Spend the day hiking your own wooded trails, wandering down to the river, or simply enjoying the stillness that comes from having no neighbors in sight. In summer, it’s all about sun, fresh air, and long, quiet days. In winter, snowmobiles pass nearby and the cabin becomes a warm, cozy retreat from the cold.

Inside, the cabin feels rustic yet comfortable. Vaulted ceilings open up the living space, where a wood stove invites you to settle in with a book, board games, or a movie from the DVD collection. The kitchen is well stocked for real cooking, making shared meals easy and unhurried. Bedrooms are cozy and dark at night, perfect for deep, restful sleep.

Please note this is a true off-grid, solar-powered cabin experience. There is no WiFi at the property, and cell service may be limited depending on your carrier. Electricity is typically reliable, but guests should be comfortable conserving power as part of the unplugged mountain experience.

Evenings are best spent outside by the fire pit, watching the stars appear overhead and listening to the sounds of the woods. And when you’re ready for a taste of civilization, the town of Canaan—with restaurants, groceries, and even ice cream—is just a short drive away.
