Enjoy and relax in this refurbished lodge on the Carmel River. Expansive views from every window captures the river as it meanders in harmony with the redwoods, sycamores and the ducks that inhabit this natural setting.
The Lodge is only minutes from the charming village of Carmel Valley and 18 miles to from Carmel and Pebble Beach.
Perfect for a getaway from your busy schedule~The Lodge harkens back to time when life was less hectic. The Lodge has a kayak and water tubes to go down the river for your use and out the back door or just enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on the deck percheded above the river.

The perfect combo of a rustic cabin and updated amenities like kitchen and bath. Outdoor patios and spaces very welcoming. Location awesome! Not truly walking distance to the heart of the village but a great little road to get there for all the great eating spots, wineries, art. We loved it!

Tranquil retreat

What a beautiful and beautifully situated place this is. Bright, peaceful, quiet, and airy, this home was a lovely retreat for us during a busy wedding weekend. The home has plenty of space, lots of light, and a lovely, meandering riverside garden with wonderful terraces and decks overlooking the Carmel River. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, and the lovely bath products were a treat. And the location was perfect—6 minutes from the winery wedding venue! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Charming Rustic Getaway by Carmel River

We recently stayed at this rustic rental home by the river, and it was exactly what we needed for a quiet, nature-filled escape. The location is absolutely stunning—tucked away in a peaceful setting with the soothing sound of the river just steps away. Mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee and evenings by the fire pit were highlights of my stay.The host (Courtney) is so friendly and very supportive throughout the stay, always checking to see if we needed anything.The house is just a few minutes away from Carmel village, and we ate the juiciest strawberries and avocados for a quarter of the price in LA metro. Definitely a gem worth coming back for.

What a great place to get away and relax. From the young kids to the adults, we all loved the cabin and had a great time. Courtney is a great host and communicates very well.

Loved every second at this beautiful rental!

We loved vacationing here! Wife and I enjoyed the river and had a blast! The beds are really comfortable and the kitchen has everything you’ll need to make delicious food. The host is very professional and just a really nice person. We can’t wait to go back

The perfect location for a relaxing getaway!

We had a girls' getaway at The Lodge. It was the perfect setting for relaxing and catching up with a glass of wine by the river. The house was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The scenery was beautiful and there was tons of out space for enjoying the view of the river which is right at the back door. The host was available for any questions that came up and even sent some great suggestions for local spots to visit during our stay. We are definitely planning to return to The Lodge!

Quick family getaway

Loved the property, the river was gorgeous. Close to everything, Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur. We did it all in just a few days and wished we had more time to chill at the actual property. We will be back!

Amazing Property and Host

Perfect! Our group of four had an amazing time at this beautiful property. It’s obvious that Courtney puts her heart and soul into making sure that her guests have an amazing stay in her picturesque hideaway. Courtney began communicating ideas for our trip long before we arrived. Her thoughtful suggestions were spot-on and added value to our vacation. We will definitely return!

David is correct… my fix guy was sent over immediately to correct The stopped sink. It took 5 minutes to remove the food scraps.

Mountain Haven found!

Phenomenal stay! If you want to get away from it all this is your place! Don't miss out! Anytime you can bring the kids and throw them in the river, which is in your backyard, see deer while having coffee and be surrounded by bird calls it's a haven and a memory builder at the same time. This place is beautiful and Courtney is so welcoming and attentive. My family won't ever forget this stay.

Right on river

It was a really nice getaway for 4 adults. The river was high so we could not kayak, but would love to come back. It was a little chilly, but we all still enjoyed the view with the fireplace. It was not far from Big Sur - that is what we were looking for. Host was great!

Beautiful and quiet riverfront property in a charming neighborhood. The kids played all day on the kayak and floating on inner tubes. The remodeled kitchen was perfect for making big communal meals, which we enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the Carmel River. The host, Courtney, did a beautiful job furnishing the house with curious antiques and knick-knacks. It was such a lovely and relaxing vacation.

Absolutely Beautiful!

I have stayed at all sorts of beautiful vacation rentals in amazing areas, and this is the only one that I have ever wanted to revisit. The cabin, charming, I loved the decor, rustic elegance is what comes to mind. So many fun details. The house was completely stocked with everything. The property manager was very responsive and accommodating. You couldn't ask for a better host. The location and property simply magical. I can't wait to go back.

Great spot!

Along the river, beautiful scenery, the doors are tough to open but just have to push harder. The bunk room is in a shed outside. The VRBO is FULLY stocked! All supplies, knives, cooking utensils, spices, ketchup, mustard, etc is there which is rare. The host is very responsive and provides recommendations to everything in the area. Our whole group was very happy with the location and house.
