We had a wonderful 2 weeks in July 2025 here. The house is very generously sized, modern and clean. It has been renovated by the owners and has some lovely retained details from the original barn. The house is situated along a private driveway in the middle of the owners farmland and feels very tranquil and secluded, there are beautiful views out across the fields. The owners house and the other rental property are nearby but arranged so they do not overlook each other. Around the houses is the large heated pool, lovely pool house, games barn and orchard which we could pick fresh fruit from. Our children loved having so much space to safely roam free.The owners were so welcoming and hosted drinks one evening which was lovely to hear more about the farm and chance to ask about recommendations for things to do in the area.We found plenty of things to do within a 45min drive ; local walks, cycles along the riverside, castles, attractive towns, canoeing. It has less of the big tourist attractions than Sarlat-la-Caneda to the east (which we stayed last year) but as a result the places we visited were relatively quiet and unspoilt.

Great holiday with lovely hosts

We had a really relaxing holiday in a high quality house, with a great pool surrounded by farmland. Lovely hosts who made us really welcome and gave us some excellent local recommendations.

Ein Haus im Maisfeld

Haus mit besonderem Charme und eine Terrasse die als erweitertes Wohnzimmer fungiert. Schöne grosse Bäume die dem Haus, der Terrasse und der Wiese Schatten spenden. Pool, Tischtennis und Boule-Platz boten uns eine schöne Abwechslung und wurden viel genutzt. Bis auf die Grillen war es absolut ruhig. Freundliche Gastgeber denen unser Wohl am Herzen lag.

Vacances au calme

L’hébergement est parfait ainsi que l’emplacement. Nos chiens ont adoré les baignades dans le lac et nous avons craqué pour nos hôtes, Laeticia et Eric, qui ont su se montrer très disponibles et accueillants. Nous reviendrons !

Magnifique domaine

So peaceful

We had a lovely two weeks at this beautiful place. The hosts were very welcoming, inviting us to drinks by the pool and dinner by the private lake. The house itself was spotless and very comfortable and had everything you would need for a two week holiday. The pool area is beatiful and we had it ourselves for most of the time. The local area is lovely, its about a 12 min drive to the supermarkets and there are some nice restaurants a similar distance away. Overall I would recommend this place and would definitely return myself. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fabulous Holiday

Eric and Letitia offer their guests a very warm welcome at this superb farm location. Close to a number of towns for shopping and sightseeing, but rurally located. Beautiful heated, saltwater pool with toilet, shower and even cooking facilities and fridge in the pool house. We loved the accommodation: spacious and stylish with every facility you could need. Large terrace area at the back overlooking large cornfields. Letitia kindly took us on a farm tour which was really interesting. We ate possibly the best meal we have ever had in France at a nearby restaurant (Bucket’s Auberge Inn). We hope to return to Le Font de Touny at some stage in the future as we had a really relaxing holiday with a luxury feel.

Family holiday

The details don't do this property justice, the private lake and pedalo on the farm were a complete surprise which the kids loved. The place was very tranquil, most of the time we had the pool to ourselves. The children had lots of space to play inside and out and we loved the architecture of the converted barn. Eric and family invited us to have a meal with them by the lake and they treated us to some of the homemade pate and puddings and homegrown vegetables. The cat was friendly.

We had a truly wonderful stay in this beautiful gite.

Eric and his wife couldn’t have been better hosts for our trip. The gite is clean and spacious and of a much higher spec than others we have stayed in. The pool was a wonderful warm temperature and had a lovely shaded area with a fridge alongside to cool of under. Added to that we were even given a guided tour of the farm which our little one loved especially the tractors! We couldn’t recommend this friendly lovely accommodation any more

Perfect stay and hosts.

From start to finish our week was perfect. The house had everything we needed and although we were there on the 3rd week of Oct, we were able to spend a good few hours around the luxurious pool. Eric and his family were perfect hosts and invited us for an aperitif. This gave us a great chance to practice our French and them their English. A great idea! We have no hesitation in giving a 5 star score and a recommendation for anyone looking to come to this area.

Tranquility

What an amazing find. The gite is top quality offering all you need for a comfortable holiday. The pool area was one of the best we have come across. With cooking facilities shower and seating area. We took our three dogs and they were most welcome. Great size garden and lovely walks for them to enjoy. The gite is well situated to get to all the tourist areas and we found some great places.

Un super gîte pour passer des superbes vacances

Tout est parfait, Eric et Laétitia sont très accueillants. Le gîte est neuf, la déco très sympa, la piscine est géniale (28 degrès), les étangs sont poissonneux, la wifi est top. Le gîte est super confortable, rien ne manque! Nous conseillons ce gîte🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Super mooie, rustige omgeving tussen de maïsvelden. Fantastisch huis!

We hebben 2 heerlijke weken gehad met onze 3 kinderen (10, 14 & 15 jaar). Super mooi huis met 2 slaapkamers. Onze kids konden gezellig met z’n drieën op 1 kamer en hadden een eigen badkamer. Hele grote keuken met alles erop en eraan. Wasmachine in huis was ook heel prettig. Hond mocht mee en die heeft de tijd van haar leven gehad. Ze kon nergens heen dus heeft alleen maar los gelopen. Heerlijk zwembad. Vrienden van ons kwamen de tweede week ook in het huisje naast ons en dat was wel erg gezellig. De plaats is niet toeristisch, wat wel prettig was. Nergens echt druk. Je kan naar meertjes met zandstrand, waterfietsen, kano varen, vissen, markten bezoeken. We hebben rondgelopen in Bergerac wat ook zeker de moeite waard was. Er zijn ook wel andere dingen zoals kastelen bezoeken en grotten, maar dat hebben we niet gedaan. De eigenaren van het huis waren zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij. Absolute aanrader als je van rust houdt en een mooie omgeving.
