I’ve been renting homes for trips for the past 3 years, once my sons grew taller than me. I can honestly say this was the best experience I’ve had in the USA.
The host was responsive and went above and beyond, knowing we were traveling with dogs. There were dog bowls, treats, and waste bags in the home for our pups.
For us humans, the house was spotless, lots of towels and linens, paper products, stocked kitchen, stocked laundry, quality soap/hand sanitizer/hand lotion, beautiful farmhouse decor that made you feel at home.
TVs in living room and bedroom worked with our streaming services and we plugged in the laptop to watch NFL playoffs.
Neighborhood is quiet. There are dogs to the right and back so we were careful to not go out back of those dogs were out, which only happened once. There is ample front yard grass to take out the dog. Front porch and back patio would be great for warmer days.
Location was great for us. 20 minutes to Massanutten Resort, which did not allow dogs, and 20 minutes to Harrisonburg. For suburban folks like us (and city folks), there’s no food delivery and you will need to drive at least 10-15 minutes for a good restaurant. This is no knock against the listing. Just an FYI if you’re not used to rural life.
