Looks much larger in the pictures, very nice owner, cleanly, but beds are terrible…need upgraded! Our backs hurt terrible!

Great property!

My family and I stayed here a second time in the off-season. It’s a nice property, clean and perfect for a group. The owner is very responsive and nice to work with. We will definitely stay here again!

Sea isle getaway

Nice stay at sea isle in the off season. Great location right near the beach! Contacting the owner was easy and he was very responsive to questions. Wish there was a comfier couch in the main area, as there was a futon which I believe can also be used as a bed? All in all a great stay for the price even in the off season. Thank you!

Great beach location

We thoroughly enjoyed Sea Isle City and the location of the rental. The pictures of the rental are a bit misleading. The unit we had was literally the basement of the house so there was no outside porch but the screened in latice basement of the house. The interior was very nicely renovated for a basement. The pictures of the inside are accurate. The sofa is a very uncomfortable futon. I placed a sheet over it because the material was not comfortable. The blue chair in the pic is the only chair other than two fold up chairs. Speaking of sheets, there is no indication on the site that you need to bring your own sheets and towels. I received an email (after the booking and cancellation was allowed without a refund) a few days before our trip informing us that we needed to bring our own sheets and towels. This means also kitchen towels which I never gave a thought so we used paper towels for kitchen cleanup. The toaster mentioned in the amenities was a toaster oven that was gross. We have been using VRBO to book our visits in many states and all provided sheets and towels. W e found the posting of this property a bit misleading.

Beautiful shore getaway

This adorable apartment was perfect for my quick trip “home” to the jersey shore. Cozy and comfortable! Even though it rained, the porch saved the trip!

Perfect location to attend Wedding at Abby Estates.

My family stayed here for a few days in November 2021 to attend a family wedding at the Abby Estate. It was a block from the beach and the accomadations were perfect for our family. Everything was as described and and the host was great at communcating with me. We will defiately be staying here again.

Fabulous!

Amazing host! Kind, accommodating and flexible! We rented both floors for all our family attending our sons wedding. We had family celebrations and games on the beach. It couldn’t have been more perfect!. Great rental!!!

Great location and rental

This was the perfect location for a me and a few friends to spend the weekend in town for a wedding. The hosts were very responsive when we needed things and the house was very clean!

The location was perfect, the short walk to the beach was stress free even with little ones in tow.

Nice place in a great location!

Working with the owner was great! The place is bigger then you would normally get for the price, quiet (even being on Landis) and in a great location. Plenty of space for sleeping and hanging out. The porch was a nice addition. No ocean views but the breeze was nice and the privacy was great. The walk to the beach was super quick. I would definitely stay here again!

Hi! I'm Ben!
Along with my mom, Pam, we are the owners of The Sand Castle--An old Victorian style beach house built in 1910 (seriously!!). Growing up, my mom would take my sister and I to Sea Isle City for one week a summer to stay with her aunt who lived on island for the better part of 50 years. In 1994, my mom was driving down Landis Ave and drove by our house. She wasn't even really looking to purchase a shore home but something made her stop and peer in through the windows. She had a showing with the realtor within an hour and the house was ours a week later. All of my summer memories growing up are built around that house and I hope one day my children will build their own memories around The Sand Castle.

When we purchased this house in 1994, the previous owners--an older couple looking to downsize in their retirement years--had converted the bottom floor into their own unique apartment. Some 12 years later, Hurricane Sandy flooded the apartment with almost 4 feet of water. The resulting damage left us with the tough decision to gut the whole apartment and rebuild it with a much more modern feel while still retaining the charming aspects of a small family vacation home. We took out some walls, opened up the space, and extended the wrap around porch to make an incredibly comfortable living and sleeping space for the smaller family vacation home.
