Gorgeous sunsets, private dock, beach just across the street and plenty of room for everyone!!! Nature lovers, fishing folks and sunset fans will love this Broadkill Beach retreat! Awesome views abound - front deck has bay views, rear deck features plenty of seating for those amazing sunsets over the wildlife refuge. Sunset deck in rear yard leads to a dock behind the house for kayakers, fishing and crabbing, or just sitting watching the creek go by with a good book. Beach access and bay just across the street for the best of both worlds. Upper level loft provides another living space to enjoy some quiet time -- complete with sofa, powder room, bedroom with queen bed, and adjacent kid's room with lego table. Great outdoor shower. Just minutes to quaint Milton with supermarket and dining, and Lewes/Rehoboth Beach with its fine dining, boardwalk and outlet shopping. House sleeps 8, but up to 10 guests allowed for extra fee. Bring your dogs up to 75 lbs with pet fee. Sheets and towels not provided - please bring your own along with your food/play items!

We are returning renters and we can’t say enough good things about this place. It is great for kids walk to the beach and we could have a dog. The views from the back porch for morning coffee and evening sunset is just so relaxing. The house is spacious and held all of our multigenerational families.

Wonderful Broadkill House

We've stayed in Broadkill 3 times, and this was by far our favorite place. Clean and well taken care of, plenty of sleeping space, beautiful view, close to the beach and great books on the shelf! Renter was also very communicative and helpful.

The property was wonderful and the views were amazing! It was able to accommodate my 6 family members with plenty of space and the kitchen was fully stocked. We will definitely stay here again next year.

Beach vacation must

We loved staying here! The sunset from the back patio is legitimately second to none. House is in a great location with access to Broadkill Beach and Prime Hook. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Property and Location!

The house was excellent and the beach was private and beautiful. We had one minor issue with the AC but Laurie was very quick to help us fix it. I would recommend this house and location to anyone looking for a beach getaway!

Vacation

This vacation house is in a great location—there’s a waterway in the back and the beach is just across the street. The house is very spacious and comfortably accommodated our group. While the property could use some updates, particularly with the windows (many didn’t stay open and some screens had holes), it didn’t take away from our overall experience. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely rent again.

Just like the pictures!

Everything was perfect! We loved being directly across from the beach and having the nature preserve in the back. The dock made it super easy for kayaking. The location is perfect for a little seclusion, with a short drive to Lewes, Rehoboth, and Milton. We will definitely be visiting again!

Beautiful views, beautiful stay!

We have been visiting Broadkill Beach every summer for over 10 years. This was our first time staying on the bay side. We were nervous about the walk with kiddos (ages 4, 6, 8, and 9) but it was exactly 200 steps to the beach, super doable for all ages. The location was near a row of rocks that "trapped" some wildlife at low tide and the kids had a blast exploring. The bay gave us gorgeous views and evening sun on the porch. Watching the occasional storm come over the bay was just as relaxing as the ocean side. House was exactly as pictured, clean, and the owner was super responsive when we had questions. We will absolutely be back!

Great house at Broadkill

We have stayed here before and like the house. The bathrooms and kitchen could use some updating, but it is a great place to spend time with friends and family. Laurie is a great host and great at communicating. She always makes herself available to answer questions.

great getaway

Our first time visiting Broadkill beach. The house was lovely, well kept and well stocked. Amazing views of the wildlife refuge and sunsets. The house is spacious and we enjoyed the open kitchen and large table for meals and games. We hope to return in warmer weather and take advantage of all the outdoor spaces.

As soon as we arrived, you can feel the tranquility and comfort. The house is beautiful not only on the outside but also inside. Very cozy and spacious. Excellent for a nice getaway with the family for the weekend or the week. I recommend this house with a 5 star rating.

Excellent rental

This home is exactly as listed. It is clean, well laid out, nicely decorated, and is in a great location. We loved that it was right across the street from the beach. It also has gorgeous views off of the back porch overlooking the nature preserve. The sunsets are amazing and it is great for relaxing and bird watching. The owner was also an excellent host. We hope to stay here again in the future.

A Phila native, I discovered Broadkill Beach in 1995 and made it my permanent residence in 1998. I enjoy providing a space where guests can unwind and spend quality time with nature and each other.

Nature abounds here -- Beach just across the street -- stunning sunsets, and certainly bring your binoculars for great birding or just nature viewing of the 10,000 acre Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge right behind the house. Bring your kayak or canoe the house's private dock and take a paddle in Deep Hole Creek which leads to the Broadkill River. Or enjoy the beach with convenient beach access just across the street.

Awesome sunset views and dock in rear of the house so bring your kayaks, fishing poles, crab traps and beach toys! Great panoramic views of Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge from the rear deck, or views of the Delaware Bay just across the street. Nature lovers will be in heaven!
