Welcome to our lakefront retreat on semi-private Pickerel Lake, offering 65 feet of private lake frontage. This spacious home features 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room with an electric fireplace, a game room, and two outdoor decks. Outside, enjoy a hot tub, a fire pit with seating, patio furniture, and a propane grill. Water lovers can take advantage of the included pedal boat, 2 kayaks, and an electric motor boat for fishing. Guests are also welcome to bring their own pontoon or jet ski and dock it on-site. A public boat launch is nearby on the east side of the lake (S Ave).

The home sleeps up to 12 guests comfortably. On the main floor, there’s one bedroom with a queen bed featuring a green tea memory foam mattress. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king bed, futon, and a private deck with lake views. Also upstairs are two more bedrooms with queen beds, and a fifth bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk bed. Three of the bedrooms are equipped with smart TVs.

The property is located just 15 minutes from Portage and 25 minutes from Kalamazoo, with nearby attractions like Ramona Park and Air Park offering family-friendly activities. The house uses well water, which is safe to use, and there's also a water dispenser in the kitchen for your convenience.

For security, there are two outdoor cameras — one facing the driveway and one on the side of the house. These cameras are never monitored during guest stays and are only reviewed in the event of an incident at the property. They are primarily in place to protect the home when it is unoccupied.

This is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the lake, and spend quality time with family and friends in a peaceful setting.

House was very clean, rooms comfortable, and all matched the property description. Location was great, right on the lake front, and kayaks, boat provided fun on the lake! Host provided most of the items we required for the stay.

Great place to getaway

We had a wonderful time at this house for Memorial Day weekend. Outside is wonderful. Loved the paddle boat and the kayaks, and the kids were able to catch so many fish off the pier. Great deck and hot tub also.

Wrestling weekend

The location was perfect for our stay with kids wrestling at Wings Event Center. The large yard and hot tub were the perfect place to relax after a long day in the arena.

Great place to stay!

We had a great time here! It had everything that we needed for my sisters and I for our girls weekend! The owner was very quick to respond and offer help when needed. If the weather had cooperated and we could’ve used the outdoor area it would’ve been perfect!

Spring Golf Trip

Hosts excellent communication and very welcoming with use of house and amenities. Good price point. Had everything our party needed for the four-day stay. Excellent backyard setting. Best grill I have ever seen. Huge and clean. Would love to return in the future.

Ski Trip

Nice place to stay. Visited Air Zoo and went to ski at Timber Ridge and Bitter Sweet. Not to far away from any of these places.

Wrestling weekend

We were in town for my nephew’s wrestling tournament. While we didn’t get to hang out at the house much, the beds were comfortable and the hot tub was great for relaxing after a long day. We hope to come back when the weather is nicer to enjoy the lake.

Wonderful house on lake

My family came to town for my sons wedding. This house was the most wonderful place. We had very comfy beds, kitchen was so nice and big. Living room area was very nice also. We made lots of great memories. Its a very nice home. I wish it was a little warmer out cuz we would have totally enjoyed the outside and the lake. I will be coming back again. You wont be disappointed.

Very nice lake property.

This is a very nice lake home, and the host is awesome! We were called to the area for a family funeral, not the greatest circumstances. While there, the host did everything in her power to make the stay pleasant. We are extremely grateful, it made the whole experience much easier! There were a couple of small issues, but the host/owner were quick to handle things. Great people to work with. Hopefully we'll be able to return under better family conditions.

The house was great, plenty of room. The kids had a great time with the air hockey/pool table. Was a little disappointed with the lake, thought there was more sand for the kids to dig in. You couldn't walk right into the water to play, bottom was too soft and weedy. Fort Custer recreation area and Ramona Park were nice but we were looking for a property where we could walk right down to the water and play.

Kids had fun

Weather was cold and rainy, but the kids found plenty to do. Game table got used a lot, as well as hot tub, fishing off the dock, and the firepit. Very spacious house. Only concerns were some of the tiles in the kitchen/dining area protruded and toes were stubbed. Safety rail at top of the stairs was wobbly, which is a safety concern. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Price was reasonable.

Accurate and clean

The listing was accurate. The home was clean. The host was easy to communicate with. It was a very quite neighborhood. Even over the holiday weekend!! It's a good size for a multi-generational family. The kitchen was stocked better than other rental kitchens. My only complaint is the lack of "swimmability" in the lake. The bottom is very soft, and there are a lot of lily pads near the shore. We didn't feel comfortable swimming in that area, due to the amount of possible snakes that could be living among them. The only way out to the lake is through the lily pads, so unless you're on a boat, you can't access swimmable water. I know that there's not much to be done about this issue. I did speak with a neighbor that mentioned that this end of the lake gets the most lily pads each year and this year was worse than most. Maybe it's been better in past years and will be again in the future? So if you're looking for ease of swimming access, this one is not a good option. But if they can fix it, the remainder of the lake is pretty clean and nice to kayak on.

Great Long Weekend

Me and my friends stayed for a long weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was as pictured and clean. The beds were really comfortable, we enjoyed playing in the game room and loved that the hot tub had a speaker and bluetooth capabilities. We will definitely be back.

Lake house vacation

House was clean and accommodating. We enjoyed your kayak and paddle boat. Grilling out on the deck and jumping in the hot tub were nice in the evening. Ramona park beach was a highlight of our trip.

Spacious house with a lovely view

We really enjoyed the deck, which has shade much of the day, and a lovely view of the lake and sky. There is lots to do, from the game room to the hot tub, plus the kayaks and the paddle boat. We entertained friends and family and there was room for everyone to enjoy the great weather and a large kitchen for making meals.

Lake House Getaway

Everything about the property was great. The location was spacious and clean. The kitchen was stocked with condiments and ample cooking supplies. There was plenty to do in the area also. Contacting the owner was a breeze and he was very courteous. I will book this property the next chance I get!

Just what we needed

Lovely views, great wildlife, relaxing home. Only downside was there wasn't enough seating for 4 adults in the living room. We would definitely recommend this location to others.

Over all good stay!

We were alittle disappointed at first arriving. Lawn wasn’t mowed, and I thought place could have been a bit cleaner. I feel the cleaning lady could do a better job. But after a day of staying there my family and I were very comfortable. Beds were great for sleeping, house had everything for use to enjoy our vaca. Mabey I was being to picky at first?

Great experience

We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the lakehouse. The hot tub was a huge hit with my husband and kids. I really like the lazy style of the lake to paddle about on the kayak or my raft and quietness of the community. There were so many things to do in the area, including Ramona Park which was a great experience for relaxing in . If have kids, definitely check out the Air Park which offers a rope course, bowling, video games, climbing wall and more - my kids kept wanting to go back to it! We would recommend this house and location!

Me and my husband we live in Chicago area, we bought this house to enjoy the quite lake and relax on our care free days when we don't have to work. After sometime we noticed that we can't be there all the time so we decided to offer the relaxing setting to other people that need a time away from their busy lives. We just wanted to share our house and welcome anyone who wants to have a nice, relaxing vacation away from the city and all the noise.

The house sits on semi private Pickerel lake. The lake is all sports lake, you can go swimming, fishing, jet skiing, boating or do any other water activity. During winter the lake freezes and ice fishing is available. It is a quiet lake since there is no public beach. The lake is about 135 acres in size. It is approximately 10 feet deep at its deepest point. When fishing you can expect to catch variety of fish including Bluegill, Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike.
