Located on the Lake Morris Chain in Mt. Morris, Wisconsin, this lakefront home offers private waterfront access and a protected no-wake channel near the dock.

Just minutes from Wautoma in scenic Waushara County, where “Up North” begins, the setting combines calm water, easy boating, and spacious indoor living designed for time together.

LAKE LIFE ON THE LAKE MORRIS CHAIN

With direct access to the Lake Morris Chain, the calm water near the home is especially well suited for kayaking and paddle boarding. Launch right from the dock for a quiet morning paddle.

Just a few minutes away by channel, Emerald Lake offers a peaceful no-wake setting ideal for relaxed exploring and paddle sports.

The connected lakes provide excellent fishing and space for pontoon cruising. Full-recreation areas are available for tubing and time out on the water.

The private pier allows for convenient boat tie-up and easy dock fishing, with poles provided for kids. The gradual shoreline keeps swimming comfortable for families.

DECK & OUTDOOR LIVING

The south-facing deck overlooks the water and naturally becomes a central gathering space throughout the day.

There is room for morning coffee in the sun, outdoor meals at the table, and relaxed afternoons in the shade. The dining area comfortably seats six, with space to accommodate additional guests when needed.

Gas and charcoal grills make outdoor cooking simple. The deck connects easily to the yard and dock below, keeping the flow between house and water natural.

A lakeside fire pit provides another gathering spot in the evening. Firewood and marshmallow forks are provided, making it easy to end the day with s’mores as the lake settles into calm.

The interior is designed to comfortably support family gatherings, shared meals, and time together, with open space that keeps everyone connected.

Vaulted ceilings and knotty pine walls create a classic Northwoods atmosphere. The open layout provides room for cooking, dining, playing games, and relaxing without feeling crowded.

The home is located in Mt. Morris on the Lake Morris Chain, just minutes from Wautoma and Wild Rose in Waushara County, Wisconsin.

Wautoma offers small-town dining, local shops, and seasonal events such as AugustFest and the Waushara County Fair.

Wild Rose is known for its State Fish Hatchery and access to the Pine River. The nearby White River Marsh and Ice Age National Scenic Trail provide additional opportunities for hiking and exploring central Wisconsin’s landscape.

We had an amazing stay at this home in Mount Morris! The community is welcoming, the home had everything we needed, and the lake is absolutely beautiful. We loved being on the quiet inlet, it was peaceful and perfect for relaxing. It’s an ideal spot for families of all ages. The kids had a blast fishing; there were plenty of bluegill and they were easy to catch, so every child was able to reel in some fish. Family Vacation

This property was a prefect stay for a family getaway vacation. Little to no reception to unplug from phones but excellent wifi if you still needed to stay connected. The owners were fantastic and really display Wisconsin/ Midwestern hospitality. We were looking for a lakefront rental and feel like we made some acquaintance friends in the process.

Morris family vacation

Wonderful Lake House Getaway

The Lake House is perfect - just as advertised - with plenty of room for a family of 4+. There is a swimming area for small children, and it's close to the county park/beach. It's a peaceful location with lake access. Peggy and Steve are helpful and responsive to questions. I highly recommend this Lake House as a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

The last few summers we have stayed in more rustic cabins in the area, but this property spoiled us in the best way! Lake Life all the amenities you could ask for a fantastic family vacation that went by much too quickly. The lake house was very spacious and inviting, with plenty of seating/table options for dining inside or out and playing family games. We enjoyed time around a campfire multiple nights & grilling out as well.Having use of the included paddle boards, kayaks & fishing poles kept any complaints of “I’m bored” from our kids at bay. The Wi-Fi access was an added bonus, as none of us had great cell reception - and we utilized the Roku TV a bit.For us the location couldn’t have been better. Our favorite beach for relaxing/swimming is Little Silver Lake, and it was less than a 10 minute drive from Mount Morris. All-in-all we were very impressed with the rental and hope to be back again in the future!

Lovely Property, Lake Just ok

Beautiful property, fully stocked with everything you could need. Very clean and very attentive host. The lake is clean with nice bottom but quite small, as are the other on the chain. The 1/2 bath is not quite a 1/2 bath.

Beautiful Lake House

Communication before check-in was thorough and prompt. We arrived and had a very easy check in. The house was tidy and the landscaping/beach well tended to. The location on channel right next to lake is so peaceful with no wake rules (lake area allows wake 10am-5pm), but you can also see the people as they pass by on their pontoons. Boathouse is stocked with fishing/swimming/floating/lazing supplies. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return.

Beautiful, peaceful cabin

Absolutely loved this cabin for my young family. We have 2 children (ages 3 and 5) and we found this cabin to be perfect for them. It had a smooth, paved walkway to the water, easy entry to the lake, shallow water (my 5 year old could touch until nearly the end of the pier), sandy area to play, lots of small pan fish under the dock, owners provided baby gates, and the set up of the house was perfect for kids. My boys also loved having various floaties, kayaks/SUP and sand toys to play with (all provided in the exterior shed). The owners were very responsive to emails and texts. Lovely to work with. We would highly recommend this to any family, especially those with young children. Town wasn’t very big but we did enjoy Bird Creek Park (playground + splash pad). Only “con” was the checkout process. I don’t mind cleaning whatsoever, but we did have to clean-clean after ourselves (cleaning the tub, toilet, vanity/mirror, vacuum, haul trash to waste site, etc.) For us it was minor but just not something I was used to. Will definitely stay again!

Extremely clean and well cared for property. Just as described. Owners were easy to work with. Location is great with lots of trees. It is a bit of a drive to get anywhere but the drives were very scenic.

Great quiet lake property

The house was comfortable and supplied sand toys, noodles, canoe, paddle board and kayaks. Worked well for our family of 6 and still worked when our oldest daughter’s family visited with children ages 8 months to 6 years.

Looking for your forever lake rental? This is it!

Clean, great location, all the stuff you usually have to pack is already there! Games puzzles eclectic book collection laundry chairs firewood more than enough deck and lawn chairs pillows blankets bedding towels kitchen and bath the air conditioning worked great but there were also fans if needed, I could go on and on and on but there's just like everything you would want all provided. Beautiful lake, clean sand, hard bottom, no muck. Food, bar 2 minutes away with ice cream and coffee shop next door. Public park with pavilions, rest rooms, jungle gym, and a great sand beach also with roped off area to swim and boat launch there also. And again I repeat 2 minutes away from the cabin!

Wonderful week at the lake

My husband and I took our three kids ages 10, 7 and 2 along with my mother for a week long vacation. This home was absolutely wonderful. It has just about anything you could want! We kayaked on the lakes, kids swam for hours. Fishing poles were provided in the boathouse so all we needed was bait. The owners were very easy to get a hold of and a pleasure to deal with. I would reccommend this home to anyone, you wont be disappointed.

Great Lake House

We loved this place! It has it all-swimming, peddle boat, SUP, kayaks and fishing. This is a very nice lake house located in a great spot. Perfect place to relax and enjoy quality family time rain or shine. The hosts were great.

Adorable and cozy cottage

The cottage was adorable and I loved diving into the history of it. The weather wasn't on our side unfortunately so we were only able to go out on the the water got one day. But we still enjoyed using the kayaks and the lake was peaceful. We spent most of our time relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet we don't often get in the city. And we especially appreciated the many options in games to play. We were a little surprised by how close there nearby houses were. We were under the impression that the cottage would be a little more secluded. But the neighboring cabins were pretty much vacant for the most part of our stay so we can't complain. Would love to come back, hopefully when there's better, warmer weather.

We love visiting our lake house for pure relaxation, waterfront views and recreation. This part of the state is still relatively undiscovered, so it's like going up North without the drive and crowds. The home is very comfortable for family gatherings. It's located on a wonderful chain of lakes, with an ideal combination of no-wake and full-rec water fun. It's a properly insulated four season home for year-round comfort. The name "Hearthstone Place" reflects the values of home life and a place to gather around.

Views of the lake are wonderful. Facing South, the deck is canopied by mature hardwood trees with sun in the morning and cool shade during the day. The variety of birds you can see is surprising, ranging from hummingbirds to bald eagles. Its lake front location delivers the best of two worlds. The beach is on a quiet no-wake section of the lake, with easy access to the full-rec section of the lake by boat to enjoy tubing and water skiing. The no-wake section of the lake in front of the property is great for paddle sport activities any time of day. The beach is sandy and firm with clear water for swimming. The property is located adjacent to Mt. Morris County Park and Nordic Mountain providing easy access to hiking and mountain biking trails, winter skiing, and tubing.
