No weekend rental.<br>For more information:<br>Close to the preserved and wooded village of Montbrun-Lauragais, only 17 kms from Toulouse, in the hillsides of Lauragais, a few steps from the Canal du Midi (2.5km), the Gîtes de la Tabernole, on the way to Santiago, combine the fullness and calm of the countryside with the proximity of the towns and main attractions of the region, whether tourist or professional.<br>Surrounded by fields and hiking trails, our house is nestled in a large park/garden of 8000 m², without close neighbors, with a huge salt swimming pool of 90 m² in the shape of an L of 15mx5mx8m, depth of 0.85 to 2 meters, at your disposal without limitation. A barbecue area with tables also welcomes you at will. The park/garden and its fruit trees welcome you in their meandering.<br><br>To get even more:<br>Global warming: Our two cottages are north/south. The walls are 80 cm thick, are not made of concrete but of solid bricks called "fairgrounds", it is a high inertia insulator. As everywhere in the south of France, in summer, you have to close during the day and leave wide open at night. It is the oldest air conditioning system: a through air circulation. Where we are located, there are no problems with the safety of goods and people. The roof on the balcony/terrace protects from direct rays. In addition, the trees and vines planted along the walls serve as natural insulation. If you are careful, you stay in very hot periods in normal temperatures. We are going to add a colonial ceiling fan in the main room, very efficient, and have a column fan in the master bedroom. Finally, the tiger mosquitoes having made their appearance, we are going to install removable mosquito nets in addition to the repellent device (without chemicals) in the cottage. Everything will be ready this summer.<br>An Oasis Nature garden and LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) refuge: This label indicates that most of the garden is maintained taking into account the preservation of biodiversity in all its forms: paths instead of lawns, natural lawns (orchids), free trees, hedges regularly maintained in intaglio pruning, fruit trees maintained in intaglio for natural and not forced production. The "wild" side will allow you to discover the local flora and fauna and even, with the presence of an adult for children, to observe the life of the pond. <br>Nearby: In the village (2.5 kms) you will find the bakery every evening: sourdough breads, organic and local flours, baked in a wood oven, real bread as in the past that can be kept...
