Above the Law

Luxury apartment above a former law office.
Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Natchez.
Off street parking, huge landscaped courtyard.
Front and rear balconies
Building is an 1870’s commercial building.
Fully equipped kitchen.
Formal dining room
Living room with balcony over Franklin Street.
Beautifully furnished, with premium towels and bedding.
2 full en-suite bathrooms with tubs with showers.

About 2,000 sqft.

Check in, if before 5 p.m. (Mon-Sat), is next door at my Antique Shop - Lower Lodge Antiques 712 Franklin Street.
Our guests have access to a private “members only” pool in downtown Natchez. Pool open Labor Day to Memorial Day. Pool about 7 blocks from apartment - short drive or an easy walk.

After 5 p.m. and on Sundays we normally use a lock box for check ins. While we do not charge a separate cleaning fee with booking, for long-term stays maid service can be arranged on request (additional fees may apply).

Richard, Jill and Barbara are terrific hosts. The upstairs apartment is spacious and comfortable and convenient to all Natchez attractions. The courtyard is a pleasant spot for morning coffee or an evening cocktail.

Our host made sure we had everything to be comfortable while we were visiting. We had plenty of options to choose whether to stay in and enjoy the balconies or venture out on the town. I would highly recommend this location for a getaway. Shopping, eating, nature trails, beautiful homes and churches all within walking distance.

Everything was wonderful! The apartment is so warm and inviting and it had any amenity we could ask for. The private balcony was a big plus and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would recommend this property and intend to return.

The overall stay was good. The home is Awesome. The only thing is the Bar across the street…. It was very hard to sleep. I’m sure it was cause of the holiday weekend. But overall it was good.

“Above the Law” was the absolute upstairs private home away from home. 2 beautiful bedrooms/2 full bathrooms/living room/dining room/kitchen were all fully stocked with everything needed. Beautiful private front and rear balconies gave us peaceful time to enjoy sunrise (coffee & breakfast) and sunsets (dinner and drinks) in the city. A beautiful courtyard (shared with other guests) sets the mood as you enter the gate to the beautiful property. My companion and I enjoyed the privacy and the relaxation in the abundant amenities of this 2000 sq ft property and enjoyed the beauty of the art and antique collections throughout. Ideal setting and accommodations

Well-furnished and supplied; a very large space decorated uniquely; great location; wonderful outdoor courtyard. Would love to rent the space again if we return to Natchez. Great place for a short stay or an extended stay. The hosts are quite hospitable. (I would, however, recommend new mattresses for a more comfortable night's rest.)

Opened a store in Natchez in 1987
Lived in this apartment from 1992.

It was a home for many years - it still feels personal. It has art, several collections, and even artwork by the owner.
When I moved I only took a few items and left it as my home. (Just did another one!)
It is still used by my family at certain times during the year.
