Enjoy your stay in our beautifully renovated, three story home located in the Centro Storico and walking distance to all amenities. The first floor includes two twin bunk beds (sleeps 4), a tall wardrobe for clothing and an ensuite full bathroom with bath/shower, toilet and sink. The second floor includes the master bedroom with queen bed (sleeps 2), a tall wardrobe for clothing and a full ensuite bathroom featuring shower, toilet, sink, bidet and clothes washing machine. The third floor includes a kitchen, gas stove top, electric oven, table, chairs, couch, serving side board and refrigerator. Soak in the sun, relax and enjoy magnificent sea, mountain and town views from the roof top terrace which includes table and chairs for outdoor dining. Vivi e goditi la vita!

Hello! We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do. We accidentally discovered Scalea during our Italy travels and quickly fell in love with this quaint fishing village. Scalea offers a wonderful year round climate (T-shirts in December), a calm warm sea, fresh fish and vegetables and unbelievably inexpensive, locally sourced wine. We enjoy exploring the over 600 year old alley ways, swimming every day and strolling to the bars, cafes and restaurants. Vista Mare is in the perfect location allowing you to stroll (400 meters) to the beach, shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. If you don't want to bother renting a car, you won't need to. There are plenty of trains arriving from Rome and/or Naples. Rail travel offers an efficient way to see Italy without the stress of driving. Once you have relaxed and are ready for a little adventure, there are a lot of sites to be seen. Pompeii is a 2 hour drive from Vista Mare and a fun day trip (you can also get to Pompeii via train). Proximity to all amenities, including grocery stores, general shopping, beach, lidos, bars, cafes, restaurants and churches. Scalea is a quaint beachside town in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy. Scalea is approx. 2.5 hours from Naples via the fast train and approximately 5 hours via fast train from Rome. The town derives its name from its hillside terraced lay-out and is located at the bottom of the Capo Scalea promontory. With a population of 11,000 people (off season), Scalea offers true relaxation with excellent year round climate (t-shirts and shorts in December). Enjoy swimming in the warm Tyrrhenian Sea followed by eating the freshest produce served by local restaurants. The local wine is outstanding (and so incredibly inexpensive). When you're ready to adventure out, sights include Spiaggia dell'Arcomagno, Island Dino, Torre Talao, the Castello Normano, the Chiesa Santa Maria d'Episcopio, the Grotta del Leone, the Grotta Azzurra, Cave of the Sheep and, for super adventurous types, try the LaoRaft Scalea (for white water rafting). Pompeii is a 2 hour drive and a fun day trip.
