Here's the place to kick back, fish and recharge or to enjoy endless attractions Central Florida--Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens, LegoLand. My home is a renovated 2 bedroom 2.5 bath home with gorgeous sunsets on Lake Echo. Master bedroom has full bath with French doors leading to a screened deck with lounge chairs allowing you to watch the water skiers or pelicans diving for breakfast. "Kids" bedroom has Animal Kingdom theme with bunks. Large main room splits for two living and one dining area. Florida room has breakfast nook and queen sofa bed. Both bedrooms and one living area have TV (one DVD) with Roku connections. Wireless internet available. Kitchen has granite countertops, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, and gas stove. Full size washer and dryer is next to kitchen. But more....the views are awesome from the back of the home through 2 sliding doors and bay windows along with French doors all look west to the lake. There is a 16'x30' covered deck with lots of shaded deck seating or step down to the 3rd deck for sunning and a picnic table. Then proceed further to the pier where you can dock your own boat/jet ski, use my paddleboat, or fish. Of course, the lake offers swimming and a sand beach area. The paddle boat is possibly available with advanced notice and signing liability waiver. But it doesn't end as there is another lakeside picnic pavilion and gas grill. Across the street is the Lake Alfred/Winter Haven bike/jogging path of about 5 miles. Again, location is central to everything Florida--LegoLand, Disney, Universal Orlando, Sea World, Busch Gardens Tampa, Bok Tower, and so many pure Florida attractions. Even watch space launches from the front yard. The home has hosted many Northern retirees coming for months at a time as the place to winter, relax in the sun(contact me for special rates). I have hosted a book author, television producer while shooting in the area, and even an interview session filmed for Discover Channel. It is also a big spring hit when Polk County hosts high school and college baseball/cheering national events.

This the place to relax, refresh or the never ending attractions. Come stay and enjoy.

We had a fabulous stay in Lake Alfred. The home was very comfortable and provided much needed rest and relaxation. The home had everything we could have needed and then some. We especially enjoyed the deck overlooking the lake all times of day and night. William was forthcoming with information for our stay and had many suggestions to for things to do and restaurants in the area. I would definitely stay again when I’m back in the area.

Peaceful and relaxing

Was perfect getaway in quiet, peaceful neighborhood yet on a small pong loaded with wildlife around. Close to many attractions as well! Bill was exceptional with communication and making sure all our questions were answered. We will definitely be staying again in the near future!

Perfect for our baseball tournament

We really enjoyed our stay, the back porch on the lake is by far the best view of our trip. We relaxed every evening by the lake after a long day of playing baseball. Also it’s very quiet but still close enough to everything to have a nice peaceful vacation. A lot of good local dining places to get away from the chain restaurant and support local businesses

Nice setting.

Home and lake setting were as described. Beautiful views of the lake. Only problem was the stink. It was there just about all month, at sunset on a calm evening or early in the morning. Don't know if that's a collection system next door and maybe that's the problem, but the sewage smell makes go you inside and out of the yard at sunset. Very nice overall experience tho.

Excellent stay near the theme parks

Very nice apartment, quiet and idyllic location by the lake.Very well equipped, clean rooms and all the amenities you need.Bill is a very nice host who is always on hand with help and advice.We can recommend the apartment without reservation.

I was working near there for several weeks. Location was quiet and conveniently located to necessary grocery stores and shopping as well. Great sunsets over the lake.

Baseball weekend on Lake Echo

Truly enjoyed this home and view. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful! We were over for a baseball tournament and looking for a place to stay so the boys could fish. Had a good time! Thanks, William!

Beautiful Sunsets!

This place was a wonderful place for our family to gather during wedding weekend for our daughter. There were several days that I stayed in the home by myself as I was planning out final details and before the rest of the family arrived. The house was clean and safe. There was wonderful patio spaces for dining and just hanging out. Bill was so great to work with and was responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely Stay - Fantastic Outdoor Spaces

This was the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. We enjoyed the deck and the amazing view. The sunsets are spectacular. We were visiting the area to attend our sons baseball games at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex. The location was very convenient to the venue and Winter Haven. We will be looking to stay here next year!

Relaxing Deck with views

House is very roomy and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the deck watching pelicans, ospreys and the occasional gator. Lake Alfred is convenient to many attractions and parks. The owner, Bill, was great about communicating with us. Highly recommend it.

Quiet location

Our family enjoyed our stay. The property owner was responsive and the home was definitely family friendly. It was spacious with plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the sunset. Would book again.

Lovely home - Especially enjoyed the outside deck and fishing!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Bill was extremely responsive to a few questions we had and took care to give us all the details about the property and local area we needed. The house was well appointed, very clean, a great spot for a family vacation for sure and close to local restaurants and attractions (we didn't go for the attractions though). My only "wish" if I had one would be a king sized bed! My husband and I are tall and appreciate the roominess of a larger bed. Other than that, it was a beautiful property and a great place to stay! My son, who visited one afternoon, enjoyed fishing from the dock and went around the lake with his friend on the paddleboat. One personal highlight of my visit to the surrounding area was a wildlife reserve called Circle B Bar Reserve. Definitely worth the 20 minute drive .. wonderful place to walk and see all kinds of birds, alligators, raccoons, armadillos, etc. etc. One of the best wildlife reserves I've been to. Lot's of shady areas to walk. Don't forget to stop and get a map and bring your camera!! Thank you Bill for the great stay!! Sandy & Kevin

Beautiful Lake Cottage

Bill has a lovely house and is an excellent host. Every evening my wife and I would sit on the deck having dinner and watching the sunset over Lake Echo. It was a gorgeous event each night. An example of Bills hosting was, when I mentioned the coffee maker leaked, he immediately ordered a new one. This home is a perfect couples getaway or for a family looking to enjoy Florida's attraction like Legoland, Disney World or Busch gardens.

Stunning sunsets.

Lovely house with all kinds of thoughtful touches throughout the house. Very responsive to questions. All-around had a great stay. We ate every breakfast and dinner on the deck. Beautiful views all day long, but the stunning sunsets stole the show. We enjoyed all 3 decks during our stay. We went to Peppa pig theme park and Legoland. About a 20 min drive. We also took a nice stroll on the rail trail right across the street. We have small kids and the only thing I wish we had brought with us was black out curtains for nap time. We made it work, but will bring those next time. We would absolutely stay here again next time we come to town.

Lakeside retreat

Very clean, very quiet with a great view of a lake. The location is very handy and off the busy highway. Enjoyed the air hockey table (we tied). Bill provided lots of information ahead of time and while we were there. The large deck had lots of options for seating and viewing. If in the area again would rent again.

Great Place

This was a great house right on the water. The outside decks are huge and we spent a lot of time just sitting out there. Kids loved all the games and the sandy area. We wanted to use the paddle boat but never actually got around to it. As the title says great place and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

My first VRBO

This was a great place. The lake side of the house was all windows so you could enjoy the sunsets and all the birds on the lake. The house was clean and well kept, the owner would contact me when he would come over to do maintained the house and I was there when the hurricane came thru. Nice place and I would stay there again, the peace and quite was great also.
