Lodge was smaller than expected. Not much space for 4 people. Communication with host was good, but lodging was outdated and needs to be renovated. Price was too expensive for what was given. Bathroom needs major upgrades and better cleaning. Gave us a space to sleep in nevertheless.

Thank you for your feedback and for noting that communication was good during your stay. We’re sorry the lodge did not meet your expectations in terms of size, condition, and cleanliness. The cabin is a two-bedroom, one-bath rental with lake views, and its layout, amenities, and photos are included in the listing. We understand that each guest’s needs and expectations can differ, especially when traveling with a group of four. During smoky August conditions, guests may also spend more time indoors, which can make the space feel closer than it otherwise would. Our rates are priced below many comparable two-bedroom, one-bath cabin rentals in Lakeside, particularly those with lake views. We strive to offer an accessible lodging option while still providing a comfortable place to stay. We also take comments about the bathroom and cleaning seriously. We’re fortunate to have a dedicated cleaning team that takes great care of the property, and we will follow up with them to review the concerns raised and ensure the cabin continues to meet our standards for every guest. We appreciate you staying with us and sharing your experience.

This was a true "cabin" feel. Clean, comfortable seating with Reclining sofas. Small but cozy We had 4 adults. Only small downside is bunk beds in 2nd bedroom but our guests said they were comfortable. The weather was rainy, chilly so we did not get to enjoy the nice large deck which had a nice view of the water. Had an issue, very briefly, with TV internet but host Lauren was quickly on ot and had it fixed within 30 minutes. Overall, great stay and cozy.

Nice quiet little cabin

Nice little cabin, with a view of the lake. It was perfect for us to stay in Lakeside. We slept with the windows open and was always very quiet in that neighborhood. Cabin could use some maintenance but it was great for us.

Home Away from Home

This cabin was the perfect retreat for our family at the end of a long road trip. We had 5 nights at the lake and from the moment we stepped in the door everything was better than advertised. The cabin was clean and cozy. The beds were super comfortable. And the location was perfect! It was also PERFECT for viewing fireworks on the 4th. I cannot say enough great things about this cabin.

Comfortable, Relaxing, Quiet, Getaway

What a cool cabin. It is very comfortable, quiet location, within walking distance of town, with a small view of the lake. The furniture is comfortable, as is the bed. We didn't use the BBQ, as it is in bad shape and should be replaced. But, we had a great time just sitting on the deck, drinking a few beers and eating dinner. Would definitely stay here again, if coming this way. Thank you.

Cabin living in quaint town

This place is the real deal. It is a true cabin feel inside and out. We were able to enjoy the deck for a short time one afternoon but it got chilly and rainy. The interior wood burning stove was a perfect welcome for a chilly evening and easy to use. Nice cabin touches inside. Very roomy living area and bedrooms. The town of Lakeside was also a pleasant surprise. Great places to pick up morning coffee and a sweet or join the crowd for some good food at the local restaurants. Loved this place and would stay again.

Look before you rent!

This property was a major disappointment. The pictures online were nothing like this place actually looked like. The inside had dirty stained furniture and rugs. The "pantry" had leftover food items from 2020. The sheets on the master bedroom bed had such odor that I had to wash them! The deck is a liability- the chairs legs fell through the large gaps between the deck boards when we sat down. This place needs major repair !

Hi Nadia, What a disappointing message. We were in contact throughout your entire visit. Not once did you ever reach out about your disappointing experience. Our cleaning crew does clean every item and sheets. If they weren’t up to par I would have happily worked with you to make your visit as comfortable as possible. I apologize that our cabin wasn’t up to your expectations. We are located in a mountain town with mountain weather. Our deck paint might not be new but we take deep pride in a place that we take great care of and enjoy with our family.
