シャーベアリトリートは、モンタナのNWコーナーのヤク川に沿った山々に囲まれています。 LibbyからYaak River Road [またはHwy 508]が見えるまでHwy 2 Westを進みます。 9マイル進み、 'SHABEAR WAY'で右折します。 わずかな丘の上に座っている大規模なログホームの前に引き上げるまで、長い車道を下り、[1/4マイル]前後に進みます。

This was a perfect place for a romatic honeymoon! Loved the close proximity to wilderness to explore, and the abundance of wildlife in the yard (we've never been so close to deer that werent the least bit concerned about us). This is a place we would love to return to in the spring or summer months.

Best Ever

We had the best time, especially the wildlife! Bucks, does, fawns, squirrels, rabbits! Deer and squirrels would feed from your hand! The cabin was so cozy and very well kept! RB was very knowledgable about the area to explore and very accommodating with the cabin. It is at the top of our list for a revisit

Excellent!

The hosts are wonderful, kind, respectful, fun and very obliging. The cabin is well equipped and had more amenities than we would ever need or want. The solitude and peace we experienced were beyond our expectations. The furry friends were an added bonus. This place is a 10+. Thank you RB & Sha for creating this little piece of tranquility.

Perfect September Getaway

At the last moment, we booked a 3-day stay at ShaBear cabin. The cabin is very comfortable, especially for two people. The main floor bed was very comfortable and the bedding was top notch. We didn't sleep on the bed on the loft. The living space, while small, is very well planned. On demand hot water for showers was appreciated. The Keurig coffee machine was amazing. We loved the rockers on the front porch to have our morning coffee. RB was a perfect host to help ensure we had plenty of firewood for our evening fire. Everything was clean and ready for us. We would have stayed longer but work called us back home. Just to know, there is no actual closet space except for the loft area which has plenty of room. If you don't have a problem climbing the loft ladder...no worries. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Stay!

Our time at the Sha Bear cabin was the most relaxing we ever had. Very peaceful, quiet, and the cabin was very clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated with all the amenities. The day trips to Troy and Libby and also exploring the mountain roads was so much fun. We stayed 7 days and hope to return again. The owners are wonderful.

Awesome stay

We really enjoyed staying here! Location was great and the cabin is great. The cabin had everything we needed and what we used most was the two lawn chairs on the porch !!! We will stay here again if we go there again !!!

Cabin Stay

The cabin was beautiful and very private. The beds were comfortable. The bedding was good quality. We were able to walk a short distance to the river and saw a lot of deer. Wonderful stay!

A little piece of Heaven

Our stay was perfect. The cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed quiet afternoons on the porch watching the deer and squirrels play. The host was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas.

Gorgeous Cabin in the Woods!

This incredible hand made log cabin on a beautifully manicured property right off the Yaak river had everything we needed to be comfortable and relaxed. The owner is very attentive and friendly, we really enjoyed our first stay on the Yaak and at the Shabear cabin...

A Perfect Getaway!!

This place is absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for a getaway this is the place. The cabin is beautiful an has everything you would ever need. The views in the area are breathe taking. RB and his wife made our stay super simple and were there for anything we ever needed. This was a great place to stay in a location that’s like a little piece of heaven. I’m already looking forward to going back!!

Wonderful quiet location in the pines. The wildlife on the property was nice to wake up to in the morning. The accomodations are very nice and clean. Would definitely return to this property!

Great Cabin!

This is by far the cleanest VRBO property I have stayed in. RB and Sha were very helpful and gracious hosts. We were very impressed with the extensive amenities offered for guests from an ice maker, keurig, coffee pot, and basic pantry items. They even had various toiletries available should one need them. The location is peaceful and quiet with no cell reception (woohoo!). You can relax on the porch and watch the wildlife. RB and Sha are encyclopedias of information on the area and are always willing to ensure you have everything you need. Thank you so much for a great stay!

Nice, feels like home!

We enjoyed all the little accommodations -Keurig coffee packets, spices, ice maker, soaps, sunscreen, cleaning supplies. It was so nice to have that there if we forgot to bring something. The owner was so nice and friendly. He gave some suggestions that turned out to be perfect for our family. If we visit upper Montana again, I would love to stay there again.

Overall a great place to stay.

Great location for fishing. Surprised to find we were responsible for cleaning shower, floors etc prior to leaving? Really nice cabin though, beds were amazing and comfortable.

We are retired Military and currently run a business out of our home. We counsel people on their relationships & we are Life Coaches. We love living in the National Forest & to walk out on our balcony and hear the river rushing by is amazing to us. We try to have our coffee on the deck as much as possible.

Living high in the mountains of the extreme North West corner of Montana has always been our dream place. We have always lived in the mountains but always wanted to be remote. My husband RunningBear and I bought our log home in 2002 and then built the Amish Log Cabin rental 2 years later. We wanted to be able to have extra space for family and friends to come and visit and have their own privacy. We have never wanted to live anywhere else. The beauty of the Yaak Valley is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been & we have lived all over the country.

We love the sound of the river streaming by everyday. We love the sound of all the Eagles screeching flying above looking for food and the deer longing around the property. We love walking out amongst the tall pines, hiking the trails, fishing, riding horses or ATV's.
