Enjoy a prime Lake Vermilion location with 105 feet of private sandy shoreline, a dock, and room for up to 12 guests. Birchwood Lane is a private lakefront home designed for families and groups seeking privacy, comfort, and classic Minnesota lake adventures.

Relax on multiple decks, gather around the firepit, or enjoy a level lakeside yard perfect for lawn games and sunset views. The home is quiet and secluded, yet within walking distance to Tavern in the Bay Bar & Grill and just minutes by boat.

Located near Tower (15 min) and Cook (20 min) with snowmobile trails nearby, this property offers year-round recreation. A public boat launch is just 1 mile away in Everett Bay, with trailer parking available on-site.

Luxury Lakefront Vermilion Home close to Trail & Tavern

We arrived to a warm beautiful setting greeted with a personalized note from the Hosts. This beautiful home provided all the comforts of home. The hosts provided us with a short cut to access the snowmobile trail & lake. Warm & family friendly home!

Customer outing

I rented to property as for a customer outing and it was everything I hoped it would be. Property was beautiful and very clean. I would not hesitate to rent the property in the summer or winter. Owners were very responsive and easy to work with!

Great Time Snowmobiling 😃

We rented a cabin on lake Vermillion. The property was great, plenty of room, well organized, cozy and very affordable with our large group. The owners explained everything well. I would definitely rent this place again.

Wonderful Experience

Truly enjoyed our vacation at Birchwood Lane. The house was spacious and provided enough beds and privacy for our group. The kitchen was very well stocked. We made all our meals and had everything we needed. The backyard and decks provided great spaces to eat and relax.

Great fishing outing and stay

Some buddies and I took a long weekend fishing in Tower and not only caught a lot of fish, but cooked some gourmet meals and hung out at a phenomenal VRBO! The house and location are ideal, and Joy was a wonderful host! Kyle gave us some fishing tips and the kitchen was decked out with a six burner double oven Viking stove. Great fun and we’ll be back next year!

Great Lake Home for Family

Wonderful lake home. Our first stay on Lake Vermillion. Lots of places to sit and relax, both in the sun and out of the sun, near the dock watching the kids (5 under 11 years old) play on the sand beach and on the dock, on the decks watching the kids play on the lawn. Each of us had a wonderful time. At night, each family had their own bedroom retreat area. And, the kitchen was wonderful to cook big family meals.

Beautiful House on Lake Vermilion

The house is beautiful! It's very spacious on the inside, has a big kitchen that was perfect for our large family and the perfect setup to sleep everyone more than comfortably. Everything in the house was labeled and organized, even the light switches! That was a huge help when we would head in for the night. Would definitely recommend this place!

What a great place to get together!

We loved our time at Birchwood Lane on Lake Vermilion. This beautiful home was well suited for us with our children and grandchildren. The beach was perfect for the little ones, while the decks and patios were relaxing for all. Large windows provided a beautiful view of the lake. Pontoon was large and clean. Fish, food, waterfalls, dams, tubing and being together made this a wonderfully memorable week for all of us. I highly recommend this home!

This place was wonderful!

My family and I stayed here for a week in August. This place was absolutely perfect for our 4 adult sons, daughter-in-laws, and 2 grandchildren. The little ones enjoyed playing in the sand on the beach and fishing off of the dock. The dock was plenty big for our 2 boats. The lake was beautiful with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The house was plenty large enough to accommodate all of us with a large kitchen to cook in. We will definitely be going up there again with our family. Joy and Kyle did an amazing job with this home.

Great place for families

Wonderful for families. Our grandchildren (4-11) had a great time on the beach and swimming. They also enjoyed their "movie theater" and set up nightly movies with candy and tickets. The outdoor seating areas were always in use. The home was very clean and organized. The only thing missing were beach towels but we made a trip to town town and bought some. The master suite was perfect and the loft worked well for one family with kids and the bunkhouse for the other. Hope to make it back for next year.

Great place for family vacation!

Beautiful home, and property. Plenty of space for people to spread out. And a gorgeous view of the lake! We stayed there on a family vacation with our adult children (6 adults total). It was perfect for us. This property technically sleeps 12, but if your group is all adults, I would say that 8 is the most that I would sleep if you want privacy. If you have children or teens in your group, and privacy is not a concern, then you can sleep 12. My only negative comment (which is not a huge negative) is that it would be nice if more towels were provided for a weeks stay. Joy was very responsive to all our questions. We would definitely recommend this property!

Magnificent Family Fun Time

Joy and Kyle have this serene, picture perfect property, looking out on the beauty of vast Lake Vermillion. We woke early to see glorious sunrises reflecting on the water. We have many good cooks in the family so we enjoyed the large well organized kitchen. The great rooms were spacious with plenty of comfortable furniture for family gatherings. The large table on the side patio was a wonderful space to gather for our family evening meals. With our large group we got the big pontoon and enjoyed spending time touring the lake, swimming, waterskiing and tubing. The further north we went on the lake, the more we felt the serenity of the hallowed pristine beauty. We went kayaking and paddle boarding. The decks were great for lake viewing, reading or visiting. We were gifted with perfect weather for our entire stay. I hope many folks choose to spend their lake vacation here as it is perfect in all ways. Thank you Joy and Kyle!

Annual Filan summer vacation

This property is absolutely beautiful! We have been coming to Lake Vermillion with our Grown children and their significant others the last 3 years and this was by far the best location and most comfortable home we have stayed in. The kitchen was spacious to cook in, the many different seating areas inside and outside made the experience even better! Kyle took the boys on a fishing trip one morning and they brought home 9 walleye and 1 huge perch for dinner! I am pretty sure our son gave him a few chuckles with all of his stories he had :) The bay was awesome for the family to tube and knee board, the yard area allowed for us to have bean bag and monkey ball tournaments and the fire pit was great for making smores. This property is a walk out to the lake with a nice dock, previous place we stayed had 160 stairs to get to the lake and that was no fun if you had to go up and down numerous times throughout the day. The kids golfef a couple times at Fortune Bay and visited the casino where our son came away with 4 different hand pays! This was by far a great experience and we made memories to last a life time! Thank you for opening your home to us and allowing us to have an amazing family vacation!

We are avid travelers ourselves and feel confident that we can help make your vacation as great as you want it to be! Originally from Iowa, both in the medical & dental fields, we want you to know that we are hard working genuine people who are also running a business on Lake Vermilion with our three young children. We may be incredibly busy, but never too busy for our guests as we are just a couple of miles down the road.

We absolutely love this property as we feel you will too! Large outdoor spaces for relaxing and grilling. As well as large indoor spaces too. A gourmet kitchen anyone would love to cook in. Beverage station in kitchen is awesome so that people aren’t bumping elbows. Separate living room and Great Room both host large sectional couches, plenty of space for everyone!

The loft area above the garage is THE hangout for adults or kids!! Heated garage in winter is a major plus, in-floor heat is also a beautiful addition. In the off season, this is the most quiet place to relax and unplug! The separate Bunk House is another area for privacy as well for older kids or adults.

With the central location on Lake Vermilion, off a paved highway down a winding Red Pine lined road, you'll find solace here. Quick easy access, plenty of parking, close to local bars/restaurants, the town of Cook or the town of Tower. Within 15 to 30 minutes you could be doing some or all of the things! Mini golf, to a gorgeous 18 hole golf course with casino, to shopping in Ely or visiting museums, to hiking or biking or just enjoying being on the water!
