Family holidays near the seaside, in a comfortable farmhouse with swimming pool

For comfortable holidays by the seaside, old renovated farmhouse (1880) which can accommodate several families. Located in a small hamlet halfway between Concarneau and La Forêt-Fouesnant, close (1.5 km) to the shops and supermarkets of Concarneau. Extremely quiet environment. Nearby, the beaches of Concarneau (Sables Blancs) or La Forêt-Fouesnant (Port la Forêt – Kerleven), as well as the La Forêt Fouesnant golf course. The house is also close to the cycle path (the "greenway") leading to Concarneau and its beaches. The property consists of Ferme St Jean (6 bedrooms - Up to 13 people - 4 bathrooms - 4 toilets) and an adjoining outbuilding Le Penty (3 bedrooms - Up to 6 people - 1 bathroom - 2 toilets) sharing exclusive access to a large garden and a swimming pool heated to 26°. The swimming pool (10m x 3m - 1.5m deep everywhere) has a safety cover with electric engine. It is heated and open from the end of May to mid-September. The rates reported for the rental of the two houses include all charges and taxes, and end-of-stay cleaning.
Optionnal costs are not included : Bed linen renting/cleaning (12€/ bed) or towels (6€ for a set of two).
When the swimming pool is not opened (end of September to May), it is possible to rent the large house or the small house separately, with exclusive use of the garden. Ask for the cost.

In the large house (ST JEAN) : large living room on the ground floor (fireplace, living room, large screen TV, HIFI system), dining room that can accommodate 12 people (more by adding the fold-out console). On the second floor, a large games room with TV, DVD player, Playstation, baby-foot. The kitchen (table 4-6 people) is fully equipped, and the back kitchen has a refrigerator, a large freezer, washing machine, dishes and a dryer.

In the small house (PENTY), on one level, a pleasant living room (TV), an equipped kitchen (table for 6 persons) with washing machines.

In the garden: outdoor furniture, parasol, garden tables, covered area under a courtyard, outdoor games, ping-pong table, barbecue and plancha.

The courtyard can accommodate at least 6 vehicles.
Wifi is available in the whole property.

Excellent holiday near Concarneau

Excellent large property with a great range of amenities - lovely secluded garden and pool with lots of external areas for relaxing and/or drinks/meals. The area is lovely with great beaches and very quaint villages. Would definitely recommend this property to large groups or families

Beautiful house

This house is absolutely beautiful. The pool is a fantastic size and there was plenty of room for all the childten yo have their own space. Nearby Concarneau is a must visit - we called it Diagon Alley.

Beautiful well-equipped house and garden

Eleven friends stayed in Penty and St Jean and had a great week exploring this lovely area of Brittany. The accommodation was spacious, attractive and comfortable and St Jean was very well-equipped.

A great place to live

There is plenty of space for the whole family. A large table where everyone can sit. The living room offers space for everyone. The place is a great starting point for day trips and the contact with the landlord was extremely friendly. Many thanks for that!

Concarneau

My family and I had a wonderful time here. Everything we could need was catered for, including extra toys/floats for the pool. The location is ideal for the beach and days out. One of my grandchildren wants to stay again as she loved the pool.

Family celebration

This property was perfect for a large group. There is generous accommodation, well equipped kitchen, fantastic bbq, warm pool and great location all contributed to a fabulous week away. Although we had a couple of problems the owners quickly responded and resolved and our holiday progressed seamlessly. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

Unforgettable holiday

The house was so impressive. All the facilities you could ever need. The hamlet its located in is beautiful- so quiet - we enjoyed seeing the bats flying atound each night. House is so close to local shops and the gorgeous town of Concarneau. The ideal location for a fantastic holiday in France.

Summer hols

The house is absolutely beautiful and space inside perfect for our group of 12. The garden and pool are also ideal. However the noise, which was by no means excessive for 6 kids age 10 and under having fun in a pool, was a problem for the close proximity of the neighbours which was a shame.

Wonderful stay

This is a fabulous holiday home for a large family and friends group. There were 15 of us and there was plenty of space over the two homes. The back garden is fantastic with the pool, table tennis, tree house and swing for the kids. There is plenty of seats and a large table for outside dining. The area is great just outside Concarneau so very quiet but 5 mins from the large supermarket and 10 mins from the centre. A couple of small issues were fixed immediately but the lovely neighbours on behalf of the host. I would love to stay here again if I was holidaying in the area

Trip review

We had an excellent stay! We were on a family holiday with kids ages ranging from 2 - 15 and the house and facilities were just perfect. The kids loved the pool and the fantastic playroom. The garden is also spacious with lots of room for them to run around (and watch the tractor next door!). Communication with the hosts and groundskeeper was also smooth and friendly. I would 100% recommend this place and we all found the price very reasonable for the facilities it has to offer. We hope to be back one day! Thanks again

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable.Le gîte magnifique, clair, spacieux et très propre.Suffisamment de vaisselle et de casseroles pour notre équipe.Nous étions un groupe de cousins (12 personnes de 70 a 85 ans).Et en plus nous avons eu un temps magnifiqueJe recommande vivement cet hébergement pour un groupe.

Un week-end inoubliable

une belle semaine de découvertes et de randonnées

nous sommes un groupe de 16 randonneuses et randonneurs essentiellement originaire d'Alsace. nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans ce très beau gîte très bien équipé, bien situé par rapport aux sentiers de ballades et à la ville de Concarneau. on se sent très bien dans cet endroit qui a une âme et qui est d'une tranquilité absolue.

une semaine de promenade par un beau temps pour découvrir la bretagne de pont aven jusqu'à la pointe du raz en passant par quimper.... sans oublier les plages..... que du bonheur. Le tout dans une superbe propriété ou rien ne manque.
