The lane is 1/2 mile long. Continue until you arrive at the Bungalow. The lane can be a mess due to spring rains, thawing and freezing. Also, there can be mosquitoes and bugs. We are in the country so you may see some “farm charm” fencing can be electric so don’t touch, farm equipment. You may hear farm noise or country sounds, owls hooting, coyotes yapping.

Wonderfully secluded

We were very happy to find this serene getaway, remote enough to feel like we were away from the busy daily life, but with dining and other options close enough to meet our needs. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly, offering assistance with anything and everything we needed. Any of their three cabinns would be a great place to get away.

I had a lovely solo-retreat in this well-appointed, stylish, warm abode. Nice little touches, very responsive hostess, great tips about hiking trails, comfortable accommodations. All great things to say about my stay!

A quiet and relaxing gem

What a great find. Quiet, relaxing, tons of extra's, nature, wild life, an escape from the busy world. Even the extra breakfast box for 40 and cinnemon rolls were worth it. A must stay at least once in everyones life.

Just perfect!

The planning and work that went into the Bungalow was so incredibly evident. I don't have a bad thing to say about it. Was bright and welcoming, updated, plenty of room for me and comfy. The amenities were great too, the owners thought of everything.Fresh cinnamon rolls, snack basket, coffee, toiletries, you name it. It was like being at home.

Peace and quiet away from it all.

Such a wonderful weekend in a beautiful little Bungalow! It was just what we needed. A very welcoming, clean, bright and comfortable place away from it all. Our hosts were wonderful and friendly. The bungalow had everything we needed and we are already planning to return.

A Relaxing Retreat

I have stayed at many rental properties and this one stands out! It was located in such a quiet relaxing and private atmosphere, that I spent more time at the bungalow than planned. The kitchen and grill were fully equipped to make a meal, yet several good restaurants were only a 15 min drive away as well. The hosts were incredibly nice, accessible, and accommodating. I will definitely be back again.

Mother's Day weekend 2021

The location, comfort, size, layout of bungalow, ease of booking and contact with hostess was absolutely SPOT ON!!! Got exactly what we needed; which was a close, stress-free, happy get-away that wouldn't break the bank! Dawn is talented in the art of anticipatory hospitality and has a beautiful layout to share with those who are blessed enough to come across this wonderful place!!! The property is very cute and cozy, and sits away from the road and at the edge of a forest. Great attention to detail in amenities and decor. Dawn was very accommodating and responded quickly via chat. Will likely return in the future.

Overnight at The Bungalow

Our (too short) overnight stay at The Bungalow was exactly what we were needing. A night away from it all. Peaceful and relaxing. Birdwatching, reading and wine make for a nice evening. The night sky was star filled. The unit was very clean and well thought out. Owners live on the property and seem to be available if you need anything.

Peaceful sanctuary!

This is the place to go when you need a peaceful retreat from life! Peaceful, clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable furniture, nicely maintained walking trails through the woods, a well stocked bird feeder…everything about this bungalow was perfect for our Mother/daughter retreat. While it is small, the interior feels quite spacious. Dawn and Virgil were warm, welcoming, and attentive. Every encounter with them was pleasant. We will definitely be back!

EXTREMELY Charming and Relaxing

Stayed for two nights for 10yr wedding anniversary. Absolutely everything was amazing. Place is extremely relaxing and quiet. Updated modern inside with perfectly decorated with refreshing houseplants and minimalist décor. Bird feeders and MI bird book provided for easy bird watching and salt lick for deer right outside window. Host provide homemade and fresh cinnamon rolls for our breakfast! So much charm and relaxing; didn't want to leave - was hard to return to "real word". Will return!!!

Absolutely loved the little get away

My husband and I stayed here while on a ski trip for his birthday and I am absolutely in love with this little cozy cabin! Modern and cute yet very functional! It had everything we needed and more! It was very well equipped! We loved the cinnamon rolls they left in front of the door on my husband’s birthday! We will definitely be going back here if we are ever in the area again! Getaway success!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just secluded enough, nice trails, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We certainly appreciated our host leaving us pumpkin chocolate chip muffins with a gorgeous butter rose! The extra touches provided meant we only needed to pack clothes and food for a quick getaway. Highly recommend this sweet little place!

Restful Recharge

Our stay far exceeded our expectations. The bungalow was spotless and cozy. It's tucked amongst the trees and we often sat and looked out the many windows at the natural beauty. We noted cardinals, hummingbirds, mourning doves, goldfinches, and sparrows. The location feels very private and quiet. We loved being able to spend time cooking meals together instead of eating out, and were delighted by all the details provided in the kitchen. Dawn is a gracious and thoughtful hostess. Highly recommend!

Raising a family of 11 children and now loving all their spouses and all 39 grandchildren and 1 great grandbaby.
