The lodge sits high on Richard's Mountain, surrounded by the Georgia National Forest — so the first thing you notice is the quiet. It's the kind of deep, peaceful stillness that's hard to find, and even harder to leave.
Despite how secluded it feels, you're just a short drive from some of our favorite places in North Georgia. Downtown Blue Ridge is a gem — great local restaurants, unique shops, and a relaxed small-town vibe that feels like a world away from Atlanta. Mercer Orchards is a seasonal favorite of ours, and the wineries in the area are absolutely worth an afternoon. For the outdoorsy crowd, the hiking trails nearby range from easy walks to rewarding summit climbs with views that rival the lodge's own.
What we enjoy most is that there's no wrong way to spend a day here. Some of our best trips have been equal parts adventure and doing absolutely nothing — and the mountain has a way of making both feel exactly right.
