Grand Cottage-Near Benodet-Heated Pool

Large stone cottage with cosy, eclectic furniture. Warm blankets on comfortable couches. Reading one of a thousand interesting books and novels in the library room. Cooking a fresh seafood feast in the full, well-equipped kitchen. Swimming a few laps, then farniente on the wooden pool terrace and surround. Even when it rains a bit, you can still enjoy the warm, spa-like feel under the pool's dome. And town and country: Quimper and Pont L'Abbé are minutes' away. Just like the beaches of L'Ile Tudy and Ste Marine, only a 10-minute drive. And the garden! It's 6 acres of 70 year-old botanical park. The rhododendrons are just beginning their debut, May 5th. It's going to be a great Summer!

Property is perfectly located between 10 and 20 minutes of amazing beaches, restaurants, supermarkets including Quimper and La Torche. Edward is super helpful and incredibly responsive and has great recommendations. We loved the property, the grounds, eating out areas, the garden has loads of personality. With great running, cycling, walking, swimming and surfing locations all within easy reach.

I stayed here with my 3 children under 6 years old and my parents. The house has a particularly lovely garden and pool which we all really enjoyed. It’s also in a great spot to get to great beaches, towns and markets. Edward the host was super helpful and welcoming. I would stay again.

Nice country house with gorgeous garden and pool

We spent 2 weeks in this nice country house which is located close to Quimper and close to the beaches. The reception was very kind including also for our son and our family dog. The garden is spectacular including also the large pool. The house is very spacious and well equipped. Overall it should see some investments ie in the kitchen or in the bedrooms.

Absolutely Perfect!!

Where do we start! Wow! What a lovely stay we’ve had here after a busy trip for us. Brandon and Michéllé could not have been more accommodating, they met us on our arrival and we’re so warm and welcoming to us. The house was just perfect and after a tour, left us to settle in. We popped to get groceries and got a tiny bit lost later that evening and Brandon and Michéllé even came to find us to help us get back to the house (which was only 2 minutes away but in our defence it was very dark and we were extremely tired ☺️ non the less they were super kind and we really appreciated it). The location was gorgeous and our list of recommendations of places to eat and go to were fab. When our friends arrived, they were equally impressed, the kids hardly left the pool. Thank you so much, we will definitely be rebooking in the future 💕

Bretonisches Haus mit Mega-Garten

Edward bzw.

Hi there potential guests! I’m Edward, an American from Charleston, South Carolina. I began my life in Brittany at age 16 for a scholar exchange and 35 years later I’m still here, having fallen in love with the Breton coast and its peculiar, quirky inhabitants. The colors in the sky at sunset here are truly stunning as Paul Gaugin discovered in his amazing paintings of the Brittany coast and the beautiful Breton women with their fantastic, iconic headdresses! I am convinced that you will be seduced by the same charm and beauty here.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

I bought a 17th-century water mill just 600 meters from this great property in 1996. My parents fell in love with the house and its two hectares(6 acres) of 70-year mature botanical gardens in 2001. They gutted out and renovated the longere and hired(by necessity) a year round gardener to help with the rare, exotic plants and trees. You will be amazed at the variety and beauty of the gardens. One of only a handful of truly botanical private gardens in the region!

この宿泊施設の特徴

The grand stone cottage is lovely year round but the garden changes color with every new season. Spring and Summer are the highlights of course. We started letting the property a few years ago after my father passed. My Mom knew it was criminal and selfish not to share such beauty with others.
