Bethany Holiday House is located in the heart of the historic center of Fréjus, in a charming pedestrian street within what is often considered the old town’s artistic quarter. The atmosphere here is authentic and lively, with colorful façades, local cafés, small shops, and historic architecture creating a unique Provençal setting. What I enjoy most about this area is that everything is within walking distance, allowing visitors to experience the true rhythm of the city while enjoying a peaceful environment away from traffic.
There is an incredible amount to see and do nearby. The Roman Amphitheater is about 10 minutes away on foot, along with the archaeological museum and many historic sites that reflect the rich heritage of Fréjus. The magnificent historic villa that now serves as a library is also worth visiting. Every Saturday morning, the popular Provençal market offers fresh, locally produced foods and regional specialties, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

Transportation is very convenient, with both the train station and bus station approximately 10 to 15 minutes away on foot. During the summer season, a free daily shuttle bus connects the historic center to the beaches and coastal areas, making it easy to enjoy the sea without needing a car.

Families will find plenty of activities as well. Aqualand and Luna Park are nearby and particularly popular with children, while the large seaside park Base Nature François Léotard hosts events, sports activities, and festivals throughout the year. The Roman Amphitheater also hosts concerts and cultural events during the summer months.

For those who enjoy golf, several courses are accessible within about 15-20 min. by car. Overall, the area offers a wide variety of experiences — cultural, recreational, and family-friendly — often more diverse than staying directly by the beach. Over time, with patience, care, and a lot of love and effort, it has been transformed into the warm and welcoming home it is today. Preserving elements like the exposed stone was important to us, as they reflect the authentic character and history of the old town.

In summer, guests enjoy nearby beaches, festivals, markets, concerts, and the lively atmosphere of the region, with a free shuttle connecting to the coast. In winter, the historic center becomes peaceful and intimate, perfect for relaxing stays, cultural visits, and enjoying the charm of southern France without crowds.
