Had a great time!

The main thing I will say is the road is STEEP!! I stopped on a curve going up and had to use 4 wheel drive to go again. No issues if you don’t stop

Wonderful

The property was all we wanted it to be. Quiet and secluded but still close to town for activities. The decor was charmingly rustic.

Nice place but needs some TLC.

The cabin was beautiful but could use a good deep cleaning. The smell of the water was absolutely awful. The washing machine didn't work and the kitchen could use a lot more utensils, pots/pans etc. The check in/out process was very simple and the area is gorgeous.

Good stay, Needs improvements

Overall it was a decent stay. The ceiling fans in the main living area had not been dusted in a LONG time, the air filter was past due for changing, and the water smelled rotten. Every time we called for service the people were friendly and quick to reply. They fixed the outside lighting for us, fixed the cable and ordered a water filter that will hopefully benefits the next tennants that stay there.

Vacay get-a-way

We had a great time staying out in TN this year. The cabin was more than what we expected. Location was great! There is little to no cell service in the cabin, but there is WI-FI. We went with a group of 6, and had more than enough space to make sure no one was on top of each other. We were a bit bummed that the air hockey table was broken and missing a puck, but the arcade games were a blast. The place could us a littttle more upkeep, but overall a great time. It’s a great location if you like to be close to Gatlinburg and some of the local stores and what not, but back at the cabin you feel far from everything.

Not to happy

The cabin was nice but called the manager for 2 days trying to get the cable or tv’s fixed and working and trying to get the fireplace working and trying to get the porch lights fixed. Got up the first morning and didn’t have sufficient kitchen cooking supplies to cook for a family

Water stinks

Arrived with group of 10 friends and Stayed for a weekend and none of them could dare to open any tap. Tap water stinks like sewer. When complained we have been told that it’s ground water and someone will come and check but no one showed up even after multiple calls. None of us took bath for entire stay because of this. We had to use bottled water even for face wash. Other than this, place and view is really good . Be sure to carry your own blankets and towels.

Never again

Arrived at the property to find the maintenance works there, one was nice enough to let us look at the property before we checked in. The smell was horrible. This was at 6pm. Called the office to either have money refunded or give us another cabin. 2.5 hours of being on the phone with them, they agreed to give us an upgrade at no further cost. I will not rent the hidden owl cabin again. Water was black had sewer smell the cabin stunk, weeds needed cut. The up grade cabin they gave was was wonderful I can say that it was the Whipperwhil in Gatlinburg very beautiful.

Not good at all.

The hot water did not work in some bathrooms. There were only 6 towels in the cabin for 19 people. And there was only bed linen for the 4 beds not the pull out beds. After calling 3 times about this and 12:30 am they brought towels and sheets and blankets. There was a gap in the door of one of the bedrooms that was big enough for a small animal or snake to get in. The TVs in all the bedrooms did not work. Over all this was not a good vacation. But when I called the cabin they gave 20% off my next stay whenever that may be. I don’t not get to that area at all. But it is there if I do go.

The property seemed as if it were really nice 20 years ago but hasn't been maintained. There was a terrible smell any time the water was ran and it tasted awful. Unavoidable, but a heads up in the description would have maybe been nice. Or some usable drinking water provided. In addition to the water smell, there was trash outside below the balcony. Dirty underwear and beer cans to be exact. There were also cigarette butts on the from porch. We were provided exactly one trash bag and one roll of paper towels for a weekend long stay in a house that sleeps 19 people. We were also only provided one kitchen towel and one dishrag. The "limited" kitchen supplies included a coffee maker with no filters and knives so dull I would have been better off using my fingernails. Sheets were nicely provided for the sleeper sofas on the main level but we had to go on a scavenger hunt to find them for the sofas in the basement and loft. I'm not sure we ever found enough but instead used flat sheets from other beds. There were not batteries in the remotes and many of the items in the "game area" (including the pool table) were broken and unable to be used. The stools at the counter (which looked as if it would fall on your lap) were all broken and the pull-out in the loft was broken and pillows had been used in an attempt to make it sleepable (which didn't work). Any one of these minor inconveniences would not have impacted our stay. But together, it made the weekend far less enjoyable.

Do not stay with Gatlinburg falls resort

So to start check in was suppose to be 4 to 6 pm we came from Michigan left at 6 am looking to get there around 5pm we show up at 5pm they say the cabin still needs to be inspected I said ok how much longer they get with dispatch and said two more hours so we go into town I call back at 9 saying that I still haven’t heard from them after talking for 25 minutes they finally give me a code to the cabin no email just over the phone. We go to the cabin and didn’t get an email with the pass code for the door or a Wi-Fi passcode. So we go in And find out the AC is not working one of the bathrooms has a black slime on it and some of the toilets don’t work. I go to call the resort manager and the phone for the house doesn’t have charger so no phone and of course it’s really hard to get service after walking up and down the road finally got service called them and said all the issues manager said someone will be out on the next day. The next day came we went into town I call at 5pm to see if someone has looked at the ac and they said someone did and we are good now. Get back to the cabin at 8 pm still no AC and all other issues still there I call and they said they will send someone out the next day so the next day comes and finally they came and fixed the AC. Was very disappointed in this rental will never rent from this resort again. Also got the confirmation email. On the last day we were at the cabin. Also the water smelled like rotten eggs. If I were you do not rent from them your are not a priority they manage over 400 cabins we stayed in the hidden owl lodge.

Great cabin, poor amenities

Cabin and managers were great. Deck was in need of repairs. Had a party of 16 and their were only 2 towels in each bathroom. One thin blanket on beds, none on pull outs. 6 coffeemakers but only 2 small skillets and baking sheets. Very few cooking utensils. All side shelves in fridge were broken. No dish cloths or towels. Standing in the street to call management: they ALWAYS answered and were fairly quick to provide what we needed, even though dropped calls necessitated multiple calls. Can only park 3 vehicles comfortably. I would book again knowing I had to bring everything with me that they claimed
