City of William the Conqueror and capital of the Duchy of Normandy along with Rouen, the town has inherited a rich architectural heritage, some of which was destroyed during the Battle of Caen. This city is sure to delight history buffs, with must-see sites such as the Château Ducal, the Abbaye aux Dames, Saint-Pierre Church and the Rue Froide in the old town!
