Secluded house with mature oak trees, manicured lawn around house, 2 lakes, and a spring fed creek. Besides the pool there are lawn games such as horseshoes, badminton, and a bumper pool table in the house. This property was previously VRBO # 400543, we are in the process of changing property managers. More pictures and reviews will be moved over from the previous listing soon.

If you want a peaceful place to stay this is the perfect place. It sits on beautiful acreage with no neighbors close by. Will definitely stay there again.

My daughter was playing in a softball tournament in Brenham and this place was just about 25 minutes from the fields. It was so nice and peaceful to come back to from a hot and busy day of softball. The pool was nice to get in and cool off. The house was clean and had so much space. We will stay here again if we come this way for anything.

Property was as described. Large pool with a nice patio. Large family room and dining room. We were attending a wedding in Chappell Hill, and it was a short trip to the venue.

Very enjoyable

Nice comfortable house. Loved pool and outside covered porch area. Great time with old friends. The place has beautiful views and is a nice place to enjoy nature.

Amazing retreat!

We stayed here for an Easter long weekend and had a great time! The house is comfortable and well-equipped, with plenty of dishes, utensils, pots & pans, etc. in the kitchen, as well as extra towels and linens in the bathrooms and bedrooms. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and we loved relaxing out by the pool and enjoying the view (including the cows when they wandered close). We definitely hope to stay here again!

It was a beautiful setting and very clean. It stormed the weekend so we couldn’t enjoy the pool. 2 suggestions I have: Be sure to have the pool table because we were counting on it, and a fire pit would have been perfect. But it’s still a 5 star stay.

Short, easy weekend getaway near Hempstead.

Booked 3 nights to get out of town before school starts. The house was great, lots of room, kitchen had everything we needed, even has his/hers bathrooms upstairs. Kids loved the pool and fishing in the ponds. Very easy drive from Houston, less than an hour and one turn off 290. Very quiet location. The property manager Bill was very responsive and helpful. Definitely a place for a return stay.

Will want to come back!

Great house and great property! Very relaxing and lots of space made for a perfect setting for a family Christmas. Kitchen very equipped and functional for big holiday meals. Owners were super prompt answering questions, and very understanding. Furniture and decorations could use updating, but all very functional and clean. Great place! We’ll come again!

Weekend Wedding

Girls’ Weekend turned Family Time

This is the 2nd year we have stayed here for our girls’ weekend. For a group of moms looking for a relaxing and stress-free few days, it is the perfect spot with beautiful views. After the girls left, it was wonderful to have my husband and daughter come up and spend a couple nights. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, playing games, and spending time together. Can’t wait to return.

Next to the Little Red Schoolhouse

Loved this property and house! This is our fourth time to stay here but the first time we stayed at the house. We usually stayed at the Little Red Schoolhouse but our granddaughter is now old enough to swim so we chose the house with the pool. A great decision by us!! Everything was very nice and the house and surrounding property is so beautiful. Check in is easy and Bill is great to deal with. We had a great time and will be back, for sure!!

We had a great stay! House was clean and cozy, had all the supplies we needed, and beds were comfy. We loved the pool and the covered porch area, and all the beautiful trees. Easy booking and check in process, and prompt communication with the property manager. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, we can’t wait to visit again.
