Misleading.....

I always message hosts before booking. Pictures can mislead. I messaged Olivia inquiring about common walls. Does it share a wall to anything, She replied that it did not. I booked the month of December. When I arrived it was very dark.I couldn't really see layout. Olivia greeted me, showed me around. She was very warm & welcoming. I actually planned on staying additional months. As time went on, I noticed contractors were around pretty much daily. She's selling a house on same the property practically. Brokers & potential buyers were coming through. People working on garage & /or where I was staying. Turns out what I thought was a separate dwelling, was a garage conversion. It was mere feet away from the main house. People coming & going walking by which is fine if you're comfortable w people looking in as they pass. I closed all the blinds. Also discovered the wall at the head of the bed, has a washer /dryer on the other side of it. Which was used at all hours. It was very clean, but crowded for the space. The bed has some over sized mattress pad type thing. It was awkward & uncomfortable. Olivia let me know a "contractor" was doing something at house she's selling (It's supposed to be ready to sell. At any rate, he was coming & he had to use washer /dryer at 5:30 am xmas eve.) After lying about common wall, she snapped at me bc I was heading to an appt & couldn't talk then. It was totally overpriced & I'm not paying all that & enduring a toxic, lonely person.

An incredibly beautiful property and a generous, kind and accommodating landlord. Five stars!

Retreat-like grounds and lovely, well appointed guest house. I highly recommend the experience.

Convenient to Pasadena

I stayed in Olivia's guest house over the summer for work. The guest house is nicely furnished and very comfortable. The property is convenient to Pasadena with a short drive. It is quiet at night, and a few night time visits from raccoons and owls made the experience fun. Olivia is very pet friendly, for well behaved pets, and is a delight to talk to. We enjoyed the pool and the friendly conversation. Thanks for a very comfortable stay!
