathroom. Several decks are available for outside seating. The rear of the house has incredible views - great for catching the sunsets!

All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package.

One dog allowed with a non-refundable pet fee and signed addendum. Owner may make an exception for more than one dog, ask your agent for details.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO.

The property must be occupied for the entire rental period by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement (Responsible Guest), and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Responsible Guest. The Responsible Guest must be at least 25 years of age. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental where the Responsible Guest is NOT the legal guardian/parent of any other guests), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and eChecks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.

VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as Owner on VRBO. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked you will be contacted by the management company and sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed. Apart from Damage Protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking.

Bay stay in Broadkill

The house was nice in a quiet neighborhood. The elevator was wonderful. It is a long walk to access the bay beach from the house. The biting flies were awful.

Relaxing New Years Weekend

This house served as a private and relaxing getaway for a small group of friends during NYE weekend. The rooms were all as described and the bathrooms were laid out well! The kitchen and dining/living room on the top floor took a little getting used to, but we acclimated quickly and had a great weekend cooking and hanging out. The local neighborhood served as a great area for runs and walks and we were happy the house was pet friendly!

Quiet Beach Escape

Pros - plenty of parking, quiet neighborhood, private, easy access to beach, four awesome decks, comfortable beds, great showers Cons - Cowboy Cauldron (grill) was filled with trash and partially burnt wood), found an opened soft drink can on window sill behind great room couch and pieces of seashell under couch pillow, no steamer pot (odd for a beach house), grandkids found numerous deck screws and bits of construction debris while playing in sand near chaise lounges behind house

If you're looking for quiet with easy beach access and fantastic views, this is a great spot! The house is clean and we'll appointed. Only two minor suggestions--wine glasses and clarity that the room with twins is really a twin and a stowaway bed (but it was comfortable)! Highly recommend!

Cannot say enough!!!

There just isn’t enough space to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental. First, Berkshire Hathaway has it down! I don’t want to deal with any other property managers after them! The house is absolutely amazingly. Incredibly clean & well cared for; the attention to detail is amazing. I could have picked out everything myself & it would probably look the same. Love being able to see sunrise & sunset from the many decks. Love the screened in porch, fire pit and the elevator. We had a wonderful stay that just made our whole trip all that much better! Thanks so much!❤️

Great, well-appointed property with easy access and views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the property for five nights in June. It was very well furnished, spacious, and accessible. The elevator was useful for older family members, and the entire property had many conveniences. The multiple porches were handy for sitting to enjoy the sunrises or sunsets, meals, conversation, or the views of the water. We found the place quite comfortable for our group of 8. We loved the easy access to the beach for walks. The flies were wicked if the wind was not blowing off the bay/ocean, and that would be a reason I would not return in the future. I sent the rental agent some notes on the morning of our departure regarding some slight maintenance fixes, but those don't need to be listed in this review. My final note is more about cleanliness when hosting a dog. This was our first time renting a dog-friendly house, so maybe this goes with the territory, but there were some areas that could use a little attention, I would assume. There was fur embedded in the mattress pad on the queen bedroom in NW corner of house, maybe that could use attention and laundering. And lastly on this note, a number of dishes and pots in kitchen had dog hair on them, so perhaps the lower cabinets could use some vacuuming or cleaning.

Another Spectacular Beach Vacation

Reviewer Comments: For the ninth consecutive year, our family vacationed on the Delaware Shore -- and the third time at the very comfortable home on Pintail Lane. The property was perfectly prepared for our arrival, and we had ample space for our two daughters and their wonderful dogs and for us. We especially enjoyed meals on the porch facing the ocean and lounging in the afternoon and evening on the porch overlooking the wildlife preserve. We plan to reserve the same property for our 2025 beach vacation.

Family Time at BXB

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the third year we stayed at BXB for a week. The first year we stayed at a different home and the last two here. This home is very nice with only a few exceptions: the outdoor firepit/"grill" (cowboy cauldron) is pretty worthless. This year when we arrived, there was garbage and about 6" of water in it. I think a normal gas or charcoal grill would be a nice change. Secondly, the handle of the freezer drawer comes off easily if you aren't careful opening it....same as last year. You can fix it, but it's a pita. Lastly, the skeeters were unbearable most of the week. That's not the owner's fault, but worth mentioning for anyone coming to BXB the first time. DE sprayed for them and that seemed to help. There were very few the day we left. Not sure we will be returning.

Reviewer Comments: Spent the week in Broadkill - have been coming to Broadkill for last 6 years. Really love the area. This house was very conveniently located near beach access and was just the right amount of space for us! The upper screened in deck was great to sit at during the day or at night. Did have some beach chairs and a beach wagon that came with house. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were more comfortable then normal rentals for us. Will sound odd but ceiling fans were AMAZING! Would go back to same house if our schedules allow next year.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family (from ages 9 to 72, plus two dogs) had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. Rooms are impeccable, like hotel rooms, beautifully decorated. Sunset views from the back deck and views of the Bay from front screened in porch. Nice short walk to the beach. Reasonably priced as well. The house sways a bit in windy weather which apparently is how all new construction is here.
