Your review is inaccurate, and I want to correct the record clearly. The hot tub was fully functional when you arrived and was used by your group on the first day. The issue occurred overnight due to a power surge from the storms, which is a circumstance outside of our control. I explained this to you directly and also explained our policy. This is what I told you, directly pasted from the VRBO message thread. “The issue appears to have been caused by a power surge from the storms and was a circumstance outside of our control. Because of that, our policy normally doesn’t allow refunds or discounts for things that fall under ‘acts of God’ or other events we can’t prevent. That said, I always want to be as fair and thoughtful as possible with our guests. Once the 14‑day deposit security hold through VRBO has passed and the payment for your stay have both posted, I’d be happy to revisit the situation and see if there’s something I may be able to offer as a courtesy.” Instead of allowing the 14‑day window to pass—which just ended today—you chose to post a false review before I even had the opportunity to follow up with any courtesy offer. Your group also left the hot tub dirty, which required additional cleaning on our end. We responded immediately, sent a technician the same day, communicated honestly, and followed our policies. Your review does not reflect the actual situation or the communication you received.
