Cozy clean restored farmhouse in gorgeous country setting 4 miles to downtown WF

This super special rental on 20 acres is only a couple gorgeous miles outside of downtown Whitefish. It is truly Centrally located in between Columbia Falls and Whitefish for all your needs. The property is breathtaking and aligned with a privacy fence, flowers, bee houses, bird houses, a newly planted orchard and many trees. It is also gated for safety.
This well-kept partially remodeled and restored farmhouse has quite the history! The reclaimed barnwood accents and new ceiling are from a 1920s pig barn we dismantled over quarantine. This little farm house was built as the second step to replace the original homesteaders cabin nearby in which the owner resides with Achilles, the wonder pig!
An extra living space and bathroom was added on to the farmhouse in the 70’s to replace the outhouse. Just this year, we have replaced all the windows and most of the floors. We freshly painted the entire home and upgraded some appliances. Some of the original hardwood flooring remains and is really beautiful to see. We left some of the original doors which are really precious and authentic. It keeps the integrity.
Come hike in Haskill basin. Come to Glacier. Visit Whitefish. Your in the middle of it all on this property. Your in the heart of the gateway to Glacier national Park, Whitefish Lake, shopping, both downtowns, skiing, and more! Stunning views. Cozy living. It is quiet outside of town. Wake up and take a walk in the field to enjoy the most glorious views around in our valley in the northwestern corner of Montana. This property is rich with history and our home reflects this.
There is only one bathroom and it is not large but the water pressure is fantastic and it is clean and comfortable.
There is no dishwasher or laundry facility.
There is a large flatscreen TV with streaming and excellent WiFi/internet.
Feel free to talk to Alexa and ask her to play your favorite tunes. She’s in the living room on the coffee table under the tv.
The linens are old fashioned and sweet. Of course there are extra clean linens and towels.
Fully stocked kitchen.
Three beds are Tempur-pedic and the other two are high-end mattresses. They are all extremely comfortable and protected.
The water pressure is fantastic.
Sorry, NO pets as there are free range chickens, rabbits, one mini pig, a tiny dog, and cats on the property. This is not remote or private from neighbor and is close to Dillon road, an old farm road.

We loved this house, it was clean, very cozy and comfortable.We had everything we needed, the host gave us recommendations and she was super nice. Perfect location also. We had a great time and loved the animals. The pig was adorable! The puppies were very friendly and sweet!

Peaceful, Comfortable and Loved the Poig

A girls trip to see Glacier Natl Park required a comfortable home base to relax from busy days of sightseeing and this was just the place! We loved cooking dinner and relaxing in the evening. Comfortable beds! The farm pig was a bonus. Very conveniently located!

Fire hazard!!!

There is so much to say! Let’s start with it’s a cute little farmhouse. Unfortunately the “20 acres” is the field next door and behind the owner’s house so no privacy. If you want to explore the area their German Shepard will charge you barking like he wants to eat you! The day before you arrive the host will send you a message that warns you not to leave any lights on at night or when you’re not there because “the walls burn hot” since it’s an “old farmhouse” and it’s a fire risk!! She doesn’t mention that the second exit is locked from the outside and that they have access to come to that door and peek in while you are inside! Yep, that happened!! She tried to deny she did that but finally admitted it because we saw her!! She said she was knocking to talk to us. Why would you knock on a door that you’ve locked from the outside?? I have never had an experience like this with VRBO before! We filed a complaint and the VRBO in EGYPT!!! Says it wasn’t a fire hazard because she “warned” us. What?? I spoke with building code authority in Columbia Falls and the said there is “no way” electric wiring was in code!! Do not book here! Host admits that you could all burn alive if you leave a light in to find the bathroom in the middle of the night!! Unbelievable!

Cozy farmhouse with mountain views

Host was great! Property is peaceful, quaint and well stocked (I.e. comfortable beds, ample towels, fans, etc.) We especially enjoyed the owner sharing the farms history and our time with Maximus, Riggins and Achiellies!

THIS is THE place to stay!

This rental felt just like home to us! The accommodations were perfect for the two of us and the outside views couldn’t be beat. Close proximity to Whitefish and Glacier, but not in a busy/bustling area. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit. Owners and their animals are great.

Girls Trip 2022

My daughter and I brought my mom and my sister with her daughter out for our yearly girls trip. This year we chose Glacier and boy it didn’t disappoint! This VRBO was exactly as it stated! With that being said, August was hot but luckily we were gone to Glacier most of the days so we didn’t have too much trouble without the air conditioning. Plenty of fans, linen, dishes and cookware. The location is perfect! We would definitely stay there again!

Quiet Farmhouse

We really enjoyed our stay here... Home had all that we needed and was very clean. Property was beautiful, situated in the middle of beautiful farming area. Close enough to restaurants, etc..., but located in a quiet space surrounded by nature.

Rustic and cozy place to stay

We enjoyed staying at the Farm House! We loved the location and how close it was to everything especially Glacier National Park. It might be helpful to bring some fans if there is hot weather. The host provided fans as well. The host was kind and it was a great atmosphere to stay in. We really enjoyed it!

The Hosts Who Over Delivered

We chose to stay at the house on Dillon Rd simply based on the fact that it had memory foam mattresses. Little did we know, it was going to be so much more than comfortable beds! We were planning to stay Friday-Monday but we decided after the fact that it made more sense to stay Thursday as well. Jocelyn made it all very easy and was available and helpful. Jocelyn and Jay stay on the property as well and allow free range of the property. They have a few animals as well, the pig and the dog were around most (the pig loves his belly rubs)! The house is gated and secure. Everything was clean and ready when we got there, we arrived late at night and got to meet with Jocelyn the morning after. She had several recommendations as far as places to eat and sights to go see. There’s a lovely little sitting area just out back of the house that is absolutely perfect for morning coffee and evening wind downs. There was more than one instance where we had last minute situations come up and Jocelyn and Jay went above and BEYOND to accommodate us. We will choose this house anytime we’re close to the area. 12/10 would HIGHLY recommend!

Great spot, great host!

This is indeed the farmhouse experience you're looking for. Really has everything you need and is super convenient to both GNP and Whitefish/Kalispell and the airport. Easy, secure access plus you get to see some farm animals. We were there during some days that hit 90, but despite no A/C, the farmhouse stayed cool. This is an authentic farmhouse experience!

Great stay!

Adorable, well maintained older farmhouse in a great location. Easy communication with the owner who addressed any issues promptly. It is in a great location convenient to both Glacier National Park and whitefish, also close to grocery stores, restaurants and the airport.

Great location, clean, plenty of space

Our family of 5 had plenty of space. Much appreciated after long travel days to arrive. Property was clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen had everything we needed. We were able to cook meals and enjoy some downtime on Netflix. 30 minutes from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. Minutes from a grocery store and laundromat (which was really clean). 10-15 minutes to Whitefish, where we bowled, went to the Tuesday night Farmer's Market, and enjoyed the city beach. Kalispell is about 20 minutes away. Box stores and more restaurants are available there. Columbia Falls was a nice place to be in the middle of it all.

Lots of character and very peaceful and quiet

Our family very much enjoyed out stay. The property was clean and attractive with lots of character. There could be a few more staples on hand in the kitchen, but that is a minor quibble. We enjoyed the peace and quiet in a beautiful setting.

We loved it!

Loved the house, great for exploring Glacier and Whitefish. Beautiful property and we had all we needed there. You will love staying here. Jocelyn is great and is right there on site if you need her. You’ll love the animals on property and talking a walk and enjoying the views or sitting outside in the afternoon in the shade. Thanks again Jocelyn for hosting us.

Awesome, comfy farm house

This farmhouse is a perfect central location for the west side of GNP. Clean, cozy and quiet place. We were there during the heat wave and even with no A/C we could keep the house very comfortable with all the fans available. The owner was easy to contact and very responsive to questions. We would stay here again if we return to the area.

worked out great, space facilities, loved it!

It worked out great for us, lots of yard, bedrooms and bath are as expected in an older farm house, in good repair, dated but welcoming clean eclectic décor, good wifi, very close to airport, food store, Whitefish, only 23 min to west gate of Glacier National park entrance. Very convenient to everything we needed. Farm animals were fun to see.
