Erie View Lakehouse - Serene and Spacious

Whether it is after a day of touring Essex County's Epic Wine Route, spending the day at the private beach just steps away, or exploring the abundance of nature as you hike or bike the nearby conservation areas, Erie View Lakehouse is just the place to come back to to unwind. Choose between sitting in front of the fireplace in the great room, outside on the large deck, around the firepit, or inside the screened in porch. Regardless, the view is spectacular!

Come, decompress, reset, and enjoy.

Levergood Lane is an extremely private and exclusive small neighbourhood of only ten homes. This is why we are always particular about the number of registered guests. A true spot to get away from it all!

Minutes before you reach your destination of tranquility, you will pass an alpaca farm on your left. Who would have thought?

For our bird watching and nature enthusiasts, protected wetlands offer you a view of the multitude of wildlife and birds that migrate and have found their homes here.

Nestled between two beaches, one walk along the beach takes you to a conservation area and the other walk along the beach takes you to a winery.

Erie View Lakehouse is 10 minutes to the beautiful historic Town of Amherstburg and 15 minutes to Harrow; a town of little shops and agricultural finds. Drive another 25 minutes from Harrow and you are in the lovely town of Kingsville where you find delicious eateries.

For our wine enthusiasts and beer sommeliers, there are a number of wineries for you to stop along the way as well as up and coming breweries.

Destination spots are to be found all along your Lake Erie coastal drive.

It was an amazing weekend at this perfect getaway! My friends and family and I stayed here for my wedding weekend and it was the perfect Airbnb that surpassed our expectations. Beautiful location, beautiful view and beautiful stay. We even were lucky to do our first look on the dock, which made our day even more special.

A group of friends stayed here while attending a wedding just down the road at Sprucewood Shores Winery. Clean comfortable, and right on the water- it was lovely!

Weekend get away with friends.

A group of 4 couples got together for a weekend of friendship, fun and wine tours. The lake front location is relaxing and the cottage has everything you need for a get-away. The hosts responded promptly when notified and the weekend went as planned. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property in a beautiful spot

The house is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The location can't be beat - even on foggy winter days! I can only imagine it in the summer! Sonia and Paul were very easy to deal with and extremely kind and flexible when our travel plans for moved due to weather. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Stay

Beautiful house right on the lake. Listing very accurate. My friends and I had a great weekend getaway. Sat by the fire outside the first night. Rainy all day Saturday but we found a wine tasting tour with a great tour guide. If you don’t want to drive there are no driving services in the area which is the only negative.

Nice Place

We really enjoyed staying here, the house was beautiful and clean and had great amenities provided. I was contacted by the owners partway into my stay asking me to clarify how many guests I had in the because they saw car traffic on the cameras outside the house. I thought this was weird. Besides that, would recommend.

Wonderful time away from the chaos of everyday life!

Very easy communication and response time to questions was fantastic! The house was wonderful and they had everything we needed. If I had one thing I would suggest that would be a ladder off the dock. We could not enjoy the water because of not being able to get down the rocks.

Absolutely fabulous

It’s not often that photos don’t do a listing justice, most of the time photos are the best shots at just the right time to make a place look idyllic. Not this place. It is a truly gorgeous home away from home, with a stunning view of the water. I can’t even count the number of times we said “what an amazing find” or “we’re so lucky to have found this place!” Communication was excellent at every turn. We had an issue come up with the washing machine and it was handled promptly. The hosts were lovely to talk with. Amherstburg is also so adorable. Can’t say enough good things. It was the perfect location for a getaway for 5 adults and 3 kids. Loved every minute!

A Great View with Perspective

Overall impression was very good. The house has been remodeled and provides more than adequate comforts for a family. Larger families may find the house 1/2 half bath short of what you need, but with a little patience and perspective you'll get by. We also find the road signage "boorish" in that one or more neighbors are obsessed with policy speed (e.g. slow down to 15km/hr or else), but again with a little patience and perspective you'll get over it. The view of Lake Erie is incredible and this house presents it directly to you the way you'd want it. We also found the water itself very clean and refreshing in the month of September. Lastly the location of this house places vacationers next to all of the best things in the area (wineries, restaurants and small / boutique like townships). We sincerely loved our stay here and we're already thinking ahead to our next trip!

Rest, Relax and Enjoy

This is a beautiful home away from home. The house is set on a beautiful lot overlooking Lake Erie. The home is exactly like the pictures. Four nice size bedrooms, 2 beautiful bathrooms and a great kitchen. The table in the dining room is perfect for a larger group. We ate at the small table in the living room for breakfast enjoying the big window overlooking the lake. The kitchen has everything you need. You do need to plan your meals if you are eating in and bring the fixings. We also brought our favourite coffee pods for the Keurig. They have thought of everything!! We played Corn hole, darts, ping pong. The dock was a bit tricky to get on and off the paddle boards we brought. Need a bit of coordrination. There was seaweed that washed up with a storm on the Monday we arrived. It did get smelly depending on the wind but of no fault to the owners. The life of living on the lake. The bedrooms are all on the second floor and beautiful ceiling fans. The air kept the house nice and cool (with the help of the fans) even with the afternoon sun shining in. We had a very relaxing week and would definitely recommend this VRBO and stay there again!!! Thank you Sonia and Paul.

Stunning Lakeside Stay

Wonderful views, lots of birds and other wildlife, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and bright and cheery living and dining areas, enjoyable deck and backyard, right on the water, walking distance to the beach, and just a short drive to a number of amazing vineyards. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The views were incredible and location the the wineries was so convenient. We brought in a mobile spa service and it worked so well in this space. The owners provided all the info we needed and were very responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend this cottage!

The property was lovely, with fabulous views of the lake. The house was clean and well supplied with all the necessities. Unfortunately two of the beds were so uncomfortable that the persons who had them were unable to sleep much, and one of those persons was 31 weeks pregnant so this did mar the overall experience.

Beautiful property and great location.

Perfect fall getaway. So close to the wineries. Loved the decor. Immaculate and well equipped. The hosts were very attentive and accessible when we had questions. Bright and spacious inside, lots of seating outside. Garage games room was a bonus. Our gang had a ball.

Spacious, peaceful and relaxing!

We loved our stay at this home! The place was spotless. The owners even provided a bottle of wine and a coupon for a free wine tasting at the winery next door. The decor was fresh and peaceful and the kitchen was very well stocked with all the things most places are missing. Bbq tools, scissors, sharp paring knives, and good quality pans. Thank you! Our week was rainy, so we enjoyed the ping pong and darts they had in the garage.

Welcome! Our names are Sonia and Paul, and we have been a husband and wife team for 28 years. We are both born and raised in the area and have enjoyed exploring our beautiful southwestern piece of Ontario. We are active and love to cycle, run, kayak, and hike in nature. We enjoy exploring and finding those small local shops that offer so much. We also like to sit and relax, read, and chat and drink our espressos or glass of wine - depending on our mood! With those all in mind, that is the reason we became hosts - to share with you those same experiences while staying in our beautiful private lake house. Our priority is to always be readily available and provide as much information and assistance as possible. This is what we value when we are rental guests ourselves - that and a home away from home!
