Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the property did not meet your expectations during your stay. We would, however, like to clarify for future guests that the South Toe River is accessible directly from the property. To reach the river, guests do need to walk down the riverbank, and one portion of the bank is a little steep. The bank itself is not very large, but as with any natural riverbank, guests should use caution and access the river at their own risk. We appreciate your feedback regarding the river access, as we understand that easier access can make a significant difference for guests who specifically plan to enjoy fishing, swimming, or tubing. The owner is aware of this and is planning to make updates to the beach area by the river in the near future to make that area more enjoyable and accessible for guests. We also understand that bedroom size is a matter of personal preference. We do our best to accurately represent the home through the listing photos and description so guests can determine whether the layout will work well for their needs. Regarding checkout, we do ask guests to strip the beds as part of our departure instructions. We understand that procedures can vary from one vacation rental to another, and we appreciate our guests’ assistance with this. We’re sorry this property was not the right fit for your vacation, but we appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to clarify the river access for future guests. We are also looking forward to the improvements the owner has planned for the riverfront beach area.

We’re glad to hear that you found the cabin clean, well stocked, and just as pictured, and that you were able to enjoy the patio and the peaceful sound of the creek. We are sorry that the hot tub was not at the expected temperature when you arrived, especially since you were looking forward to using it after a long drive. We completely understand how disappointing that would be. We would like to clarify the issue with the hot tub, as this particular situation can occasionally happen. In many cases, a lower temperature is the result of the hot tub accidentally being placed into Eco Mode. Sometimes this can happen through normal use due to user error, but we have also found that when the hot tub cover is being put back on, it can come into contact with the buttons on the control panel and inadvertently switch the tub into Eco Mode. When this happens, the hot tub maintains a much lower, warm temperature rather than heating to the normal hot tub temperature. While this is often an accidental setting issue rather than a mechanical problem with the hot tub, we certainly understand that you did not intentionally change the setting and that it was frustrating to arrive and find the water at only 78 degrees. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention again, and we will continue looking at ways to help prevent this from happening for future guests. We’re glad you otherwise enjoyed the cabin and its beautiful creekside setting, and we truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us.
