White Lake Cottage for rent. Prime location with 80' of frontage on beautiful White Lake, just two miles from Lake Michigan and 1 hour from Grand Rapids. This charming, well maintained property is a wonderful escape. You'll love its stunning views of White Lake, sunsets and the channel to Lake Michigan. This remodeled cottage, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, has a classic rustic cabin feel with beautiful knotty pine walls. It's located behind the main house but is elevated, so still offers beautiful lake views. Enjoy 2 kayaks and 2 stand up paddle boards.

Highly recommend for a stay on the West side of MI

Everything about the property was very clean! Lake access was a huge bonus. The owners did a wonderful job communicating with me before the trip and made everything a breeze. Would stay at the property again.

Great guest house

Everything was great! The communication with the owner was excellent, including good recommendations and really helpful tips about the area. Our family of five was very comfortable with the accommodations felt welcomed when interacting with the owners. Thanks for a great stay in Michigan!

Great little place on White Lake

We love this little cottage. The perfect location to get to Duck Lake State Park, in to Whitehall, and on White Lake. It's super peaceful and plenty of places for all my growing kids to sleep. Kitchen is well equipped and plenty of towels! Thanks for sharing your cottage with us!

Relaxing with our teens

We had a wonderful time at this cozy clean cottage. Our boys loved fishing off the dock and kayaking. Our host even took us on a sunset cruise! This cottage is near a store, beaches, trails and huge sand dunes!

Perfect winter retreat

Exceptional property. Very clean, very cozy, very well done. Peaceful. This is one of the nicer properties I have stayed at from any online platform. The accuracy of the listing and the cleanliness of the “cottage” exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back.

Perfect for Adults!

This property was everything expected and more! The host did not miss a beat! Every convenience item one could imagine was available to us. Plenty of room for the 5 of us and more. Seating area with a gorgeous view outside as well. The host was so helpful with sharing info on local tourist spots, restaurants, markets, etc. Not a lot of outdoor play area for kids but perfect for a family of adults! Highly recommend!!!

Amazing cottage and hosts

We spent three nights at the cottage and loved it! Ross the owner arrived not long after we checked in and not only verified we understood where everthung was, he also took us out on his boat to see the sunset on Lake Michigan. It was a bit cloudy but we still had gorgeous views of the pink sky and sunset. He then made a bonfire with s'mores when we returned to the house. The location is easily accessible from hwy 31 and was a great starting point for a day trip to Silver Lake and the sand dunes. We also did a day at Duck Lake which is very close and a day in Muskegon hiking and seeing the sub. If we return to western MI, we will hopefully be able to stay at the cottage again.

Everything was perfect

The cottage was perfect for our short trip to the lake. The hosts were so kind and really went above and beyond to let our kids use their kayaks and SUPs. The beds were comfortable, the cottage was clean and well stocked, the location was perfect for playing in White Lake and Lake Michigan. My boys have already asked when we can come back! Thank you for your gracious hospitality and for everything extra you did for our kids.

Wonderful!

Laura and Rusty were great hosts! Rusty went out of his way to help my boys enjoy the kayaks and paddle boards. Laura was very helpful in suggesting some gluten free dining options. The cottage was indeed cute and cozy, with great lake views. We enjoyed being just 6 minutes away from Lake MI too! It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay!

Perfect in every way!

My husband and I brought our two kids here for a family weekender. Michigan Adventure is super close and there’s so much to see nearby that we enjoyed together. The property was perfect and spacious- very clean! Had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the board games provided- epic games of battleship and charades were had, lol. Location is awesome! The view of the lake is wonderful. We honestly didn’t feel the noise from passing cars was bad at all. The AC unit in the guest room closest to the road really helped mask any traffic sounds. We all slept great and felt very at home & comfortable. Highly recommend this property and would absolutely stay here again!

Nice & comfortable

This cottage is comfortably appointed and in a quiet spot. It has a nice deck with water views and access to the lake is as described. The thing that surprised us was how very close to the road the cottage is - we heard the cars going by much more prominently than we heard sounds from the waterfront. Overall we had a nice stay - we brought our bikes and rode to the lighthouse and to Duck Lake State Park. We also rode the Montague Hart Bike trail. Nice biking in the area and the sandwiches at Pekadills in downtown Whitehall are great!

Relaxing family vacation in a beautiful area

We had an amazing 4 days at the cottage. It was so clean and had many amenities. Sunsets in White Lake are very impressive. The cottage is in a great location to visit other area beaches and attraction. The owners were so accommodating and kind. Highly recommend the cottage and the location.

Cute, clean and perfect for families

Great little cottage that is perfect for families. Our family of four had a wonderful time relaxing in the cottage and exploring the area. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we had plenty of room with the pullout couch and extra bed in family room. Cottage was supplied with "extras" in case you forgot something, which is always appreciated. Very nicely updated and decorated as well!
