- 1/2 mile to Clearwater Marina whose address is 2029 Baron Dekalb Rd, Camden SC (for a roundabout location of our rentals);
- 5 mins to Wateree Recreational Area & Dollar General (a very good one) that will have what you forgot;
- 4 miles to Wateree Marina (largest area marina);
- 10 mins to Bear's Den (waterfront bar) & Dock 97 (upscale lakefront dining);
- 15 mins to Carolina Cup, Colonial Cup Horse Races & Springdale Race Course;
- 12 miles to downtown Camden: Less than 20 mins to Wal-Mart, Starbucks, Chic-fil-A & upscale dining at Sam Kendall's, Broad & Vine (winery) and Salud Mexican Kitchen;
- 30 mins to South Carolina Equine Park Facility, Carolina Motorsports Park & HOTH Ranch;

LAKE WATEREE: Over 20 square miles and 200 miles of shoreline! Typically a beach-entry type lake depending on the water levels. We also overlook one of Wateree's islands, are in a cove and no, there are no alligators this far north (Floridians always ask).

THE EXTRAS:

- Contactless Entry: Arrive to a clean home and an access code to the front door. Help is just a phone call, text or message away as we have both a co-host and a property manager available for questions and/or needs.
- We do not approve extra visitors or events without permission.
- $50/dog & no cats. More than one dog requires approval.
- Cancellations: In addition to our cancellation policy, if you were to cancel last-minute AND we were able to rebook, we will refund what the next group pays to you! We have no interest in getting paid twice, just being made whole off your last-minute cancellation.
- Guests have full access to the cabin, a private dock and a shared boat ramp. Welcome to "Lake Wateree Vacations!"

FUN FACT: Every dock in SC is shared with any party that arrives via boat. Anyone can legally fish from any dock so having a shared doc is technically every dock. Come enjoy the sunset side of Lake Wateree!

Property was nice. View of the lake was good. Parking with a boat trailer was a bit tight but we made it work. I will rent again if we have tournaments there.

We had my bachelorette trip here and it was so fun!! The home and view is so much more beautiful in person. The lake felt good and the home was stocked with essentials! Would love to come here again.

The swim area was great and dock! The house needs upgrade on pillows and and the pull out sofa bed wasnt even comfortable for a little kid! Porch needs upgrade on cushions! Location was great! No where for a family to sit and eat a meal together

Location and setting was outstanding. Owner was great to work with, quick responses meeting all our requests. House size was small with step down in hall - reason for overall rating of 4 stars.Enjoyed our short stay.

We came in March 2025 and the pictures on VRBO were great but once there wasn’t the same. Not enough chairs for outside or inside seating. Place was not clean. Refrigerator missing handle.

Beautiful!!

This cottage is perfect and has an incredible location! It was clean and cozy, we loved all the windows overlooking the lake. The host/property manager were very attentive and helpful, more so than many places we have stayed! Loved Kayaking and spending so much time on the porch. Thank you for an amazing stay! We will be back!

nice location

The house was perfect in location and the property manager was very helpful when we requested additional paper towels and TP. We checked early and the cleaner wasn't finished, but was very nice. If you bring a boat, be aware that it is difficult to turn around and back your boat in. There is a private ramp very close which was very nice to use.

Updated Lake House

This outdoor space is amazing!!!! I loved having all the room to just fish or swim, & the sunsets were absolutely stunning!!! House was beautiful & very well cleaned before arrival! The only things was the 3rd bedroom is a twin bed with a trundle bed. (It is noted in description of listing, I just missed that part.) However, the teen boys were fine sharing this room and we all enjoyed our time together. I’m glad we picked here for our first visit to Lake Wateree! Thanks for having us!

Book it!

We just returned from our 5 night stay. We had such a wonderful time! This property is exactly as pictured, simple and perfect. We enjoyed each morning sipping coffee on the deck. We had a blast fishing at the lake which is only a few short steps away. If you are looking for a cute, comfortable, peaceful place to stay on the lake -look no further!!

We had a great time staying here! The communication from management was very friendly and quick/responsive. The instructions for check in and out were easy to follow. The roads around this house were not busy at all; the part of the lake it is on was also not overly busy. We heard fairly constant motor noise but it was Labor Day weekend and being in this little cove made it distant and therefore not very loud. Neighbors were friendly and there was always some kind of activity to see from our bank/dock. The kitchen had a good selection of mugs, glasses, dishes, and pots/pans/baking sheets. There were K-Cup coffees and teas provided. The porch was very big and covered, but not screened in. That made for better views, and there were surprisingly few bugs around the house and lake anyways. We went to several stores and restaurants nearby as well as a little grill/bait shop at a very close-by boat ramp. We arrived just as some live acoustic music had finished. There is no ladder on the dock and a rocky bank/wall for pretty much the width of the lot. Easy enough to walk out from swimming, but I could see that being a hindrance to launching/beaching kayaks, which we did not try to do this time. Overall this was a very great house with lots of character and charm!

Adorable, great location, perfect rental!

I cannot say enough nice things about this cute house! There is tons of space and privacy, a beautiful dock in the best cove on the lake, absolutely adorable interior and a GREAT back porch with a view of Lake Wateree. We are already picking dates for our next trip. The owners and the rental manager are so nice and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful Memorial Day week!!! We can’t wait to come back! Plenty of room for a crowd!!!

Pet-Friendly Go To

Nice little cabin…our new “go to” now that we have a pooch in the family. It is small but the space is used well, there’s been some nice remodeling and everything works as it should. Great new dock so it was super easy to use our boat. The fire pit and 2 kayaks were also nice to have & use. Not negatives but a couple of things worth mentioning for future guests. First, if you plan to trailer a boat down, we would advise taking it to landing first and NOT down to the cabin. Turning around was not an easy process even with our modest 18’ foot boat. Second, there are cameras around the outside of the house. We understand the “why” of that but did not recall seeing it in the listing so it took a bit of getting used to. We’ll definitely consider staying again and would absolutely recommend it.

Loved this rental! Would be great for a family stay or a girls getaway. Loved that I could bring my dogs, the owner was very accommodating about me bringing my larger dog.

Wonderful Lake home

This nicely decorated lake home felt like home everything that you could need for a nice family vacation. I was pleasently surprised at the decor and cleanliness of this home and it was fully stocked with all of the essentials the sunsets were amazing!

Weekend trip

Just returned home from a long weekend at Lake Wateree. This cottage was perfect for our familyof 3, it was just as described. The home was nicely renovated, beds were comfortable.We spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the lake. Fishing was great off the dock, my son was out there all day catching catfish and bream. The location was quiet, perfect for floating on inner tubes. We're already planning to stay again this fall

Hidden gem

We had the absolute best time here! 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths comfortably accommodated our 8 guests. Kayaks for use out back and we rented a pontoon from the marina to use during our stay. Super fun trip! Will def be back!

Perfect get away

The place was beautiful, manager was very responsive, and our family had a great time. The only suggestion I have would be to add a ladder to the dock. Great place!

We absolutely loved this place

I cant say enough good stuff about this property. The house was perfect and so clean. The property, house, and lake view are beautiful. The landing is right around the corner from the house which was so convenient. We will definitely go back again.
