Country House Glicine is a welcoming country house 50km from Rome. Glicine house is located on a gentle slope on the shores of Lake Vico, 600m above sea level. Surrounded by oak and chestnut woods, it is therefore ready to offer you the most absolute peace and privacy despite being just a few kilometers from the city of Viterbo, famous for the Terme dei Papi as well as the cities of art in Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany. A well-kept park around the villa is made up of large lawn areas enlivened by flower bushes.
Once you have crossed the entrance portal, you will find yourself immersed in a large splendid terrace - patio, framed by bushes of fragrant plants and flowers with changing colors that make the environment magical and evocative.
Location is completed by a wellness area created on the terrace adjacent to the Glicine house complete with a sparkling Jacuzzi hydromassage tub, outdoor shower and comfortable deckchairs. Please note: the use of the jacuzzi hot tub is optional, to be agreed with the owner on site. The rental price does not include the use of the Jacuzzi hot tub.
The house, the entrance with large French window, the terrace and patio, develop on the ground floor and open directly onto the living area with lounge, dining area and kitchen to form a single open-space environment.
Also on this floor we find two double bedrooms, hallway, a bathroom with shower cabin. The sleeping area is equipped with air conditioning.
A lovely gazebo on the terrace provides shade to a table for pleasant al fresco lunches or dinners.
The surrounding park boasts a scenic swimming pool, to be shared.
The property, located between Viterbo and Rome, enjoys a strategic position for visiting numerous scenic, artistic and cultural beauties of Etruscan Tuscia.

Lovely location, clean & comfortable.

My wife and I booked suite Magnolia for 8 days at the end of May. There was good communication and the owners were very welcoming and pleasant. The photos on the website were a little confusing so we were not entirely sure which photos were all related to our accommodation. The accommodation was clean and tidy, the linen was regularly changed and the seating was fairly comfortable . The kitchen however was very basic, with only a two burner gas stove, kettle and toaster and fridge-freezer. There was no oven or microwave and little free worktop. There was also no BBQ facilities that we could see. The gardens are well maintained and the outdoor pool was clean (though quite cold at that time of the year) with a large patio area and sun-loungers. It was a very peaceful setting and for us ideally situated to visit all the places we had planned, though more information about local food shops, opening times etc and local events would have been helpful. Overall we had a very pleasant holiday and with a bit of updating to the accommodation we would recommend staying there.

We're sorry that you have not taken advantage of daily personal and attentive service of the crew of Villa La Paiola, who are in tune with your every wish, in asking them the oven or BBQ, which for reason of rain had been taken in safe place. Thanks to your constructive note, our Suites with lake view are now equipped also with an oven. For those who want to devote to the kitchen, there are Suites specially equipped for this: the Suite Cedro (5 burner stove with electric oven) or Suite Palma (4 burner stove with oven ), Suite Glicine with professional gas BBQ. We want to believe that, after your holiday marked by unusual cold and bad weather in May, we shall have again the pleasure to meet you at Villa La Paiola, preferable during hot sunny days, so you’ll have an occasion to discover and fully enjoy your holiday time , quite happily do nothing, having the soul in harmony with sounds of wild nature, the eyes which reflects turquoise water of the pool and lake having a blue sky above… but after this a little more activity, try canoeing, exploring a picturesque village Caprarola with the superb Farnese Palace, Jacuzzi hot tub, pool, fitness, and at last, enjoying delicious meal in local tavern. Tolle Lage und Erholung pur!

Wir haben hier einen wunderbaren Urlaub mit unseren Söhnen verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und gut ausgestattet, der Seeblick (auch vom Jakuzzi aus) ist wunderschön. Der Pool ist herrlich und bietet ebenfalls einen Blick auf den See. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr privat und wir wurden sehr freundlich und aufmerksam betreut. Supermarkt, Restaurants, Apotheke und das Seeufer sind schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Wunderschön gelegen über dem Vicosee!

Die sehr schöne Anlage inklusive Pool ist herrlich gelegen inmitten der Natur mit einem tollen Blick auf den Vicosee. Die Ruhe ist ideal zum Erholen geeignet, die Wohnungen bieten viel Privatsphäre. Das Anwesen und die Wohnungen sind sehr gepflegt und sauber mit Reinigung der Wohnungen und Wäschewechsel zweimal pro Woche. Die Eigentümer sind sehr nett, freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Lage ist ideal geeignet für Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung, z.B. Viterbo, Caprarola (Villa Farnese), Ronciglione sowie die vielen romantischen kleinen Orte in der Nähe, aber auch für Ausflüge an den Bolsena-See und nach Rom. Sehr gut hat uns der Whirlpool mit Seeblick gefallen sowie die beeindruckenden Sonnenuntergänge über dem See.

A recommander sans réserve

Villa idéalement située, au calme, avec une vue magnifique sur le lac de Vico. Logement propre, fonctionnel, bien entretenu, avec tout l'équipement nécessaire. En plus de la belle piscine ensoleillée, elle aussi avec une vue complète sur le lac, nous disposions d'un jacuzzi privé entretenu tous les jours par les propriétaires habitant sur place durant notre séjour. Les propriétaires sont accueillants, chaleureux, très à l'écoute et de bons conseils (restaurants, excursions en Ombrie ou sur Rome). Au total une location à recommander sans problème.
