This property is a Myrtle Beach landmark and features an expansive pool deck with indoor and outdoor pools. On-site you will find the Ground Floor Cafe, proudly serving Starbucks and sweet treats. Indigo Coastal Kitchen on the second floor is open for breakfast and dinner. Hours vary by season. During our warmest months, we open our pool bar during our warmest months and schedule live entertainment on the pool deck.

Free Attraction Ticket Program - All Oceana Resorts guests are provided with a package of tickets from local partners. The program offers one free ticket from up to three partners per reservation, and additional tickets are available to purchase when the free tickets are redeemed. Details are updated seasonally on our property-specific websites. Children's Activities - This program is available at Carolinian Beach Resort, Patricia Grand, and Bay Watch from mid-June through mid-August. Activities include shark tooth hunts, crafts, pool games, and more!Snowbird Activities - This program is available at Carolinian Beach Resort, Patricia Grand, and Bay Watch each winter from early January through mid-March. These activities build on the snowbird community we have each winter. Activities include card games, crafts, bingo, field trips, Waffle Wednesday meet-n-greets, and more! This property is managed by Vacasa South Carolina LLC.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location

Hotel is in a great location with nice outdoor pool and proximity to beach! View would be beautiful if you weren’t looking at everyone else sitting on their balconies. Hotel room floor was very dirty and curtains had mold on them and the wait for elevators was very long at times when the housekeeping staff was attempting to use them as well as guests.

Great place

My one and only complaint was the staff who checked me in, and the 9 o’clock housekeeping knock when check out is 10 am (which is also a pain) other than that…the room was clean, beds were comfy, no one bothered us, the pools and hot tubs were amazing, the outside sitting area was comfy and well maintained…. All in all i would HIGHLY recommend and i plan on staying again for sure

Nice Room, not late check out?

My family and I did a very spontaneous one-night stay, we had reservations for a week in another Vacasa resort, Bay Watch Resort. Thursday afternoon my husband said let’s go to the beach now…So I called The Patricia Grand made the reservation on the phone and asked that with us checking in so very later around midnight if we could have a late checkout time around noon. The lady told me to ask when we checked in for she did not see a problem with it. We drove for 6 hours and checked in after 12:30 am, the lady at the desk was very sweet till I asked about late check out then her attitude changed she was mean. She told me NO that we will be charged for another stay if we were not out of the room by 9am and they will call to make sure! I told her that when I called and made the reservations at 4pm I was told that with us checking in so late we could check out at noon. She then yelled NO you will be checking out at 9 am! She got up and went to the backroom with an attitude like she was pissed off. We got to the room it is a nice room, view is not so nice when you can see other rooms of people sleeping or partying at 1 am. The rooms are like a corner to each other, witha side view of the ocean. We got to sleep around 2 am and was up at 8 am, Checking out I told the front deck about checking in and the young lady apologized told me the hotel is very busy and there is no late checkouts cause of that. We left, ate breakfast and called The Bay Watch Resort that we are staying at for a week, this is a siter resort to The Patricia Grand, I was told that we could check in and see if the room was ready. When we arrived at check-in it was 12 noon and was greeted so very nice. I told her what had happened at the Patricia Grand and she apologized, she told me our room was not ready at time, but we could enjoy the pool, restaurant or the lounge area till the room was ready and she would call me. We did and within 30 minutes our room was ready!! We did take a good nap!!! Will we stay at The Patricia Grand again …maybe but not in that room we like to have a full ocean front room.

Room 1012 was below par!

Loved? Outdoor pool and hot tubs. Friendly staff around. Air condition work, very good! Parking ok, glad I had my car vs SUV. Dislike? Mold on the ceilings in two places Bathroom faucet, one handle broke (got fixed) NO COLD water in the shower!!! Reported this 3 times, still not fix when they fixed the handle. Safe had code already loaded… wasn’t avail. I told a worker on the 10th floor and was told it isn’t their responsibility. All the dogs! I like dogs but da$&!! COVID-19 BS, you pay a lot of money and have to do everything yourself. Get towels, make beds, sweep floors… I know, they can’t find workers… lower the price and have this as an option. N/A Food, drinks, or gift shop. Did not use them. Would I stay again? If under $200 due to all of the issues and the dogsssss!

Filthy place.

Ocean view is always great. The room and surroundings filthy. Furniture needs replaced. Front desk doesn't speak English. No housekeeping at all.

Nice place but now worth

Great for the price, but requires several improvements.

Overall, this was a great place to stay for a weekend! What was great: We loved the amenities of the hotel! It had everything we needed right on site, so there was very little need to leave unless you wanted to go sightseeing. Then, Broadway at the Beach was just a short 5 minute drive away, as were a ton of restaurants and things to do and see! The beach is literally steps from the hotel, and also wasn’t overly crowded which was a huge plus! The restaurant was great for burgers and sandwiches, and the poolside bar was a nice addition. The lobby Starbucks was nice to have, but it was not a real Starbucks, just a kiosk that served Starbucks coffees and Frappuccino’s, but there is a full service Starbucks location less than a block away. The pools, hot tub and lazy River were clean and not too crowded. All of the staff we encountered at the front desk, the restaurant and pool bar, Starbucks, and pool attendants were wonderful! We were able to get pool towels easily, and check-in/out was fast and easy. Our room was as expected and as pictured. Our partial ocean view had an incredible wide view of the ocean. The beds were comfortable, and the room was well stocked with pillows, towels and toiletries, and it even had brand new paper towels, dish soap and a sponge to use in the kitchenette! What needed improvement: The water pressure in our room was awful, which is not ideal for washing off after a day at the beach and pool. The water temperature was also extremely hot. We thought maybe the hot and cold were reversed, but they were not, so even turned all the way to cold, the water in the shower was near scalding. My children hated bathing there, and this would be the main reason that we may not return. I would rather the water be ice cold, than have it be so hot that it was uncomfortable to bathe in. We also noticed mold on the ceiling, which we guessed was caused by condensation from the cold air blowing from the air conditioner into the ceiling. This could easily be cleaned, but was not. The only other thing was that the bathroom was very small. The door opened against the tub directly in front of the toilet which made it very difficult to have 2 people in the bathroom at the same time, which isn’t ideal for for a family of 4 sharing a room. The only other thing was that our room key/lock was finicky. I had to get one of our keys replaced during our stay because it stopped working. So, if you’re not super picky and like very, very hot showers, then you will love this hotel. If you are a family of 4 sharing the room with small children, you may want to chose a different room due to the bathroom situation. Overall, it was an amazing value at the beach, but could be better with some small improvements.

As advertised

This place was just what it needed to be. It was clean, comfortable and the room had a great view. The staff was friendly and the hotel had all of the amenities I needed (pool, bar/restaurant, pool bar and little store). And, what they didn’t have at the store (beer & iPhone charger) I was able to get right across the street at a little bodega. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Plus, they let me store by bags until check-in time because I arrived 4hrs early.
