The Lantana Guest House is a charming studio type apartment with a full kitchen, full bathroom, a queen size bed, sofa, and small dining table. The yard is fenced with a large pergola just outside the door and a hot tub on my deck, both of which you are free to use. Pet friendly (in fact, I have a dog that is occasionally in the backyard, and will definitely want to meet you). Plenty of off street parking. Very walkable and the beach and best night life within a few blocks.

The listing price includes the 7% hotel / lodging tax which I will pay to the City of Port Aransas.

Absolutely Charming property! The host was very responsive and the property was beautiful. The guest house is super cute and very well maintained and well stocked. Bed was very comfy and the hot tub worked just great. We brought our two small dogs with us and they enjoyed the yard. It was cold so we did not spend a lot of time outside on the property, but it was beautiful. Very close to the beach. Will definitely come back again.

Very welcoming to pets and the back yard was gated so my dog was able to roam and around which was so nice! Very clean and so close to the beach and restaurants. Host was so kind as well :)

This place was so nice and convenient to the beach the restaurant's, just short walk to everything and the host Mark was very helpful. The pet area was great for my lil dog. The cottage was decorated beach vibe very nice. We toured the island and beach on e-bike's. Would highly recommend this lil jewel.

Excellent location near the beach and Port Aransas restaurants and shops. Beautiful property, super comfortable accommodations. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. The backyard has everything you could want to relax, outdoor cooking. Being pet friendly was icing on the cake for my two small pups. Finally super quiet and clean. One of my favorite stays in Port A so highly recommended.

TLDR: Outstanding! --but for the rest of you looking for my experience on this jewel, read on. The owner, Mark, was quick to respond to my questions before we booked the property. He was also there to greet us when we arrived to check in and give us a quick overview of the property. The property is just like you see in his photos. No surprises except maybe that it feels just like you'd expect once you set foot in the back yard. The overall property is on a very nice (perhaps one of the nicest) street in Old Town Port Aransas. Everything was extremely well maintained. The other thing we really liked was that the front door to the cottage faces the pergola and back yard area versus the other house, giving it a really private feel. We had friends staying for the weekend nearby, so we got to see a couple of other properties that we'd looked at when researching our trip and to be honest, I was both relieved and thrilled we'd picked Mark's property versus the others! We now have friends who will be fighting us for dibs next year during the annual trip. Everything about our stay here uses those same superlatives: amazing, wonderful, awesome--and with good reason. Mark has created a fantastic spot for visitors like us. I was initially going to write that I would not hesitate for a second to stay again. However, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Thanks so much for a delightful first visit to Port A!

We had such a great experience staying here! The home was very neat, clean, and well taken care of, which made it easy to settle in right away. Everything we needed was available, and the space was exactly as described in the listing. Mark was a very helpful and accommodating host—he responded quickly to any questions we had and made sure our stay was smooth from beginning to end.The location was perfect for enjoying Port Aransas, close to the beach and local spots while still being peaceful and relaxing. Weekend getaway

Mark’s Lantana Cottage was exactly what I wanted. Close to the beach. Close to shopping & restaurants. Quiet, quaint, & very clean!Arriving at Lantana Guest House was so pretty! The home is really pretty & the guest house was a hidden gem. The backyard was perfect for my little dog, who came along with me. Walking into the cottage was very welcoming. Very clean, everything you need, and then some! Lots of extra bath towels, very comfortable bed, stove, and microwave and a full-size refrigerator. Mark had a beautiful patio to sit outside and relax in the evening.Walking distance to some of Port Aransas’s popular restaurants. Beach was located very close, just down the street. Take an evening stroll or get up early in the morning and take in the gorgeous sunrise.I would highly recommend Mark‘s Lantana house if you are looking for something a little bit off the beaten path, quiet with easy access to everything in Port Aransas. You are literally five minutes from anything.Look forward to visiting again!

This was our third time staying at the Lantana Guest House, we keep coming back to Port Aransas because we are obsessed with this guest house! One of our all time favorite short-term rentals we've experienced. We get to bring our dog, there's a hot tub, beautifully maintained gardens, a pergola. So close to the beach. Love just sitting in the back yard, feeling the breeze and the sounds of the palm fronds. Mark is so chill, everything feels like a breeze. 10/10 would recommend!
