What a beautiful cottage right on the beach of Lake Superior! This was our third trip to the Upper Peninsula, but our first time visiting the Keweenaw Peninsula. The cottage has a great deal of charm, both inside and out, and is very well-maintained. Jan was a fantastic host; she was incredibly accommodating with some of our special requests, and we appreciated that. The cottage was exactly as it is presented. From a location standpoint, the cottage is situated in a more remote area of the peninsula, away from tourists, which was exactly what we were looking for. However, it's important to note that you will need to drive 15 to 30 minutes to reach various attractions, but the drive is absolutely beautiful. This is exactly what you should want while visiting such an amazing area.If I could change anything, it would be the presence of flies and mosquitoes, but that's just part of nature and not the host's fault. It’s to be expected in July, especially in the type of area this cottage is nestled in. This was not a surprise to us as we have visited this area in July before. If you are looking for a place to get away from the rush of life, the distractions of your phone, the stress of work, this cottage is a perfect way to disconnect.
