Wonderful apartment that has been very well maintained and preserving the character of the building. Great terrace with awesome views! There is a learning curve to figuring out access, but Estelle was very responsive in helping us through the initial process. Would stay there again and highly recommend!

Beautiful historic spacious place with artistic touches. We loved our time here, especially on the balcony with morning coffee and evenings with wine. The view with its sweeping vista is spectacular. Bed was comfy and all was impeccably clean. Would move to Lisbon but only if we could live in Estelle's apartment :) Very high recommendation from us!

Great apartment

Plenty of space, nice kitchen, clothes washer was helpful. Beautiful patio overlooking the harbor and neighborhood, which we couldn’t use due to record rain! Would definitely go back!

Great location

Superbly located part way up the Hill to the Castelo Sao Jorge. Spacious with lots of character and a cool kitchen and large patio with an awesome view. Host was communicative and flexible, allowing us to drop off our bags early. Would definitely stay again.

A Perfect Spot to Explore and Enjoy Alfama!

This location is in a perfect spot to walk to the majority of attractions you have on your list while in Lisbon, the majority of which are all within a 20-minute walk. An added bonus of the location allowed us to stop back in the apartment during the hotter times of day to take a break and cool off. The comfort of the apartment and view made taking the break enjoyable and added a nice relaxing note to our vacation.We were there at the end of June, so not only was the view from within the balcony amazing, but the apartment is situated just up the hill from some beautiful Jacaranda trees that were in bloom.Estelle was an excellent host; if we ever make it back to Lisbon, we'd plan on staying here again!

Beautiful flat, excellent location

The flat was in a quiet, and lovely area. It had a great roof terrace with a fantastic view. The flat was well equipped, bright and airy. It was easy to walk to good restaurants and bars.

ideal location in historic Alfama neighborhood. Despite steep ascent on one of Lisbon's hills to the flat, the location and view made it worthwhile.

Perfection!

We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment… So stylish and well set up with everything we needed, in the best area, and of course with the magical terrace and views! Waking up to the birds singing in the trees and feeling like we were in nature even though this is the middle of the best part of Lisbon was just incredible. Totally perfect for us!

Old Portuguese Charm

Great old, Portuguese-style place, beautifully decorated. Place looks like the photos. Quiet location, great views, and very walkable to sites and restaurants. Big bookshelf of wonderful resources—tour books, guides, restaurant books, etc. Loved sipping wine on the spacious deck. Place smelled and looked clean with the exception of the bathroom which had black mold around the sink and shower stall.

The perfect hideaway

Very central but quiet location. Lovely old building and the view is exactly as described. Exceptionally well equipped. Estelle is a gracious and thoughtful host. Definitely worth coming back to.

GREAT SPACE IN ALFAMA

This is a comforable and hip apartment, perfect for a couple. the neighborhood is safe and quiet, but restaurants, coffee shops, transportation is close.There is a grocery store (Pingo Doce) at the end of the street. The kitchen was well equipped and airy, but the big appeal is the terrace. The view looks out on Corcovado, the river, the bridge, the Cathedral and the Praca do Commercio. Magnficent at night and sunset.I would gladly return.

Gorgeous spot inside and out

We loved the fantastic location of the apartment. It allowed us to explore during the day and get some rest from the heat in the early afternoons. The large, large doors/ windows let in plenty of light and we really enjoyed the space to rest. The balcony with a fantastic view is a nice spot for the evenings, even though we mostly spent ours walking around in the neighborhoods around us. Would definitely stay here again.

Spacious, well located apt

This is a spacious, well-located apartment. The living room and kitchen have excellent views, and the terrace is lovely. I would recommend this stay, noting however that it is not quite as clean as the typical VRBO (e.g. some cat fur, smelly toilet).

A great place to stay in a great area

This apartment has been beautifully decorated. You will love the high ceilings, the light, the views. If you like history, you will love the location, it's between the cathedral, the fort and the ruins of the Roman theatre. It's also easy to walk down the hill to Pingo grocery store, to shopping and restaurants in Baixa and to the river. About a 15-minute walk to the famous Santa Justa elevator to Chiado. Going east is Alfama, the oldest neighbourhood. In other words, there is something of interest in every direction. Also, the apartment is very quiet. I would stay here again.
