This is a unique old building with large shared spaces and private apartments. Currently listed is an upstairs apartment that is secluded and quiet with a private full bathroom. It has a private living room for an intimate game of cards or meal.. (max: about 5 adults)

The shared spaces are on the main level. Each has its own style. There is 1 shared kitchen, with tables and chairs to seat 100+ people.

I loved this unique, historical and adorable place! It’s very much as described. It was quiet, clean, fun and a great use of space in a lovely building full of history. Our hosts were attentive, responsive and friendly and made the stay comfortable and easy. It was so conveniently located close to the freeway. I’m so glad we chose this place and I’d stay there again!

Perfect place for Mt. St. Helens exploring

The apartment was a perfect stop for our Mt. St. Helens trip after exploring the south and on our way to the north side of the monument and then on to Mt. Rainier. Deb was a gracious host who was very responsive and accommodating for our stay.

Lovely hosts and cute spot!

This little spot ended up being so quiet and private. The only reason I marked down location was that a neighbor let her offleash chihuahuas charge us while we were out doing a training walk. Aside from traffic noise, the neighborhood was quiet and calm. The rental was so charming and ended up feeling really private. The host was a really nice person, easy to get in touch with and work with. I hope I get to stay in their VRBO again in the future. Perfect spot for our quick trip.

Great for a weekend trip!

The apartment was very clean and a great size for two people and a dog. The location is very close to the highway, but the bedrooms were quiet. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming!

Misleading website pictures

Pictures on the website showed a downstairs apartment and kitchen/expansive living and dining room which are occupied by the owner. We had a small apartment upstairs with only a microwave and dorm fridge, and the second bedroom was off of the 1st bedroom (more appropriate for a small child than a mother), and had no windows.

Loved the air conditioner that was put in. Nice that it was in town close to the hawaiian festival that I was going to. Nice variety of coffees. Didnt like that you cant see out of any windows. Decor could have been better but for the price, it had comfortable beds and clean. There wasnt a TV. The host was very nice.

Quaint Artsy Apartment

My friends and I stayed one night to celebrate my birthday. The apartment served our needs well. We appreciated the quaint, artsy feel of the place. The host was very pleasant and helpful in her correspondence. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Kalama. It is located within walking distance to downtown and a quick drive to the McMenamins Harbor Lodge Restaurant.

Cute apartment with great location for checking out Mt. St. Helens area. Very friendly host. Plenty of room for our family of five. Kalama has some fun restaurants within walking distance as well.

Deb is GREAT to work with!! The property has so much personality! The apartment was the perfect size and very cozy. GREAT place to stay and we will definitely be stay here again! If you are looking for event space, this one is AMAZING, so many special touches to make your event perfect.

Great stay!

Had a wonderful time with my 2 daughters in law. The apartment was so cute and clean and even had snacks. Walking distance to town and the walkway at the river. Deb and the cats were so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and hope to return and stay again.

My parents and I have owned the building since 2018 and have been renovating it to create an event space since then.

In addition to working on the building, I am a school teacher in town, a yoga teacher and an adventurer! I'd love to tell you about some local fun spots to explore! I am looking forward to sharing this beautiful space with you.
