120 steps to the Gulf takes 1.5 minutes through private beach access! Barefoot Bungalow has amazing ocean views while spotting dolphins from the porch or playing cards with the family in the kitchen. At 2000 sq ft, guests can relax and unwind in comfort. High speed internet and Dish on 5 flat screen TV's help families stay connected. Guests should take advantage of deep-sea fishing, local restaurants, a quick bike ride to ice cream and even golf along the Gulf. We hope you enjoy our home!

Barefoot Bungalow has 2 desks for working or virtual school, lamps in the bedrooms have USB ports for charging devices, a charcoal grill, a loft area that can be a cozy reading nook or place to play games, a large front porch that also wraps around the side with ocean views, a pack and play and booster seat available for our favorite little guests, family board games and books, a DVD player to watch movies, a fully stocked kitchen, 8 bicycles, and finally bath towels, beach towels, and sheets are included. We also have sand toys and beach chairs for your time at the beach. Our driveway holds a maximum of 4 vehicles and parking on the street is prohibited.

We absolutely love the island, Barefoot Bungalow had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, the rooms are spacious. The house is gorgeous we loved sitting on the porch and watching the waves come in this was the second time we stayed at Barefoot Bungalow and absolutely loved it.The host go above and beyond to make your stay complete.

This was our second time staying and both time the host was attentive and welcoming. The house has everything you need and you just feel at home. Love the views from the porch and just steps to the beach. Very peaceful and relaxing place to be.

We loved the view of the sunset and sunrise from the porch.. The Access to the beach was great. Thank you for opening your home for everyone to enjoy. I hope to be back soon. We had such a great time unfortunately we didn't get many pictures.

Great location, lots of open space for gathering with a large group. The kitchen is well equipped. We loved the ability to all sit on the porch together and see/hear the water. Easy access to the beach and lots of beach toys for kids and some chairs for the adults to enjoy. We would definitely stay again. Carla was great!

We had the best time! Beautiful area to stay and so close to the beach. Ideal for our family with young kids. The house was spacious and perfect for our big family. I enjoyed coffee on the deck in the mornings with a view of the ocean The home felt clean and we will definitely come back again!Pirates bar and grill was our favorite local restaurant.

Beautiful home close to the beach! Spacious, comfy, loaded with everything you need- tons of storage. This was our first year on the island & we loved it. We are already looking at next years dates! Owners are helpful & respond quickly! Our only suggestion is maybe another fridge, even a mini fridge. Our family of 11 had a heard time putting a week’s worth of food in fridge. Haha!

Fantastic!

This house is wonderful! The best part is the view. You can see and hear the ocean from the porch, kitchen table while eating, and family room while watching TV. It makes it still feel like you’re on a special vacation even when you’re back at the house. The rockers and side tables on the porch are a perfect touch for sitting outside. The walk to the beach is easy with the paved street and a short clear sandy path of sand. The house is well stocked for all types of cooking. The beds are all comfortable and linens were clean. The towels are soft and in good condition. The house was clean and smelled good. There are so many extras in the house like beach towels, blankets, fans, games, and night lights. A lot of extra consumables were provided as well which was a very kind bonus. Communication with the owners was always easy with a quick and polite response. I loved this house and would recommend it to anyone!

Amazing hosts! Lots of space, very clean and comfortable. Often times beach houses smell musty and moldy this place smells great. They have everything you need for the littles. Highly recommend!

Nice location

Very nice location! Very short walk to the beach.We had really wonderful weather! Place is a little dated but nice! Perfect for four legged children as well!

Great location! The house was well supplied with everything we needed. Clear instructions were written out on how to use the TVs and the thermostat. Easy entry and lots of beach stuff in the shed.

Loved It!

We loved our time at Barefoot Bungalow! The view from the deck SPECTACULAR! The house is exactly as described. It was exceptionally clean, with a very well stocked kitchen, open living areas with plenty of space, and comfy beds. The location is wonderful. Just steps from the private beach and walking distance from many Island venues. Carla and Jason are fabulous hosts who respond promptly to any questions. Also, they have provided extras to add to your stay such as, beach towels, beach chairs & toys, games, etc. I would highly recommend staying at Barefoot Bungalow.

Awesome!

We loved the Barefoot Bungalow! If you are looking for a wonderful house on a quiet stretch of beach - this is the place! We loved that it was dog friendly but there was no evidence of dogs - best of all worlds! Great beach get away - even in January!

We have moved all over the country the last 21 years and have settled in Olive Branch, MS. We experienced Dauphin Island a couple of years ago and instantly fell in love with the small beach town. We were so excited when the opportunity presented itself for us to purchase a Gulf Front home on the island. We have a 12 and 15 year old daughters who are active in sports and love biking all over the island. Our dogs, Wrigley and Frank, love to sunbathe on the deck, watch pelicans, and splash in the ocean (with a leash on, of course)

This home give us time away from our everyday life to unplug and enjoy our time together. We all enjoy swimming, beach volleyball, biking, and walking through the bird sanctuary.
