Beautiful San Marcos River House SLEEPS up to 26!!! 10 minutes from downtown San Marcos but nestled in the historic Martindale Community. Private gated home on 3 acres with 500' of river front is perfect for relaxing, family gatherings or just a place to rest your head. Features large outdoor entertainment area with fire pit, hot tub. Large screened porch overlooking the river complete with beautiful evening sunsets

Martindale is just minutes from San Marcos and is a quaint community on the San Marcos River. Walk to downtown Martindale for a coffee and food at Martindale River Cafe, or pick up grocery supplies (including beer/wine) at the charming Good Things Grocery. Both are located on Main Street.

If you are a BBQ enthusiast, don't miss visiting nearby Lockhart, Tx for it's world famous BBQ joints (Smitty's, Blacks and Kreutz's Markets). A little further down the road is Luling, Tx, home of City Market BBQ.

Martindale is a small community with ample free parking. Walk to downtown or drive to nearby cities like San Marcos (home of Texas State Univ.) or the BBQ mecca Lockhart for supplies.

Weekend wedding

Family stayed here for my daughter's wedding. Nice spacious house we really enjoyed it. Would recommend staying here.

Our annual family gathering was well accommodated with this house and location. Property was better than we expected, great host! Would recommend for groups of any size.

ANNUAL FAMILY RIVER TRIP

This was our 2nd time to stay at this home. This home is amazing. You literally have to bring only yourself, clothes, and food. The host provides everything else. The house has plenty of pots, pans, utensils, storage containers...you name it, they have it. Very spacious. We had persons coming in/out the entire time we were there. Upto 20 at one time and no issues with sleeping arrangements (except for our snorers!!! LOL). We had so much fun playing ping pong and we brought our cards and blackjack set up and had a blast after our long days on the river. The river just outside the house this year was pretty dirty, but no worries. We packed up and went just a short distance to the bridge and hung out there all day. And at the end of the day a few of us floated back to the house. This was an added bonus. There are other places to hang out that are only a short distance so no worries if you come and the water is "muddy". Many thanks to the owners for sharing your wonderful space on the San Marcos River!!!

Wonderful stay

Was a fabulous stay at this house. Went to the F1 race and location was great. Furnishings were perfect right down to the bunn coffee maker. Wish we had more of the family joining us because it’s a great place for a large family gathering. Thanks for sharing with us. Definitely be back.

Perfect house for large groups

The property is even better in person! 18 adults stayed here comfortably and easily could’ve fit more. Spacious, clean, organized, and felt safe! Beautiful in the house and outside. Our group loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic property with all amenities you could desire

Property had everything you could desire from activities to cool shollow water out back. Large space which held 26 people with plenty of room. Distance to San Marcos is fantastic as well. Would recommend to anyone.

Perfect Location & Lots of Space

This was one of the best rentals I've stayed in. The rooms are much larger than they appear online, and the house was clean & full of amenities. We had a group of 23 adults & had plenty of space. The river behind the house was a nice, relaxed float & the backyard patio was one of our favorite places to gather at sunset. I hightly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing river getaway.

Everything you need

We had a group of 16 people and this house had plenty of space! There was corn hole, volleyball, soccer, and even more yard games. Hot tub worked great and the patio was nice to relax on. The kayaks were great and we enjoyed a float that led straight to the house. The bathrooms were large so we had plenty of space. The owner was very responsive and helpful when needed. Can’t wait to come back!

Church Youth Girl's Camp

The property was fantastic for our large group of youths (21 girls plus a couple adults. Lots of beds and the open main living/dining/kitchen was ample for activities. The location large property and access to the river was great for outdoor activities as well. Overall a great experience.
